For what projects/services did your company hire Prototeam?

Previously we had been using a generic template for the website that looked very outdated and we've been wanting to redesign for a while. The main aim was to create a more exciting brand with a better UI/UX to help the user get to the relevant properties faster and with more control.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We tendered the project out and found 3 serious companeis that sent us proposals. The reason we selected Prototeam was they understood the challanges that a site like this faces at a deeper level than anyone else we spoke with. Their experience and knowledge with Google Maps was vital for this project and fundementally i just felt we alligned better with them than anyone else.

As we are a startup we had to tackle this large project in stages, so initially they helped us in desinging the flow the user would take, designing wireframes of the initial content and helping us understand what content we would need to work on.

we then moved onto specific design of each of the pages and came up with a great design that felt unique in our market.

Finally they worked with our developer in the implementationof their design and have been excellent with any last minute tweaks we asked for. All this was done through Figma.

In total we worked with:

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The site hasn't launched yes so i can't provide outcomes but the developers have found the handover to be excellent and the design's and documentation easy to follow.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Excellent, finding a team that can work with a start-up like ours is not easy as there are a lot of ideas and changes throughout the process, they allignement between us was excellent.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their vision with the limited info we provided was excellent and overall their work ethic and delivery was so consistant. They were generally lovely to deal with throughout the collaboration.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None.

I’m the CEO of an IT service company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Prototeam?

We needed to design a web-based application for our internal processes.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

After our first contact, Prototeam reached out with an accurate estimate. They laid out how long they’d work on each point, specifically on each module to redesign our internal application. Then, they designed everything in Figma, which allowed us to follow all the steps. They reached out frequently to talk about the progress and get feedback. At the end of the day, the results were delivered to the content developer.

The application already existed; it just had to be redesigned to make it more logical for internal users. Basically, Prototeam took our application and transformed it into a better solution.

We just worked with Kateryna (Co-Founder).

How did you come to work with Prototeam?

We found them on Toptal.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $5,000–$10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in March 2021, and the final result was ready in August 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We didn’t measure it with numbers, but we got excellent internal feedback. Also, our frontend developer mentioned that it was one of the best experiences working with UI designers, so their work was highly praised.

How did Prototeam perform from a project management standpoint?

They were exceptionally on time; we were very impressed with that. We had frequent calls on Microsoft Teams to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They had a high personal engagement in the project. Prototeam was very professional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t recall something that could’ve been better. They actually asked about it, but there wasn’t anything to add.

Just go ahead and use the opportunity if you have the resources.

I am the CEO of a web development agency in Kyiv, Ukraine

For what projects/services did your company hire Prototeam?

We are looking for solid UI/UX designers who will help us to create an interface for learning management systems for traders. The main goal is to make sure that more students reach the end of the course. Because if the client completes the course, he gets the result, satisfaction and better buys the next courses. That is, the global goal is to increase repeat purchases of courses on the learning platform.

How did you select this vendor?

We were looking for designers in various design communities in Ukraine. According to the reviews, we chose several agencies, but chose Prototeam because they were perfect. Even before the start of the work, they gave a lot of useful advice on how to better build the process of creating UI/UX, were very friendly and motivated by the result. In addition, the offer turned out to be the best

Initially, their team did a study of the audience, because the audience is quite specific - traders. We also provided the technical requirements for which the designers developed the information architecture. Then they worked on wireframs and later on design mockups.

I and my project manager worked directly with UI/UX designer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The Prototeam team 100% coped with the result and met the needs of our client. And we, as developers, were very comfortable working with such a team. All our requirements were met, and even more, they added a lot of good ideas that met the goals of the project.

We had very productive communication We made short but very effective video calls, because the designer immediately came prepared and offered effective solutions at once.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We did not need to tell what to do, we issued requirements, then their team said what and how to do, made a plan and executed it. We, as developers, were pleased to work with them because their designer took into account the smallest details.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Everything was great!

We shortlisted a few designer organizations on UpWork. After interviewing and reviewing the quickly proposed design/approach - it was clear that Prototeam was the perfect fit for us.

Their team conducted thorough research, market & competitor analysis. After discussing requirements with the tech team - information architecture was developed by Prototeam which served as a backbone for our future UX. The team then worked backwards to implement the matching UI with minimal user impact.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Prototeam managed to produce an outstanding result quickly that our customers loved. With their help our business was able to continue feature development on an established UI framework that the team developed. Our brand became coherent and we began to earn trust from our customers and attracted hundreds of new clients shortly after.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our teams' collaboration was extremely effective. Even though we were 7 hours apart (different timezones) - the team was very accommodating and worked around the timezone hurdles to ensure productive and consistent collaboration.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Team work, reliability and quality of the work produced. Throughout the entire lifespan of the project, I felt like we were the same team. Prototeam members pay great deal of attention to detail which was important to us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Would have been great if they were in the same office with us :) There were no drawbacks from our team. It was an professional and effective collaboration.

We needed someone to deeply dive into our documentation and idea collection and seamlessly join the team to bring our ideas to light.

We were working on an email client as a centerpiece of a productivity suite for Sales Reps which connects to their Tools Stack and supports them at their daily tasks and internal communication.

We had Kathy as a UI and UX expert, and the team behind her to assist.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

after deeply studying all the material, moodboards and idea collections from various product sprints and workshops (which was a vast amount) Kathy quickly got the gist of it and contributed a lot of high value elements.

She was like a mind reader of our entire team and incredible in translating our ideas into effective UI and UX elements.

Their team was incredibly responsive, fast, and punctual in responding and delivering results.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The speed in getting accustomed to our goals and documentation and the quick and precise delivery of what we needed.

I would hire her "as is" again - any time. And I surely will.
