What challenge were you trying to address with Mango Media?

I had an idea to develop a recruitment video to get new volunteers to provide medical services in their communities. We needed someone to make the video.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mango Media is producing our recruitment video, which will be two-and-a-half minutes long. I created the storyboard with oversight from them. The team provided us with a step-by-step shot list of each sequence. All the people who appeared in the video were volunteers, and Mango Media assisted us in ensuring they were in the correct age demographic. 

They walked us through every step of the shoot in advance multiple times and reviewed our input to make sure there were no surprises. The team filmed the ambulance service receiving a call, dispatch, and the volunteers attending the scene, treating patients, and interacting with ambulance staff. The purpose was to show the benefit of the services volunteers provide. 

We also asked Mango Media for still images to use in posters for marketing campaigns and recruitment drives. The team took these photographs, which will also serve as stock images. Currently, they’re in the final stages of editing the video.

I was given the name of media companies our organization had used in the past. Then, I searched Mango Media on Google and was impressed with their portfolio’s standards compared to the competition.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I played the footage during filming. Based on what I’ve seen and what my managers have seen, Mango Media’s work quality has outdone our expectations, to the point where we’re rethinking how to launch the video. We need a launching platform or an event to premier the material because it’s such high quality. Mango Media will be top of the list when our organization needs more work done.

How did Mango Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management has exceeded our expectations. They use Gantt charts for scheduling, and we communicate via WhatsApp, text messages, phone calls, and video calls. Whenever we ask for feedback, information, or changes, they work very quickly. The team wants to make sure I’m happy every step of the way. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed by Mango Media’s determination and drive. They’re highly motivated, and they immediately understood what kind of shoot we wanted. Additionally, the team has great attention to detail and is very easy to work with.

I’m the digital marketing executive of Sandymount Hotel, a four-star family-run hotel in Dublin. My role involves looking after all marketing, including online and offline, and working on brand awareness.

What challenge were you trying to address with Mango Media?

Our website content was outdated, and I wanted to create a video that we could use on the site, on social media, and even in ads.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mango Media offers us video production, editing, and color grading services. They’re producing a one-minute video for marketing purposes. First, I wrote the voiceover, sent it to them, and they made change suggestions. When the voiceover was ready, we had a shot-planning session; we went through the video step-by-step, planning each shot.

Although they offered to cast actors, my boss decided to use the hotel employees for authenticity. The team had one day of filming. However,  it was raining, so they returned for the drone shots another day. They shot many hotel interiors and set up different scenarios, such as customers getting drinks and bartenders preparing cocktails. They got a variety of footage with a two-camera setup. While Robbie (Creative Director) took close-up shots, Sean (Managing Director) got corporate-like footage so they could have a lot to choose from. 

Currently, Mango Media is in the editing stage. Although the final video will be one to one-and-a-half minutes long, we wanted a shorter, snappier version for our website. They offered to edit a 20-second loop of the video for the site so that users can click on it to access the longer version. They’ll do a completely different edit for our YouTube channel, which they also offered to make accessible, adding closed captions for people who are deaf. Additionally, they'll provide us with still images of what they filmed so that we can have new photos for the website. They’ll give us access to all the footage so that we can create our own 8–15-second ads.

What is the team composition?

We work with two people from Mango Media. Robbie is directing, and Sean is the cinematographer. 

How did you come to work with Mango Media?

I had a couple of different meetings with providers. I liked Mango Media’s website because they had quite a different style. Their work was personalized, and I wanted that emotional feel for our video. After meeting them, they came across as really self-assured, so I decided to hire them.

How much have you invested with them?

They charge €800 (approximately $900 USD) for a full day of filming, around €300 (approximately $300 USD) for the photos, and €500 (approximately $500 USD) for editing. Although they haven’t invoiced us yet, the project will cost around €1,800 (approximately $2,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Everyone here is quite happy with Mango Media. We really like their positive attitude and appreciate that they were willing to come back for an extra day for the drone footage, free of charge. The quality of their work is very good, and the team takes a personal interest in the video’s quality. They also have a very quick turnaround time. The still images they offered are convenient because getting someone in to take photos would be more expensive. 

Additionally, they were really patient on the day of filming and good at putting people at ease. I was there all day checking every shot, and they were very forthcoming with the footage. They were willing to change the shots if I didn’t like something, even though that’s Sean’s role. It’s nice to be involved — Mango Media listens to the client.

How did Mango Media perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed well in terms of project management. We slowed things down on our side because we weren’t sure what we wanted at first. Also, our managers kept trying to make changes to the voiceover, so it took us a month to finish it.

Mango Media is always responsive and available. We have a WhatsApp group they created so we could reach out to them quickly; someone always responds within a couple of hours. We also use Google Meet, where we meet once a week. I’ve checked in on the editing process, and they’ve been quick to communicate that the video is nearly finished.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Mango Media is willing to go the extra mile. For example, one of their teammates stepped up and acted when someone didn’t show up. The team is very friendly and forthcoming. I also appreciate that their rates are quite good; we’ve spent more for less in the past. 

