Bringing in Market Buzz to help us with our online presence and marketing has been one of the best decisions we made last year. Mita who is our POC brings deep expertise and has completely changed the online 'sharing' culture of our team. 

From a company where few would ever post on LinkedIn, now we have an actively engaged team where a number of employees are actively sharing their work and achievements online. She is incredibly reliable and responsive, and is constantly encouraging our team to provide more content to help build our online presence. 

Mita has gone above and beyond, attending company events to record interviews with clients, reaching out to our suppliers for interviews and blog content and hosting training sessions on-site with our team. She even offered free 1-on-1 workshops with the team to help them with their personal online branding on LinkedIn. We have learned and gained so much more than we would have ever expected from her engagement with us!

I’m the CEO of Contractors.Direct. We’re an online tech platform that caters to interior design for commercial properties.

What challenge were you trying to address with Market Buzz International?

We brought on Market Buzz International for their public relations services. We’re a startup and needed to get the news out there as quickly, efficiently, and cost-effectively as possible.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They created two press releases. One was about the launch of the company, and the other was about the sale of my previous company. They also introduced me to potential investors and clients at no extra cost; they did it out of goodwill.

I gave them the framework and explained the benefits of the platform as well as the main message I wanted to get across. I shared the demographic or avatar character profiles of the people I needed to see the release. They ran with it and did all the rest.

I worked with two individuals.

How did you come to work with Market Buzz International?

I used to be in a networking group many years ago but never had the need for press release services. When the time came, I remembered Market Buzz International because our first impression, since it was a good one, lasted a lifetime. I wanted to make sure to reach out to them when we reached out to many agencies.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested about $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement lasted from October 2019–April 2020. We work on a project-by-project basis.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We had a relatively solid go-to-market strategy. Before Market Buzz International, we were generating 20 genuine inquires a week and receiving 1,000 visitors a week. After the press releases were published, we picked up a couple of international clients, which was great.

What’s more, contractors who had never heard of us, and vice versa, inquired how to get listed on our platform. We ended up subsidizing with the revenue from contractors — that was a very nice plus. One of the important features was in a publication called Construction Weekly. I was pleased that both press releases were published in there.

How did Market Buzz International perform from a project management standpoint?

They sent biweekly Excel spreadsheets about readership, viewers, the publications that picked up the press releases, and the other activities that they’ve been doing. We have an internal team member who handled project management with Market Buzz International. Communication was good, and the information was accurate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I never felt like I was a client, in a good way. The way they spoke and dealt with my team showed that they’re very much givers. They took the time to understand our product, how we make money, and who our audience is. In a matter of days, they introduced us to big firms and lined up a radio interview as well. None of that was charged, they just did it out of goodwill.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, my expectations were exceeded. I’d highly recommend them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Spend time with Market Buzz International. Instead of sending a Dropbox with a ton of information, sit down with them when they learn about your business. The more they learn about your business, you’ll be surprised at what you’ll get out of it. If they have you as a client, you will be well taken care of.

The quality is very good. They’re very committed. They give good advice and are proactive as well.

We communicate through email and WhatsApp. There are no issues when it comes to scheduling and meeting deadlines.

The commitment and quality of service and the quality of the reporting is the most impressive.

I would say just go for it. They are very professional and know the market very well. I would only advise selecting this provider.

I’m a partner at Anavizio Data Solutions & Technologies, a startup that was launched in Dubai in mid-2019. Our focus is on providing data analytic services in the marketing PR and communications industry.

What challenge were you trying to address with Market Buzz International?

We started hitting the market in late 2019 and by early 2020, we had gained some momentum. With COVID-19 and lockdown, it was a real hit for us. We wanted to raise our profile a little bit and needed help to do that.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Market Buzz International was a real help in terms of being a sounding board. As a group that knows what they’re doing and knows our industry well, they were a good resource to bounce ideas off of and make suggestions. 

We wanted to raise our profile a little bit and get into certain key trade presses and things like that. That’s something that they did quite a good job with. They helped us with a couple of press releases, as well as with promotional research to help get our name out there. They helped with one or two opinion pieces where we had a chance to write those interviews.

What is the team composition?

The great thing is they’re a small agency and you get the personal service. We were dealing with the head of the agency most of the time. She has a team around her to support. It was great to have our point of contact be someone with lots of experience and really knows what she’s doing.

How did you come to work with Market Buzz International?

I didn’t know too much about them, but I found them to be really incredible. I really like the personal service, the attention to detail, and the dedication of the team. It’s fun working with them.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost was $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from May-August 2020. Even though the contract had finished, there were still a couple things pending that we had discussed and promised they’d do for us. 

They kept working even beyond the end of the actual contract date. We’re now talking to them about doing a new agreement longer term. We look forward to working with them again.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The immediate measurement is the media exposure that we got. We wanted to be in a number of trade presses and publications. We wanted to get some social media posts out there as well, from their end and not just from our accounts. 

Beyond that, there are the intangibles in terms of having had that visibility or gained that visibility. We’ve seen more people come to our website. We have these things now we can point to when we go to meetings and can ask them if they saw our piece in a campaign release.

How did Market Buzz International perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was fantastic. We were the ones who were a little slow with things. They were always on time and delivered what they said they would. 

They managed us which is what a good agency should be doing. We were doing everything virtually on Zoom due to the current climate. We also used Microsoft Teams, email, and WhatsApp.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Market Buzz International knows the market really well. They know an awful lot of people. They’re really well connected.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, it’s been an all-around positive experience especially when I compare it to previous experiences dealing with some better known large global agencies. We’re hoping to continue working with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be yourself. Be open. We have a very casual, friendly relationship. It doesn’t feel like a typical, formal business relationship. You’ll have a great experience with them.
