Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Opervex worked with us on the continued development and improvement of Elevate, our multi-tenant ERP/POS platform for wholesale and distribution businesses. The scope included improving the platform’s infrastructure, performance, stability, and security, while also developing and refining core business functionality across inventory, sales, purchasing, accounting, reporting, customer management, and order fulfillment. They also helped improve the platform’s architecture as we scaled to support multiple businesses and larger amounts of operational data. This included performance optimization, security improvements, workflow automation, automated testing, and resolving issues across interconnected modules without disrupting existing functionality. Another part of the engagement focused on introducing AI-assisted capabilities and improving our development and testing processes. Overall, the key deliverables were a more stable, secure, scalable, and production-ready ERP platform, along with continued development of features needed to support our customers and future growth.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We saw significant performance improvements across the platform. Several reports and screens that previously took around 12 seconds to load now load in under half a second. One of the biggest improvements was our A/R Aging Report, which went from taking nearly two minutes to load to approximately one second. These improvements made the system noticeably faster and more practical for our teams to use throughout daily operations.

2,300+ automated tests and CI now run on every change; zero downtime across the entire engagement on a live system with active customers

Full security audit completed: 59 findings remediated, and financial reports that silently under-counted on high-volume months now reconcile exactly

Opervex has been very responsive and easy to work with throughout the project. They organized the work into clear phases, communicated progress regularly, and delivered the agreed-upon items on time. What stood out most was their responsiveness when we identified an issue or needed to adjust a requirement. They took the time to understand the business impact before making changes, rather than simply implementing the quickest solution. They were also flexible as our priorities evolved and were able to address critical issues quickly without losing sight of the larger project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed us most was their ability to understand both the technical side of the platform and the business logic behind it. Elevate is a complex ERP with many interconnected modules, so a change in one area can easily affect inventory, accounting, reporting, sales, or other workflows. Opervex consistently looked at the bigger picture instead of treating each request as an isolated task. They were also willing to challenge an approach when they believed there was a better or safer way to accomplish the goal. That combination of technical depth, business understanding, and attention to long-term scalability really stood out to us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Opervex could have done differently?

Given the complexity of the platform, there were times when we would have benefited from more upfront documentation around certain technical changes and their impact across different modules. That said, communication improved as the project progressed, and they were always responsive when we needed clarification. Overall, there were no major issues with the engagement.
