This was a follow on from a successful initial engagement. We had an AWS based service that needed to access an external service that had stringent and difficult to manage security properties and apis.  The project was to develop a REST API that our production internal software could use to access the external service.  
This project included configuring a VPN to the external service and working with the provider of the service to debug the VPN connection, and manage the other details of accesssing the service. There were many details that were needed to get right that made access to the external service easy for our main software development team. Meyi Clould also had to deliver their work product integrated into our production environment and tool chain.

I am the owner of a marketing technology company focusing on vertical marketing channels.

For what projects/services did your company hire Meyi Cloud?

Meyi Cloud was recruited to design and build a serverless API marketing technology to manage my advertiser clients. This included a creating from scratch a UI Portal, a database, internal and external APIs all within the AWS Ecosystem.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I reviewed and had conversations with a number of AWS cloud consultants through upwork. I choose the Meyi cloud team because of their clear communication and the detailed walkthrough of what they were planning to do before executing.

The Meyi Cloud team provided me with a free consultation and laid our a blue print for how to build the product I was asking. They thoroughly review the project to confirm that they understood the assignment. I had meetings with the team 1-2x per week that helped me understand where they were in the process, which was my request.

From there, the senior developer and product manager were able to continue building in the direction needed to create a go to market. While building, the team was also confident to make recommendations whenever they saw an opportunity to improve the product.

We had an AWS Architect, project manager, and senior engineer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I have a working marketing technology that was built from scratch. This includes a UI with many tools, a functional API, and a database to manage incoming data.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their team was always available for a call and we had a constant communication in slack. It was nice to always know where we were in a given project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their experience in AWS really stood out to me. Communication and efficiency with development also had a bid advantage.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I would have liked a more detailed project/status log or to have used Jira to manage projects. However, we made due and this wasn't much of a set back.