The team is very passionate about what they do. They don’t tick boxes; they always find fresh and innovative solutions. They also adapt easily, and Robbie has an eye for detail. He made sure they got all the footage they could get instead of wanting to move on quickly. Working with a passionate company makes me feel like I can ask for the extra footage or additional things. Mango Media is very compliant, whereas other companies try to charge for everything. Mango Media is good at building a personal relationship with their clients while keeping it professional.

I can’t think of anything they need to improve; I enjoy working with them.

We were trying to create a video for our barrel-aged coffee in Irish whiskey barrels for brand awareness, marketing, and to post on our website and social media.

Mango Media did a 30-second video for us. We sent them off the products by post, and they created it, added music, and handled everything. We initially gave them the text, but they developed the storyboard and ran the creative side.

We won a competition. We met Mango Media about two years ago at an event; we had a stand there. They ran a competition for everyone who had a stand, and we were lucky enough to win,

We started working together in November 2021, and the project lasted about three weeks.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve sent the video to possible distributors, and the feedback has been great. It’s an excellent video, and it showcases the product really well. We didn’t give them much direction, but we were delighted with what they delivered — it was very creative.

Also, we’ve gotten many followers from it; it has increased brand awareness. We’ve posted it on LinkedIn and social media and sent it to Japan because we’re looking to distribute there.

They completely exceeded expectations. They delivered the project on time and within budget. We communicated through email and Zoom.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had Mango Media photograph our toothbrush products for one of our marketing campaigns and again for our formal website. In our most recent project, Mango Media produced four videos for our digital marketing campaign. Each of the videos was around 45 seconds to a minute long. 

Their team took care of casting the models, sourcing the voiceover artists, and organizing the location of the shoot. We didn’t have to do a thing on our end as they provided everything from pre- to postproduction.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have yet to launch three of the four videos that Mango Media produced for us, but from our point of view, they’ve captured our tone of voice perfectly. Compared to the other marketers that we’ve worked with in the past, this team has the ability to understand our brand on an intellectual level. Everything that they’ve made for us so far has been clean, smooth, and crisp. Their work requires little to no iterations as well; they’re able to meet and exceed our expectations at the very first submission.

Mango Media has performed excellently on this front. They’ve kept the entire process fun yet innovative. They’re imaginative, punctual, and really enthusiastic about their work. Partnering with them has been really cost-effective for us.

I’m the founder and CEO of Soothing Solutions Ltd., a manufacturer of biophysical products to help young children with sore throats and dry cough.

What challenge were you trying to address with Mango Media?

We needed some social media video content for our first product launch.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mango Media and our content creation team planned the timeline, style, team, type of shots and video footage we’d capture, and so on. They filmed for a whole day, and we took still shots from the videography material. Mango Media provided their own equipment and studios, and they handled the video editing and audio mixing.

Since our products are for children, we had four mothers and 14 children, myself, my co-founder, and the digital marketing team on the project. We staggered the sessions due to COVID-19, so they weren’t there altogether. At times, it was very chaotic because the children ranged from 2–11 years old. However, the crew’s personality shone through. They never got stressed, and they were always smiling — working with children didn’t phase them. On the contrary, their energy and enthusiasm kept everyone else’s energies up high, and we got some great footage thanks to them.

Last month, we needed to do a voiceover and edit the video, and they helped with that.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They went above and beyond the brief. We hired them for three days of post-production and a full day of filming, but they still check in with us to see if we need anything else from the footage. It was amazing to work with Mango Media; they gave us more than we asked for.

Overall, the video has accomplished what we hoped it would and more — it’s our launch content to introduce ourselves and our product to the world. We’ll launch the product until January, but we already had a test audience. Our target audience was mothers — all of them had huge smiles on their faces or actually cried with the video because it was so wonderful.

We also shared it with our distributor and pharmacy buyers. They stocked the products based on the videos because they thought we’d reach the target audience. Additionally, the video will be used for Facebook and Instagram, as well as on the websites of our pharmacy partners in Ireland. All in all, Mango Media has completely exceeded all of our hopes and expectations.

How did Mango Media perform from a project management standpoint?

They were brilliant and fantastic. We didn’t have anything to complain about. In the beginning, we declared a plan for the project, and they delivered as promised.

On the day of the video shoot, they had the calmest presence. We didn’t feel like we had a camera shoved in our faces. Mango Media’s team was laid back and relaxed with their direction; it was a real natural feel. Their energy was very positive, and it was really nice to work with all of them. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

I’d love to find fault with something, but I can’t. They were great at what they did.

Have direct communication with them. They’ll want to meet in advance to chat about your concept and vision for the result. They’ll also send you a list of shots if anything is missing. Overall, the team is flexible, even on the shoot day. If you think of something on the day, they’ll accommodate it. They’re brilliant.

I’m the director of a music publishing company based in Ireland. I’m also an artist and musician in the company.

