We come up with the requirements. For example, we tell them the security aspect that needs to be updated and the challenges that are coming up. Our measurement of their work is if the job is done or not because that’s how we get paid. It’s a subscription model. We also analyze the feedback from managers and team leads, as well as from the client’s end. We’ve been happy with their work.

We have a good relationship with them. Even in this COVID situation, the team is supporting us really well. We’re happy with their work and the way they respond to us. The only thing is if we could get the resources on time, but I know that’s not something they can do. We’d like to keep this engagement going.

They built a new website from scratch, using WordPress for the CMS, and .NET for the backend development. The platform was built in PHP. The CMS manages all inquiries from the website.

It’s responsive and compatible with mobile devices. They developed the backend in a way that allows us to make updates whenever needed, and it’s connected to the payroll management system as well.

The scope was to build a website to showcase our product line . We wanted to have a straight forward eye catching sleek designs to attract our customers towards the products we are offering. We wanted to showcase the details and images of Human Hairs and wigs we are selling. A detailed picture with all the essential information was to be added together with the clear navigation to understand how to place the order for the product. I was told to use Wordpress and MySQL for the same and with my due diligence , it turned out that Yes Wordpress would be the best option for this kind of website.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Had increased sales once the website was launched , I was getting orders offline as well as through LinkedIn and other websites but it was tedious as I was not able to have all the products to be displayed at one place thus affecting sales . Once website was launched , we witnessed approx 12% increase in second quarter of our website launch.

It was seamless, we used project management tool Basecamp for effective communication and followed the same throughout the project development lifecycle . We had regular Skype calls and shared the progress and feedbacks over Basecamp. We had the access to the basecamp and was made aware about how to use the same for project management. We were able to Tag the developers directly over any feedback we wanted to add.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Able to deliver what was committed initially , I had built two other websites previously for my businesses but those were not as seamless as the one with Nine Hertz. I was not aware of the project management tools and their utility . Working with Nine Hertz was learning experience for me as well. Their communication and commitment to the deadlines is what will keep them top in my list of development teams.

During the trail period I look for competence of the team, speed of completion, number of bugs and customer service. The Nine Herts was second company I tried on my short list which it had about 10 companies. The first company was a disaster so I left them. The second company was The Nine Hertz. They performed very high on all levels.

I gave them different complicated small projects. They finished it on time, bug free, and with super good customer service. So after this result. I stopped moving down on my short list. And have been with them for the past two years. I am SUPER happy with them.

The goal was to build new categories, features and redesign the business model. So they did a great job building and finishing our new categories, fixed some of the bugs, and redesigned our complicated business model. The challenge with new categories was to built visually good looking but at the same time user friendly mobile apps.

We use native apps so their IOS and Android developers did a great job. For the business model, we have a subscription plan. They challenge was to built a business model that allowed us to create packages with flexible pricing and upload limits, prevent password sharing and device recognition system.

The experience was excellent. They basically created many mile stones to track the progress and they shared it with us. So we could track the progress and plan our development and budget as well. For us, competence, quality of work and dependability are very important. It is important that they understand and make suggestion to accomplish the project thinking long term. So NHZ did all that. For our projects, I can't say that there is at the moment. Because they are doing a great job for you to be successful in your business. This is very unique in this business. Most companies are concerned only for getting paid and moving on to the next project.

The most impressive thing about the company is their willingness to work however long it takes to finish the work on hand. As per my knowledge, the head office of Ninehertz is based in India with having offices in the USA, UAE, Singapore and other regions of the globe. But the development and design process is carried in India having an only sales department in other countries.

I would recommend them to bring their technical and developer teams to other countries for easy communication and face to face interaction with the team members.

I hired NineHertz to get an iPad application developed that will help the students to learn the working of logic gates. I already had a website which would help students learn how logic gates work, i could see the opportunity in developing an iPad application to address larger group of audience, the challenge at the starting stage was to find a reliable team who can build quality iPad application.

The end goal is to develop an interesting and engaging iPad application for students interested to learn logic gates.

Since I had the working website already, the project requirements were easy to understand, I wanted an IPad application that replicates the functions of my website, plus I added few more functionalities like Chat, sharing the project design, time table, leaderboard, and reports etc, my major requirement was that the design should be engaging and the app should be easy to use, Nine Hertz understood it well and presented an amazing flow for the iPad application, it was clean, simple and was addressing all of my requirements.

What was the team composition?

Nine Hertz allocated a project coordinator, 1 designer, 1 IPad developer, and 1 Tester to complete my project, all of them made a great team to accomplish the delivery as expected.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The major thing that I needed in the project was that it should be fun and engaging, the sounds and effects should support the idea of the project, Nine hertz did it well and when I showed the app to existing website users they really liked it.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication and understanding were super smooth, it should surprise you but we never had the voice call to discuss the project, everything was communicated through emails and understanding was smooth, I would give full points to the project coordinator in this, he understood well and executed as I envisioned.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their communication and the quality of their work was great. I felt free when the project co-coordinator was assigned to project, he understood the project well, and executed it with quality.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The areas of improvement are timeline, they took little more time than we expected but overall I am satisfied with the delay because they gave me a quality application.

The project was to develop a fitness app to reward users for getting fit. We implement our own step tracking system into the app and reward the users based on the number of steps taken.

The team was in a group of 4-5 members including designer and developers to help develop the app in both Android and iOS platform.

The outcome was satisfactory, though the app can be still improved and upgraded constantly.

It was a website to sell cars/bikes and accessories. All the customers can sell their car. There's also a feature to find restaurants and events in your region. Lastly, there's a place for a blog.

Arpit Gupta is our coordinator. He's an amazing person, reactive, and dynamic. We can contact him by night, as well. Again, they did great work.

The website isn’t finished, so we'll see the results in the coming weeks.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?       

Very good. Reactive, quick and professional. Arpit and the developers are always top-level!

The speed of the work and quality of the results.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Yes. The marketing team needs to explain more clearly all the costs of the website and all the small details.
