BACKGROUND

I'm the operations manager at Athletic Treads, a specialty store offering high-quality athletic shoes, apparel, and accessories. We provide expert fitting and advice for runners and outdoor enthusiasts.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Novoid?

We hired Novoid to design and develop a Shopify site from scratch, connect Shopify POS Pro, and upload our entire inventory.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Novoid's main deliverables included product uploads, full website design and development, and integration with Shopify POS.

What is the team composition?

We only had to communicate with one person.

How did you come to work with Novoid?

We found them through a referral. We chose Novoid because they had proven experience in Shopify POS, online stores, and integrations.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent probably upwards of $25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from August 2023–January 2024. We still work with them for maintenance.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were told that it was impossible for Nike to approve a small store like ours to sell their products online. However, after we presented them with our website, they approved us to carry their brand. We rely purely on organic traffic, and we have consistently been getting sales with no investment in ads.

How did Novoid perform from a project management standpoint?

Our overall experience working with Novoid was excellent. They outlined the entire project from the start. It was a long and difficult project that took over six months, but Novoid delivered on time, and we were able to track the process in real time. The expectations were clear from the start.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I liked the transparency and accountability. The solutions Novoid provided were robust and scalable; there were no patches or messy workarounds.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have no complaints.
