Mandasa Technologies redesigned and developed a custom Shopify theme for our women’s fashion boutique, Boho Beach Hut. The project included website design, UX/UI improvements, custom Shopify development, mobile responsiveness, navigation optimization, collection and product page enhancements, and overall brand integration. Key deliverables included a modernized storefront, improved user experience, customized functionality, updated layouts, and a responsive design that better reflects our brand while improving the customer shopping experience across desktop and mobile devices.

All major project deliverables were completed successfully, and the final website met our expectations beyond!

As a Digital Product provider, my customers shouldn't be allowed to re-download a product they already purchased.  Mandasa Technologies added a Download Again button when a customer account indicated that an item had already been purchased.  The orginal request was for this button to direct the customer to their Order History page.  I later realized that, having been with Shopify for over 14 years, some of my customers had dozens and dozens of orders, and that redirect wasn't helpful.  I asked Mandasa to change the redirect to the specific order that the product came from.
They did this very quickly, and when I asked for an invoice, they said it was a simple fix and an invoice wasn't needed.

I highly recommend Mandasa Technologies to anyone who runs a Shopify Store!

The Download Again button works exactly as expected.  It no longer redirects customers to their overal Order History page, but instead redirects them to the specific order that has the download link they need.

I sell digital products, which cannot be purchased twice.  Shopify's main focus is on physical products, which stores would encourage customers to purchase multiple times.  I needed a way to block multiple purchases and direct my customers to their Order History to re-download a product they already purchased.

Mandasa added two new "Download Again" buttons to the Quick View and fixed a broken link in the Product view (visible only when a customer was logged in to their account and had previously purchased a product).  They tested the links and provided an unpublished Shopify Theme for me to view and publish when ready.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I was sent a link to the unpublished Shopify Theme.  I tested everything on my end to verify it all worked.  I then published that theme.

Mandasa was very fast, both in responding to my request (which I submitted on a Saturday) and in completing the work (which was completed by Monday evening - two days later).  Communication was fast, accurate, and clear.

I also wanted my website translated into different languages. The challenge was that I wanted to have a ‘language switcher’ on my site so that I could select the language. They also managed this perfectly. I also wanted to understand the whole process so that I could do it myself in the future and they didn't hesitate to send me instructions with an explanation. You can tell that the team has a lot of patience and is very responsive to your wishes. They also have no problem quickly understanding what customers want. Their understanding is great, no matter how you explain it, the team knows what is meant. I would like to thank the team for their really very good and fast work. 1. A slide show on the landing page similar to what they had done with an existing client
2. A clean, high-end look and feel that looked like a profesisonal website a corporation would have built versus a drag and drop home made site
3. The artwork had to be the central theme with the products on which they're printed secondary
4. The vibe was to echo the feel of a gallery with white background, a charcoal grey font versus black for the descriptors, with a brownish golden color for the headers to make it look rich
5. Six collections
6. A gallery page
7. Featured series pages so that I can manipulate what the buyers sees (e.g., be able to prioritize the high-cost products so they didnt get buried
8. Boutique messaging versus low end POD merch language
9. The ability for me to manage the text font & colors, as well as the collections after the project was done so I could have autonomy to make changes
10. I had a very specific way I wanted the Shopify store to be organized.
11. Subtle messaging through the use of announcement bar and icons at the bottom of the site page
12. Ensure that Shopify terms of use, privacy, refund policy were set up on the site properly and also in a way that I could edit them if needed.

1. I have not launched the site yet
2. The number of edits they made for me along the way far exceeding my expectations. They were extremely responsive

At first, the web designer did not understand what I was looking for and the communication was rough. So I designed the site using PowerPoint to communicate my ideas because it's the only tool I know. Once I got paired with Darshana, the developer, the experience was the phenomenal. She envisioned exactly what I wanted and was able to execute. When she was stuck, we'd get on a Whatsapp and Zoom combo call and I would clearly articulate my vision in PowerPoint. Darshana not only executed exactly what I wanted, but she also came up with ideas that had aesthetic value. She was extrememely resposive, she continued to make small tweaks as I reflected on our work and wanted changes, and she helped me become more autonomous to make changes. Darshana is the most valuable employee at the entire company and deserves a raise.

Darshana hands down. But before that Ankit sold me on signing the contract with them b/c Mandasa had done another website that embodied many of the characteristics that I wanted. I chose Mandasa mainly for this reason. No one else had a similar site that looked classy and professional. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Mandasa Technologies Inc could have done differently?

1. The web designer that was inserted betwen Ankit and Darshana was not useful at all. In fact, she wasted valuable money and time by trying to create ideas without listening to me. I was very frustrated because not only was she not getting my vision at all, but her ability to communicate with me in English was 10% of what I needed. I was getting increasingly more upset because every time I got on a call with it was a disaster. It wasn't until I created my site vision in PowerPoint and got paired with Darshana that things went exceptionally well. They need to take that person out of the process. 
2. Mandasa hard-coded random things like headings in certain places, or colors/fonts that were not editable. I asked them change that later which they did but I felt bad continuing to ask for these changes. We as Shopify site owners need the flexibility to change things. A website is a living entity and sometimes we see different ways of presenting our ideas after we've used the site for a while. Darshana and team were very responsive to all my requests and provided little tutorials for me to do things myself but we could have saved time if we had done less hard-coding from the start.
