We needed help developing Matter over Thread firmware for our products.

Matterize Labs has been refining requirements, consulting on architectural decisions, developing software, and providing certification support. The team has delivered a detailed development plan, including timelines and budget, production-ready firmware, and a production flashing toolset.

We’ve worked with an unknown number of teammates from Matterize Labs.

How did you come to work with Matterize Labs?

We found Matterize Labs through an online search. We chose them because their pricing fit our budget, their company values aligned with ours, and they had the technical ability we needed.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Matterize Labs in June 2023, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Matterize Labs has met our requirements and delivered on time, with clear and responsive communication throughout. The team has helped us successfully undergo CSA certification testing for multiple products under tight deadlines.

How did Matterize Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

Matterize Labs' project management is great; they always deliver on time. We communicate via virtual meetings, email, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Matterize Labs' depth of subject matter understanding when it comes to constrained IoT firmware is impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Since this was a new development for us, we didn't have a lot of understanding of what the project entailed at the start. This isn't Matterize Labs' fault, but it would have been better if they could have helped us understand the project scope a bit more.
