Promodo started b taking charge of 3 of our accounts in Google Ads. The goal was to decrease the CPA and increase the number of conversions, which consisted of building the keyword list, building new campaigns, and managing the performance. We started to see first results in a month or so, after campaigns passed the learning stage.

From December we started to see the desired goals of CPA and number of conversions compared to previous months before Promodo arrived. Since that Promodo showed sustainable results in managing the accounts, proposing new options like API to align campaigns with our job openings.

We did a lot of PPC before, so we already had an account, keywords, and active campaigns. Promodo has optimized everything to make it work better. They manage the promotions and post regularly on Facebook and Instagram.

Moreover, we’ve worked closely with Promodo to attract our customer base. We focus on low-credit customers, and our marketing strategy capitalizes on those who are on the market to purchase a vehicle. They’ve gone over the keywords to gain traction with our customers and slightly modified the website. Additionally, they do monthly blogs. They send the articles, we go over them to give them our approval, and they post them.

Project management is good. For communication, we have a group chat on WhatsApp with everyone. If we have any issues, we can go in there and get a response from the right person. We also have four monthly phone calls with them and regular emails if we need to get anything else across.

It was implemented on a step-by-step basis and generaled potential leads for the company which we managed to convert into sales.

They started with market research; we created a list of competitors and checked their marketing and performance strategies to help form our own. From that research, we realized we needed app store optimization (ASO) and SEO because we’re an app-only product and our customers look for us on Google. 

After forming our strategy, we decided on the tools: Facebook Ads and Google Ads. Promodo also helped us build our campaigns on the creative side. For this, we also checked what our competitors were doing and picked up what was most effective. We collaborated with the team to create a list of promo campaign materials.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve had very nice results from our collaboration with Promodo. We started the project as a new company, and now we have more than 300,000 clients in Azerbaijan. We also have 1 million app installs in the region, and the share of paid installs is almost 25%. 

These results have exceeded our goals, and that's because we organized our marketing strategy well, which has helped us minimize the cost of installing and get the most out of the money spent. We plan to keep working with Promodo because we still have a lot of challenges to meet in the future.

How did Promodo perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is my favorite part of working with them. The team is always available when we need them, even during weekends or holidays. We always get feedback on questions and issues fast, and they’re responsible for communicating. We have a weekly call which we plan with Google Calendar. They also have many documents in Google Sheets, which they update whenever they do something. For urgent messages and unusual issues, we use Telegram chats. 

As for timelines, I can’t think of any case where they didn’t meet deadlines. They deliver our reports on the first day of the month. Many things are automated on our end, which helps them move very quickly. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m Impressed by Promodo’s results and performance. When they made their initial offer for collaboration, they forecasted some figures, and their predictions happened. They’re exact and clear because they dig very deep into the market and our company. They understand our business very well, so they build effective performance strategies.

When we decided to start our projects in Nigeria and Vietnam, we didn’t consider another agency. We automatically decided we wanted to go to new markets with Promodo because they’re 100% true in what they do; when we ask them for something, they deliver. I’ve had many experiences in my career and have worked with companies that couldn’t get results. With Promodo, we consistently achieve what we need. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

The one area they could improve is to spread worldwide. While they have good expertise in Ukraine, more experience in different markets could be the next stage of their development. There’s a big difference in geographic zones, so it would be great if they had different teams worldwide that could help us understand some regions' markets better and faster.

You should be aware that you’ll need time and resources to help guide Promodo on your project. When you collaborate with a marketing agency, it doesn’t mean they’ll do everything for you; you’ll be involved in many calls and reports. You must be very professional and have marketing knowledge. Additionally, I recommend listening to Promodo’s advice — there’s a basis and a reason for it if they propose something.

We hired them mostly for SEO services for our website and Android App, and they helped us with some design recommendations. They’re also hands-on with some programming, and their biggest job was consulting us though.

For the app, we requested that they take a look at our ASO which is the respective SEO. In addition, they were supposed to provide us with PPC, but we paused our collaboration due to COVID-19 — we’ll hopefully resume in September.
