Their project management was very organized and reliable throughout the development of Bandlr. They consistently delivered milestones on time and kept the project moving forward according to the planned timeline. Communication was clear and proactive, which made it easy to track progress and address any issues early.

Whenever I had new requirements or changes, they responded quickly and were flexible in adapting the product accordingly. They were also good at explaining technical trade-offs and suggesting better approaches when needed. Overall, they were very responsive, collaborative, and dependable, which made the development process smooth and efficient.

Our goal was to build a crypto to fiat merchant payment portal without having to distract our own core development team.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The vendor quickly proved very knowledgable in the blockchain space and came up with a detailed, realistic and credible proposal without any lofty promises.

Since this was a side project and we did not want to distract our own team with it, the project was basically a sketch on a napkin, an idea for a concept without tech specs or defined workflows. MXI Coders were great in helping to hammer out the entire workflows, design the UI and select suitable tech stack. Impressive from start to end.

We communicated mainly with the director and founder but also with pm and other team members, i.e. the devs.

The gateway has been tested and works well. The team also provided detailed technical documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer when required. MXI also seem to be great with regards to support after delivery. They do not go silent after the project has officially ended.

Always quick responses mainly by email and Skype in this case.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed with their ability to quickly work out technical specs for something that only existed as an idea. You can really come to MXI with only an idea, a concept, and end up with a working product. I like that "from sketch on a napkin to live product" competence.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We are overall very happy. Nothing negative to remark on.

Mxicoders developed many web projects for us internally and for other customers. All the sites they built were for PHP, and the apps were based for Android. Each site had complicated features and functionalities.

I found Mxicoders a few years ago on Upwork. After getting in touch with them, a team member came to my office in New York. This gave me the confidence to continue dealing with them. They were here for a week where we went over all of the configurations and details.

Our engagement with Mxicoders began in December 2016.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The first project we started with their team was completed. Now, we’re on the third or fourth project. They’re continually developing and delivering, so we’re continuing the relationship. We didn’t do a fully-detailed overview with them, but we’ve found all of their work to be a success.

Mxicoders is full of excellent programmers. I’ve dealt with different developers for outsourcing projects in the past. Their team does exactly what we ask, continually updating and adding features for us. They can handle challenging projects. If a client wants a simple website, they can engage with any team of programmers, but Mxicoders tackles complicated features and platforms with great technical expertise.

How did Mxicoders perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management style is great. They’re based in India, but every once in a while, they’ll visit New York. Most of our business is done through Skype and email.

They’re excellent communicators, understanding exactly what I need and delivering work on time. There are some development teams where I have to explain things multiple times before they somewhat understand it. With this company, I can say a feature once, and they’ll do exactly what I want the first time. That saves a lot of time because if I don’t need to go back and forth with each option and task.

Mxicoders has an excellent management team. Communication is always there. Whenever I have an issue or problem, they’ll fix it immediately. It doesn’t take them a week to figure it out. Their team will only take a day to find a solution. They don’t spend a lot of time investigating. If something goes wrong, they’ll figure out what’s happening and fix it within 24 hours.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Along with their communication, I’m continually impressed with their understanding of each project we do. That is a big benefit. I also appreciate their timely delivery. If a programmer can’t deliver, then I’m wasting my time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t know if there are any areas they could improve. For me, I’ve been happy with Mxicoders.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you’re looking for a vendor with low pricing, Mxicoders is in the mid to high-end. But their team delivers and communicates. If you do business with them, you’ll find success whether it’s an app or website.

MXICODERS was hire to redesign, fix and recode elements of the website including the admin platform, homepage and other pages. They were also hired to introduce a price comparison functionality into the website and provide SEO for the price comparison pages. Lastly they were hire to automate the payment process for sponsored services on the website and to integrate some APIs.

What were your goals for this project?

The key goals of the projects were:

1. Improve the UI and UX of the overall website
2. Fix damage and faulty codes
3. Introduce a price comparison functionality to the website and build the business model around this functionality.
4. SEO the price comparison page to improve its crawlability.

I previously work with MXICODERs. They did a good job the last time so i rehired them.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Unfortunately the project was not completed by MXICODER which will lead to a delay in my startup launch and possibly the collapse of the startup in a whole.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project management lacked any form of leadership from the top. The project manager had little involvement in the project and the web developer seemed to assume the responsibility of the project manager. This lead to the project being delivered at a very slow pace. Google docs was use has the primary means of managing the scope of work.

They were no timelines or durations attached to task and i received to programme from them either. Therefore there was litte or no compliance deadline, and when i set these deadlines verbally they never adherned to them.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

In all honesty for this project, the only thing i found impressive was the quality of design work done by the designer assigned to the project. It was top notch work. They also went out of their way on some occassion to fix bad codes done by the previous web developers.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Their communication skills are very poor and they need to improve in this area. The company's CEO told me that his company doesn't do SEO work so he was not going to complete the SEO task for the price comparison page. This was contradicted by the fact that the company's direct provided me a quote for SEO work on the whole website, yet the company's CEO claimed they don't do SEO work.

Their website also communicates that they do SEO work yet their CEO took money for work that included SEO and refused to complete this work. There were also numerous occasions where the web developer/make shift project manager promised to do specific task then his boss refused to do the same tasks.

Their project management skills are very poor and they need to put a system in place to set deadlines for tasks. More importantly they need to issue a programme of work with deadlines for each task.

Their coding skills are questionable, there seems to be alot of rework in their coding. I was always picking up bugs in their coding, which they did fix. They took two weeks to design and integrate a single page and they only integrated that page after i complained numerous times.

The speed of delivery is extremely slow and this can be linked to their lack of a programme for works delivery. They lack initiative and constantly expected the work scope to be specified for them. The specification was supposed to be their jobs, and this should be done they review my scope of work. They did not do this at any time so there was numerous arguments about what was in scope and out of scope.

Within six months of launching and marketing the app, we had over 25,000 downloads. The Android app has an average 4.7-star review.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They reported on progress multiple times each week. We had different levels of collaboration during various phases of the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I appreciated their high level of technical proficiency. They generally communicated well and delivered tasks as requested and prioritized. 

Are there any areas for improvement?

Given our budget constraints, the quality of code and communication were great. We could have produced a higher quality product with more time and resources, but they executed our requirements efficiently.
