BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a S2P (secure-to-pay) business analyst at CHS Inc, an agricultural company. We mostly help farmers in the Midwest and have some locations in South America and China. In my role, I work closely with a procurement system called Coupa, so I work as the system admin.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with The Perceptiv Group?

We needed help with an energy project. We were moving a few of our plants from JD Edwards (JDE) to Coupa, and The Perceptiv Group came in to help us with the implementation and redesigning of how we use Coupa.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The Perceptiv Group helped us with the integration of Coupa and SAP while we tried to sunset JDE. They did coding in the background to leverage everything between Coupa, SAP, and the stuff that we had in-house. They also helped with our day-to-day product support.

What is the team composition?

I worked closely with Paul, who worked with us as the system admin and integration architect. Another teammate helped with our product support.

We found them on LinkedIn.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October 2024–February 2025.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The Perceptiv Group was very detail-oriented and willing to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty. They were able to come in and help us with the process and planning of the project. They worked longer hours than they needed to come up with ideas to make the project run smoother.

They also helped us with a health check to make Coupa run a little smoother. They were very responsive and quick to jump on any issues. Overall, their service made life easier for us and met our expectations.

How did The Perceptiv Group perform from a project management standpoint?

They did well. We used Asana and Azure DevOps (ADO) boards. Paul helped us set up those ADO boards. We communicated through email and Microsoft Teams.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I’d like to shout out Paul. He was very elaborate and easy to talk to. He was willing to teach us along the way and explained the details of what we were implementing.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I liked their willingness to teach. They came in with a breath of fresh air and different experiences. They took the time to show us their tricks of the trade.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they could have improved on. They delivered everything we asked for.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open to new ideas and prepared to learn about new technologies. Don’t keep your cards too close to your chest. Give them as much information as possible so they can make your life as easy as possible.
