The scope of work included:

Contributing directly to the development of new features and enhancements for existing platforms.

Collaborating with our internal teams on architecture and technical discussions.

Participating in agile ceremonies such as planning sessions and backlog grooming.

Supporting design improvements through UI/UX contributions.

Conducting thorough QA activities to ensure release quality.

Contract team members were required to, and succeeded in, meeting our internal standards and metrics for performance.  Timeliness, Quality, and Client Experience are the pillars that we focus on and all three were met at 'Threshold' or above.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The frequent touchpoints and flexibility of the relationship management team was stellar.  They constantly adapt to our product and project needs while also maintaining a focus on the professional development and experience of their engineers.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Programmers Beyond IT could have done differently?

We've had a great experience.  I can't think of anything more we could have wanted thus far.  We're looking forward to growing our relationship on the product side while continuing to leverage their contract professionals as needed.

UX design for a refactoring of our web application to manage our products

How did you select this vendor?

Past experience with their great quality of work

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Their team conducted a kick off meeting and interviewed key stake holders on the requirements and goal. They also reviewed our existing web application. They then provided different design and UX options to select from. From there they utilized Figma to create a framework of different type of pages (eg, create object, edit object, object lists, etc) along with specific dimensions, color palette and behavior so that the developers could easily follow and implement. In some cases we had custom pages or functionality that they helped design. We met multiple times a week for a standup to review the latest work, provide feedback and make revisions.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our portal is still under development but we are utilizing all the design and functional elements provided from the project. This allows our developers to focus on implementation instead of ideation and experimentation on the design and functionality

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Excellent. We had multiple stand-ups during the week and their turnaround time on revisions, in most part, were ready for our next stand-ups

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The work ethic, ease of communications and sense of partnership instead of work fore hire. They always provided a POV and recommendations that helped move things along faster.
