I am an IT Coordinator at one of the leading environmental service providers in Europe and North America with more than 3,500 employees at over 90 locations. The company bundles all competencies along the value chain under one roof, including waste disposal and sorting, processing and recycling.

Our system was collecting personal data our our employees and we wanted to know if these data are properly manage.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to be sure that all personal data collected by our systems are managed in GDPR compliant way not only from legal but also from technical perspective.

How did you select Lemlock?

We have looked them up via Google Search and selected them as not many service providers offer technical support in regards to GDPR compliance of the IT systems.

Lemlock performed the GDPR compliance audit of the web application interface. The personal data was identified and analysed in terms of GDPR principles and data privacy.

What was the team composition?

The audit was conducted by Bartlomiej Balcerek , Chief Security Officer at Lemlock in assistance with our employees.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As a result we received a report informing us about personal data that we are processing together with GDPR specific recommendations on how to manage it properly. The report was very detailed and recommendations clear and insightful.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We are very satisfied with the collaboration and although our internal security poilcy was very strict, Lemlock experts were flexible enough to adapt and make the collaboration smooth.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their’s expertiese in both the area of cybersecurity and technical GDPR. This knowledge is unique on the market and was priceless for us.

The communication and report was really detailed. We will continue our cooperation in the future.

Our goal was to have a reliable company conduct a security audit of all of our apps within a short timeframe.

Lemlock conducted a security audit of our web and mobile applications. We chose their black box security testing package, which consisted of multidirectional attacks. This approach allowed them to detect a greater amount of vulnerabilities.

Their team consisted of Bartłomiej (Chief Security Officer, Lemlock), who is an experienced auditor and penetration tester, as well as Marek (IT Security Engineer, Lemlock).

After completing the security audit, they provided a detailed report explaining all of the activities that they performed. It was a useful document that helped us make quick adjustments and improve our apps.

The security audit has been subjected to: configuration of already used, ready-made components as well as security of configuration and implementation of components created as part of the project. The audit aimed to determine the compliance of the tested infrastructure with the previously defined security requirements and to detect all vulnerabilities and weaknesses of the produced components. Static analysis of the configuration as well as dynamic tests of applications in the blackbox approach (eg fuzzing) were carried out.
