The ProperExpression team worked with us on the following deliverables: 

1. Understanding the key types of organizations in our target market and the most typical relationships that exist between various entities in the healthcare provider space. 
2. Creating a new architecture in HubSpot via custom properties to link entities according to #1 above. 
3. Mapping all organizations in our databases according to the architecture in #2 above. 
4. De-duplicating multiple organizations that may relate to the same entity due to multiple names and domains used in the healthcare provider space. 
5. Applying the work from #1 through #4 above to handle more efficiently and reliably the association of contacts to companies -- under the very unique to healthcare situation where a contact may have multiple working email addresses with different domains, as per health system, hospital and even university affiliation. 
6. Separate from #1 through #5 above, review our Google Ads setup and advice on steps we can take to minimize the number of warnings and "false positives" we get from Google due to promoting key terms that are on their sensitive list due to connection to clinical trials. Provide specific recommendations on how to improve our Google Ads performance.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• Duplicates in our CRM decreased by 80%100% greater likeliness for the correct association between various contacts and organizations within the same health system 
• We're still implementing some of the Google Ads recommendations but, on first pass, the "false positives" from Google have decreased in the past few months.

Perhaps increase the in-house understanding of the long "Enterprise SaaS" sales process, and specifically on the softer side of things on what a day in the life of a sales rep looks like and how that ties to their ability and willingness (or lack thereof) to utilize martech.

I’m a co-founder at UAWC Agency - Digital Marketing Agency. We do e-commerce marketing for various clients across various tasks, such as PPC and creative.

What challenge were you trying to address with ProperExpression?

We had struggled with choosing a CRM for many years, experimenting with different solutions, working on active campaigns, and not achieving our desired outcome. Our team looked at options such as HubSpot and Salesforce. When we worked with HubSpot, we found it was a complex solution and needed a partner to help us choose a package and guide us through all the processes.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ProperExpression provides HubSpot consulting and support services for our sales department. Initially, we had a call where we explained our processes and active campaigns. I showed ProperExpression our deals and the limitations we had when it came to automation and email-related issues. At that point, we weren’t confident about proceeding with HubSpot. 

However, we’ve had several calls where ProperExpression’s team has explained how HubSpot works and which features we should prioritize and can get the most out of, such as progressive lead scoring, which helps us evaluate a lead’s quality. They know the CMS’s limitations and have used their expertise to show us how to work on an active campaign. 

Regarding specific support tasks, the team has also helped us set up automation and build a dashboard. When we have an issue with HubSpot, ProperExpression explains and helps us fix it. Currently, I contact the team only when we have an issue.

We work with three teammates from ProperExpression: Nikola (Founder & CEO), Trisha (Senior Digital Marketing Account Manager), and another teammate. Nikola is the primary consultant during our calls, and the other two teammates assist us via email and help with specific tasks.

We got an email from ProperExpression’s outreach campaign. 

How much have you invested with them?

We pay them an hourly rate to provide support through small tasks, and ProperExpression bills us at the end of the month. At the project's peak, we’ve paid $2,000 in one month. Overall, we’ve spent over $10,000 with ProperExpression. Additionally, I believe they receive a commission from HubSpot. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them around January 2023. Although the bulk of their work is done, they still provide support, so our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Thanks to ProperExpression’s work, we’ve raised our fees by 30%–40% due to working with high-quality leads. Moreover, we have our leads properly organized with good segmentation. The ProperExpression team has clearly identified the leads that wouldn’t work for us and automated the flow, which has helped us free the time sales reps used to spend on low-quality leads. Therefore, we can now focus on better leads. 

How did ProperExpression perform from a project management standpoint?

They deliver work on time and within the budget. Additionally, ProperExpression’s response time is super fast. 

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Nikola is amazing; he’s very experienced in B2B operations and can address our pain points to solve our problems. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

ProperExpression’s team is very hardworking.

Although my experience is limited to a short period, there’s nothing I’d have them improve. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Initially, I spent much time asking them to explain HubSpot features in small detail. However, I would save some money by reading about the features independently and trusting ProperExpression more instead of cross-checking. I recommend you trust them and save that time and money.

We ended the relationship with our previous agency, so we needed someone to step in quickly and take over all of our digital marketing efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, ProperExpression conducted an audit on our website and digital marketing initiatives. They identified the areas of opportunity and, since then, they’ve run all of our paid advertising campaigns on Google, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. We develop the creative work, but they make suggestions on what would work best. Also, they do audience targeting, provide keywords and recommendations every month, and give us feedback on the landing page and how we can drive conversions.

We’ve been consistently performing over industry benchmarks across the board. Based on the SEO work that they've done, our organic revenue has increased by 23% and organic traffic by 21%. Also, we have 27% more users and 26% more new users. In general, they’ve exceeded our expectations.

They’ve been perfect. We use weekly phone calls and emails to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They identify opportunities for us to grow the business and optimize our campaign. The team continuously tries to find target audiences for testing, so they’re on top of the industry. Also, ProperExpression benchmarks their own growth.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their reporting is comprehensive and they provide excellent feedback on monthly and annual metrics. We have also challenged them to provide reporting on a campaign level so we can see how our campaigns are performing from a more holistic perspective. They have been doing an outstanding job!

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have open communication and go over the numbers. Guiding them on what’s essential for your company from the beginning will make them understand the priorities to incorporate that into what they do. For example, brand image is crucial for us, so everything we do has to elevate it. We talked about that with them so they’d consider it.

At our initial meeting, I discussed my platform and the target demographic. The team at ProperExpressions asked insightful questions and took substantive notes. I quickly noticed their attention to detail and diligence. We had follow-up meetings where we crafted specific ads. The team created a brilliant strategy on how to market my platform and walked me through their thought process.

It is amazing how effective our campaign was. We received thousands of impressions and engagements. Our budget for social media marketing was better use of our resources than the traditional advertisement that we used. If I could change anything about my campaign, it would be to have used ProperExpression even more.

We were using HubSpot but the data wasn’t clean. The system wasn’t being used to its full capacity. Our goal was to clean it up and put some structure in place. We also needed support for our sales and marketing department, since I’m a team of one.

Right from the start, ProperExpression gave us good direction. They built the foundation of our marketing plans. We didn’t really have proper buyer personas and we didn’t have any processes in place.

They continue to help us with the implementation and automation of the lifecycle stages in HubSpot. The team also works on lead scoring, email marketing, email campaigns, and keyword research. They also help us implement sales sequences, too. Recently, they helped us launch our new pricing campaign.

We’ve extended their services three times because of how helpful they’ve been. The way we operate from our client-facing team to our technology team is now completely different. Our site is new and our processes are new and improved, too.

Our conversion rates are definitely better. ProperExpression has completely revolutionized our business. The team was really patient while helping us launch our pricing campaign. Now, we can attract the right kind of customers.

How did ProperExpression perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re amazing. The team is extremely productive. They come to me all the time with new ideas and they’re very proactive in offering help. They’ve taken the time to discover what’s important to us. Their turnaround time is great, too.

 I haven’t been let down by them once. We have weekly standups and monthly meetings with key stakeholders. Outside of that, I email Caroline and Trisha 5–6 times a week. Even with the time difference, they’re always available.

Their ability to teach and give guidance is really good. They also just make me look really good to my boss and colleagues; ProperExpression has done so much work behind the scenes and they don’t take credit for it.
