There were several stages in the development of the project:

The application uses only native development languages, namely Objective C and Java. The presence of outside sdk in the code does not exceed 15%

Five people from Mo-apps team worked with us on an ongoing basis: Designer, iOS developer, Android developer, Project Manager and QA

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The developers are reliable and experts in their domain. The code is of high quality.

The work on the project was divided into sprints. At the end of each sprint we could see the work done. PM has always been available on Telegram. Tracking of time and sprints was in Jira. The communication was daily and constructive.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We appreciated their understanding of our business processes and the needs of our customers.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I am completely satisfied with our cooperation and I don`t think that anything should be improved

I’m the deputy director of FTP, a custom logistics company located in Kyiv, Ukraine. We specialize in logistics customs clearance for air and ship transportation and warehousing.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with MoApps?

We needed an app for customer service where users could track their shipments.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

MoApps developed an app for our customers from scratch using Java and Objective C, available for Android and iOS. It’s a simple platform that also includes the airway bill, bill of lading, and other transportation documentation of their shipments. The system has a courier service for the convenience of our customers, and it also provides customs declaration closing from Europe to Ukraine. Additionally, it includes push notifications for tracking shipments.

MoApps completed the development in two months, and then we had a period for testing and making adjustments.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 5–7 people throughout the project, including a project manager, an iOS developer, an Android developer, a designer, and a couple of members of their team. 

How did you come to work with MoApps?

They were referred to us by a client.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $8,000 with them, including a guarantee period and some support after the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around March–September 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve had several downloads, and the app provides indirect promotion for us. Also, when we have to check for any problems with the communication between systems, MoApps corrects everything quickly for us if we have the need.

How did MoApps perform from a project management standpoint?

It was a quick project, but their project manager communicated with me a lot all along. In terms of communication, we used Telegram, email, phone calls, and we had in-person meetings for negotiation.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their transparency is outstanding; we have genuine open discussions because they wanted to understand what we wanted. We also appreciated their negotiation and their approach to the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Negotiate with them and monitor all stages of the project.

We wanted to create a new channel of receiving information for our students that can work 24/7. Together with Mo-apps we developed the AW radio mobile application for Android and iOS.

I am satisfied with the results. Everything was done on time. We tested every step and we got a great working product.

PM manages the project and we do not need to communicate directly with the developers. PM is in charge of setting tasks and reporting. While setting the task we were making phone calls, then all the spoken points were recorded in the technical tasks and carried out.

Fast bug fixing and new technologies implementation

I can't recommend any critical improvements