Our original videographer canceled on us last minute, so we needed to hire someone else to produce a pair of videos for us: a music video and a promotional video. Both videos had to be shot from a live performance. We also wanted the first video to be high-energy, while the second one was more candid.

What was the scope of their involvement?

After explaining to them what we wanted to achieve for each video, Mango Media quickly started with the production process. They provided everything we needed in terms of equipment and all the other products we thought we would need. They even gave us a full breakdown of what they were going to bring.

Following that, they proceeded with the shooting, capturing all the visuals we needed efficiently. They did well in directing the talents and incorporating our requirements into the videos, especially with the addition of sound effects, background noises, filters, and certain special effects. It took them just 3–4 rounds of edits to complete each video — they were actually able to finish editing the music video the day after it was shot.

We’ve also already hired them to work on two other video projects, which heavily involve a lot of scriptwriting and storyboarding. We’re getting ready to start on this soon.

Their project management style is really good — in fact, it takes them no more than a day to apply edits and include our feedback. This is also one of the main reasons why I decided to work with them on other projects.

For communication, we have a WhatsApp group, wherein we share most of our feedback, ask questions, and make edit requests. We use email for payment transactions and other business-related concerns.

We’ve worked on film shoots with Mango Media. Initially, I provided a project brief to them, and then they came back to us with costing and solutions. From there, they guided us through the best ways to shoot the content we needed. The team also ensured that the content we were shooting was up to date in terms of social media content. For post-production, they made changes based on our requirements; the deliverable then went through many edits. 

So far, Mango Media has produced 6–7 videos of varying lengths — some of them are 15 seconds long, while others are 30 seconds long. They’ve also provided us suggestions around the production style we should use to make the videos look more polished and advanced. They’ve also used their own equipment to shoot the videos while recommending changes around video and audio mixing. 

At present, we have an ongoing project for a dealer conference. They’re producing content for our internal network, too.

Overall, they’ve gone above and beyond in terms of challenging us in a healthy way to reassess how we should produce our video content for social media. Now, we have high-quality social media content, thanks to Mango Media’s recommendations for shooting techniques and editing processes.

To communicate, we use emails, phone calls, and WhatsApp messages, and they’re always quick to respond. They’re easy to get in contact with, especially when we need to make any changes or updates. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Mango Media resources are highly personable. Other agencies give us a bread-and-butter type of package; they give us the standard service, and they do that for everyone else. 

By contrast, Mango Media looks at each of their customers uniquely. They assess their client’s needs and match their skills with those needs to produce something different from anything they’ve produced for anyone else. As a result, their competitors cannot produce anything near the quality of what Mango Media delivers. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. Any issue that comes up is solved so quickly that it becomes a non-issue; they’re always open to critique. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Know what you want, and Mango Media will be happy to listen to you. They’ll also be happy to give as much advice as possible. In short, the engagement will depend on what customer type you want to be. The team is flexible; they can be hands-on with your project or follow your instructions strictly. 

For context, I’ve been quite removed from some of our projects; I let them take creative leadership. Meanwhile, I’ve also been stringent on other projects; I know exactly what we want, and the Mango Media team adapts to it. Overall, engage them in what you believe is the best and most comfortable way.

I asked Mango Media to create a video for me that would help me show people what I do and the inspiration behind my artworks. I wanted it to look like a documentary video, where they feature me as an artist. I plan to post it on my website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I gave them a brief of what I wanted to achieve with the video, as well as suggestions around what I wanted to include. They understood everything straight away, and we proceeded with the work as a team.

We finalized the full program and scheduled a date for the video shoot. On the shoot date, they brought all the equipment and filmed me for the entire day in different locations, including the beach, library, and bookstore. They then sent me the best shots they took, which beautifully captured everything I wanted in a poetic manner. This actually gave me a difficult time choosing the best parts because there were so many great shots.

Mango Media also gave me suggestions along the way — in fact, they were able to find some music that totally resonated with me, and we ended up using it for the video.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I started a new company called Luna. We are developing technology for the shared e scooter market. Our technology helps keep scooters off the sidewalk/footpath and for ensure they are parked well.

For what projects/services did your company hire Mango Media, and what were your goals?

With any new technology product it can be hard to get across what it does and how it works in text or images, so we decided we needed to create a video.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I had met the team when they were filming at another event and was impressed with the way they worked, so was delighted to get an opportunity to do something together

We did a couple of sessions and calls with their team before we did any filming. We shot video over a number of different days and events and Mango produced the results into a few different shapes and sizes that we could use in different places like linkedin, twitter, etc..

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with Sean and Roberto and talked through the messages that i wanted to get out. They were really great and helped show me what was possible. They were really great to work with and never seemed stressed by some tight timelines

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It was fabulous to work with the team at Mango media.. I started off asking for a video, but they delivered beyond our expectations — the end result was a work of art.

We had a bunch of interconnected events and product launches with tight deadlines, so I asked them to communicate through email and whatsapp to keep things moving. It worked great
