Having worked with the Moxie Institute before, we were eager to update our skill-building in public speaking and communications. They graciously collaborated with us to find the right fit for our needs. We had several types of individuals participating -- engineers, educators, administrative support, and marketers -- and they all stated that the results exceeded their expectations. We focused two two-hour sessions on preparation, delivery, and follow up, all of which was needed and helpful.

I could not be happier with how responsive and organized their team was. They coached me as the main POC every step of the way with clear expectation setting and the training went extremely smoothly. Shout out to our excellent and vibrant facilitator!

No, I don't think so, as this is our second great experience with them.

I’m the senior learning and development program manager for Proponent, an aerospace distributor.

What challenge were you trying to address with Moxie Institute?

We needed help crafting compelling stories to influence and impact our customers' decisions regarding their work with our organization.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Moxie Institute provided storytelling workshops for our sellers and other team members. The team taught us how to deliver memorable stories, connect with eye contact and body language, and use emphasis and pausing for effect. We also learned how to conduct an audience analysis and understand the science behind how an audience responds to a story to build stories that our particular audience can relate to.

We worked with around 10 teammates from Moxie Institute, including facilitators, Zoom producers, and our main contacts.

How did you come to work with Moxie Institute?

We found Moxie Institute through an online search. They were a great fit for our needs, culture, and approach to learning and development. Moreover, Susan (Director of Client Success) was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. We felt a sense of partnership working with Moxie Institute from the beginning.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together in December 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

After the workshops, participants were able to present themselves with more confidence and conduct more engaging customer visits. We received very positive feedback from them.

Moxie Institute did a great job with project management from beginning to end. We primarily communicated via Zoom and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

When we work with Moxie Institute, we know we're working with a partner, not just a vendor. I trust them.

I'm the senior manager of sales excellence at a global healthcare company specializing in diagnostic imaging. We offer contrast agents, medical devices, and advanced imaging solutions for cardiology and radiology across more than 110 markets worldwide.

What challenge were you trying to address with Moxie Institute?

We wished to upskill our customer-facing teams with presentation skills.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of work done?

We tasked Moxie Institute with giving our teams specific skills they could take into customer presentations, from calming nerves to audience engagement and powerful delivery. Most of our team members had some previous training in this area, but Moxie Institute took this to the next level for us.

The trainers focused on increasing the confidence of our teams to deliver content they already knew very well in a concise manner and keep the audience engaged throughout their presentations. Practice sessions were of particular value to our teams.

What is the team composition?

1–2 trainers per session, depending on the course we took with Moxie Institute.

How did you come to work with Moxie Institute?

We found Moxie Institute through an online search and a referral from a friend. We chose them over other options because of the good reviews from trusted sources.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our sessions began in 2023 and have continued to this day. All of our field-based teams will go through this particular training.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The feedback and boost in confidence in our teams have been outstanding. Specific individuals who always lamented larger presentation venues have repeatedly told us the skills learned in Speak with Moxie have broken down the walls of nerves and fear, encouraging them not to fear more formal presentations.

How did Moxie Institute perform from a project management standpoint?

Moxie Institute's project management has been absolutely 100%. We communicate via email with the team up to the day of training, then phone calls or texts with the trainer become the norm.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their willingness to customize the experience to our teams has been impressive. This was accomplished in pre-training meetings with not only the actual assigned trainers but also the directors of training in a joint virtual session. Meticulous notes were taken by all, and a solid recap check-in was given to me prior to the scheduled training events.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, Moxie Institute has hit it out of the park for us with the training we have received from them. Their model has worked very well, and we feel like we got what we were seeking.
