We are an online flooring retailer and I am the Support Manager.

For what projects/services did your company hire PEO Focus?

Being a start up company with a small team we were interested in partnering with a PEO for better benefit costs and outsourced HR services. We wanted to compare costs to make sure moving forward with a PEO would be beneficial to solve these challenges.

What were your goals for this engagement?

Offer the best priced benefits and find the best value for HR services.

How did you select PEO Focus?

We were referred to Michael from someone who had used his assistance on previous projects and he came highly recommended.

We discussed with Michael what our goals and growth plan was to determine if a PEO was the right choice for us at this time. He recommended that a PEO set up would be advantageous for our current stage but that we would compare outsourcing the services as well (open market for health benefits).

As we would grow we would continue to evaluate the value. Michael helped us price out (even the hidden fees) and evaluate 4-5 PEOs in comparison to outsourced options. He discussed with us the pros and cons of all of the offerings and answered any questions we had.

Once we narrowed down which would be the best fit for what we were looking for, he negotiated pricing and offerings with those companies to get a final number we agreed on.

For us as a small start up company that is looking to attract talent, achieve rapid growth and focus on our financials, Michael was a critical component in achieving that with our PEO set up.

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to make educated decisions in a quick time period. We did not have to put our time in shopping and negotiating with each PEO but instead to look at the information nicely compared together.

We also were able to provide our current employees with excellent and cost effective health benefits (many even reached out impressed with the offerings) and use those benefits to bring on new talent.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Excellent. Quick responses, flexible availability, clear and concise communication.

What did you find most impressive about this vendor?

We were most impressed by their effectiveness.

We did not come across any, excellent work! They came highly recommended and we will continue to recommend.

We compared offers side by side after being faced with the rising costs of mostly our health benefits.

Michael Roloson and PEO Focus came in and literally saved the day for my agency during benefit negotiations with our providers. Faced with ridiculously higher rising costs, my company had to do some shopping which also included multiple brokers before we met Mike.

Mike was not just the most consultative but clearly the most effective negotiation when the proposals were looked at side by side. Mike was able to streamline other services together that we were paying for including payroll, HR functions, and other costs to generate even more savings including tax advantage programs we weren't taking advantage of before.

If you are faced with having to shop corporate benefits, I'd recommend these guys first as it'll save you both time and money immediately.

Mike Roloson was our point guy for everything but he did have some other people involved in the negotiations in and out of PEO Focus. Mike is very well connected in the space.

Despite having high claims the prior year, Mike and PEO focus got us comparable to better plans at over 40% off, at least on the family side of the plan.

The team provided savings and ease compared to the competition.
