I’m the CTO of a financial institution and tech leader of a mobility project.

What challenges were you trying to address with PersonalSoft?

We needed help with staff augmentation.

What was the scope of their involvement?

PersonalSoft has a contract and collaborates with the bank on several projects. We’re currently using them to integrate personnel for the project I’m leading. They provide backend, frontend, and mobile developers, as well as test automation and processes experts, which we added recently.

What was the team composition? 

We’re currently working with 13–14 people.

How did you come to work with PersonalSoft?

We were working with another service provider. Since the market is very volatile, we needed to diversify the number of vendors we worked with to have enough backup and prevent compromising our projects. During this process, we talked with PersonalSoft, and they offered us to test their team. They assigned a couple of developers for the trial, and we had a great experience.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent about $2 billion Colombian pesos (approximately $436,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in February 2020, and it’s an ongoing collaboration.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They have one of the lowest rotation rates in the market. PersonalSoft is fully transparent with their personnel; the staff is happy with them, which is why they have such a good retention rate.

Moreover, our measure of success is the value they add to our business. One of the projects with PersonalSoft’s team is a vehicle rental platform, which has an excellent performance, growing four times from 2020–2021.

How did PersonalSoft perform from a project management standpoint?

They exceed all expectations in terms of project management. They also have an outstanding working culture and human quality; whenever someone new joins the team, they’re always open to teaching them and collaborating to make the processes easier for everyone. Overall, they have great commitment and love for the project.

We use Azure and Microsoft Teams as tools to manage the project and communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They take excellent care of the team and have a great human quality.

Are there any areas they could improve?

With other companies, we’ve worked with mentoring figures, and PersonalSoft doesn’t have them. Although they’re always available to train their team, it isn’t institutionalized as it is in other places.                                                                                                                                                 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Trust them; they can help you grow our team gradually, keeping the best developers.

We engaged PersonalSoft for staff augmentation. The project management role is handled internally. PersonalSoft provided a Service Manager that met with us regularly to ensure team members' performance.
