We have developed a creative concept for presenting a new car model. We reached out to LikeXR for proof of concept. The LikeXR team developed a demo project, and the client was satisfied with it. Consequently, we started working on the actual project, which included developing an AR application and creating a highly detailed 3D model of the car (both interior and exterior).

We seamlessly integrated the 3D model with the real car so that when a smartphone was pointed at the actual vehicle, it could be customized according to the options available for that model (color, wheels, interior features, etc.). We also implemented integration between the application and the car dealership's CRM system, allowing customers to schedule test drives through the app.

• The project was extended for three months instead of the planned one month, indicating the client's satisfaction.

Regular meetings were conducted on a weekly and bi-weekly basis to ensure the development team comprehended the project requirements and that the stakeholders were content with the development's quality and advancement.

LikeXR team offered me an implementation method that perfectly suited our needs, and they were able to bring our ideas to life. Despite hearing from other teams that it was impossible and would take a long time, LikeXR completed the work within a short timeframe and exactly as we required.

Our Project Manager was not a native English speaker, but this did not interfere with Slack communication in any way. It's just that he sometimes expresses his thoughts in a funny way)

I’m the head of mobile at MEL Science, a science education company. We do different AR and VR lessons. Moreover, we also conduct some software and physical experiments.

LikeVR already developed one of our AR products. Under AR development, they conduct software development and create 3D models. Occasionally, we also do our 3D models ourselves. At present, the team already finished around eight AR lessons with different topics.

I’m the manager and we have a product designer on our side too. Most of the project management is done by our company but LikeVR also helps us with this. 

We communicate with them weekly. I like that they’re quite integrated into our team as we develop the products with them. They’re also involved in our meetings and so far there are no significant delays.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Sometimes we have to update some requirements and LikeVR is fine with it. Additionally, their code is fine and solid.

We’re satisfied with them.

What challenge were you trying to address with the vendor?

We needed assistance developing an AR app for presentation of the new car model, using augmented reality technology in the format of an immersive presentation based on object recognition. And also to implement voice recognition into the app.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Likevr implemented the whole project. They have recreated a 3d model of a car at a scale of 1k1 in a realistic level of graphics, and also, as a reflection from the car, added a 360 render of the sales salon, which allowed achieving the maximum level of realistic graphics.

Object Tracking was used to track the car, which made it possible to achieve an ideal overlay of a 3D model on a real car from any point of view.The application allows you to interact with the car:

• Change the external equipment of the car depending on the equipment
• Change car color
• Change car rims
• Open the trunk and put various items in it.
• Check out the exterior and equipment under the hood.

Turn on car headlights, which simulate real lighting, recognize objects in front of the light beam and partially turn off the beams. The application also collects statistics for each client:

• session time
• gender
• age
• marital status
• hobbies
• characteristics of the car that influence the purchase decision
• vehicle configuration in the application by configuration, color and wheels.

Our main point of contact was Сyrill (VP of sales), but we also worked closely with Yury (Project manager). We had at least nine persons consistently working on the project

We spoke to seven different companies before going with LikeVR. It was just fantastic right off the bat, there was a synergy between our companies.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The augmented reality app was used by about 600 visitors from the salon (65% - men), 200 of them left positive reviews. According to the salon, the conversion to the full scenario was about 90%.

How did the vendor perform from a project management standpoint?

The LikeVR team provided us with a clear project implementation schedule, the Project Manager provided a progress report every two weeks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

LikeVR's creative department offered solutions based on voice recognition technologies that our customer really liked, the level of realism of the 3D model surprised us, we did not suspect that such a level of realism could be achieved.

Everything went swimmingly. They gave us every tool to communicate with them and were always available to us. Everything came out perfect.

The project was developed with the help of WebAR. 3D models were developed and animated, a gamified scene was assembled. We were given graphic materials to print on the packaging of our products and promotional materials.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our project works, and works as we planned, our potential customers really use WEBAR and after the presentation, we can see it in the statistics that helps to collect the guys from LikeXR. Sales conversion from marketing campaign went from 3% to 8%! I am thrilled!

Like last time, the guys provided a Timeline, made a working chat in telegram, scheduled 3 reporting calls, 1 per week, everything was done on time and no problems. When I had questions, they were quick to answer, and they chewed up information I didn't understand.

• I really liked was the speed with which the guys accepted the request and came back with an offer, since we had a very limited time before the campaign strat.

The guys don't speak Portuguese even though they are in Portugal and I don't speak English very well, it would be great to hire a Portuguese speaking PM for further cooperation!

Extremely professional and working hard to accomodating our several requests. They were also providing excellent suggestions and solution to get the best possible outcome. We actually when back to the same company for a second project, which is currently underway.
