Our goal is a sleek, modern mobile app design that communicates the brand while staying true to the product's essence.

After we finalized the product requirements, we organized a kickoff meeting with League \ Design Agency. We discussed the project, our process, and the various deliverables. They gave us estimates to verify that we were on the same page about the project scope, then began work.

The design phase typically followed our internal process. This entailed wireframe designs for the native apps and a web-based admin portal, a UI concept and kit for the native apps, and a full-screen UI design performed on a sprint-by-sprint basis.

We discussed the revisions, and they provided the deliverables. In general, our team would them feedback, but our development team would often discuss solutions with them, too. It's been a cross-disciplinary, collaborative experience. While we've wrapped up most of the design work, they're still supporting our endeavors.

We've worked with two different project managers because of a handover halfway through the project. We communicate with them regularly and give them feedback on design deliverables. They communicate with the designer assigned to the project.

Most of the design work has wrapped up within the past month, but the project is ongoing.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The collaboration has been excellent. Most of our communication takes place over Slack, with occasional video calls to discuss more complex matters. After providing feedback, we see updates in a timely manner. If we have any inquiries, they're usually prompt to respond.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their work meets the highest standards of quality, leaving little to be desired. Their designs are beautiful and functional. They met our project goals, and our team and client received them well. Their professionalism, responsive communication, and prompt delivery are consistent.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We've experienced few issues during the project. The issues we have experienced came down to miscommunication, and we've resolved them quickly and collaboratively. There are always areas for improvement, but the process has been smooth and relatively painless.

We didn’t have an app before working with League \ Design, and now we have more than 600 users. The app itself is convenient in how it’s organized, as we desired.

The project manager and designer were extremely open-minded and were always online to listen to our feedback and requests. League \ Design offers a specific scheduling tool that allows both parties to work closely together and share their comments and questions with each other. By paying detailed attention to our questions, League \ Design delivered the exact result we wanted.

League Design always does their best to provide their clients with even more than was laid out in the initial scope.

League \ Design Agency built the UI/UX for our health coaching app. The gamified system uses algorithms to establish the user's health profile and recommend relevant information and programs to improve their well-being. The app mainly evaluates general health, nutritional habits, emotional health, and physical activity.

After completing the design work, the team moved onto brand strategy. We're currently collaborating on marketing and sales tools to help promote the application.

We worked with some of their young engineers, some specializing in the medical industry.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We're in the deployment phase, so it's a bit early to talk about strictly quantitative fiWiths. WIth that being said, we've experienced improvements in user engagement, retention rates, and inquiries via our commercial pipeline.

As a startup, the partnership League \ Design Agency was extremely valuable. Rather than hiring my own in-house team, I can work hand-in-hand with a team of design experts.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We work as simply as possible—discuss specifications, agree on a schedule, and determine milestones. We speak several times a day and share information via communication channels. They take the time to understand our requirements; it's key to their success. Despite the physical distance between us, I still feel like we're working side by side.

They're strong listeners with a lot of knowledge, which allows them to go beyond my requests and deliver great work. Autonomously proactive, they consistently work quickly and efficiently.

I’m the senior global product manager at Quazar LLC, an electronic security system support company. We collect data from Meta System S.p.A devices (vehicle tracking technology) from around the world and work with businesses to offer software solutions such as mobile and web apps and APIs.

We needed to add new requirements and functionalities—for both teams and clients—to an existing app, as well as upgrade its design with a new UI kit and style guide. We were also building a new app was based on the design of our existing web app, which is a commercial off-the-shelf solution.

What were your goals for this project?

Our plan for 2018 was to transform our solutions into products and to add new ones as well. We wanted to update one of our apps, which helps lot owners find vehicles with live tracking, to have the same interface as our web app. We also wanted to build a new mobile app for user security that helps people locate their vehicles and protect them against theft.

We put out a tender to 10 well-known Russian companies but chose League\Design because of their readiness to consider our legal, timeline, and cost interests. Every company offered time and materials procedure but they helped us fix down the cost of the UX, in terms of how many hours we needed.

The first step was to prepare our budget as we’d already discussed it deeply in the tender process and had provided them with the necessary documents to analyze. They created a new design and new features for our existing app including security, safety, and smart driving capabilities. This allows users to always be connected with their cars. In the end, they delivered the UX, UI kit icons, and style guidelines for both apps.

We worked with a manager, a designer, and a graphic designer, who helped with the icons.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The team showed incredibly professional skills in analytics, creativity, contract management, and time and budget control. We continued the initial cooperation and are now working on a web project. 

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The League\Design team was deeply involved in each step with weekly Skype calls, chat's, file sharing, and delivery. We received much more than we expected and found passion, responsibility, new ideas, and friendship.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We had no clue how to proceed with an outsourcing project concerning our main product, so we relied on League\Design’s professional team. They implemented changes with incredible speed, which was amazing, considering all the management support we needed. Their process efficiency was also great.

We work with four main people. Our project manager contols the workflow and communication. We have two main designers, one for the ERP and one for the new product. Our art director helps us reach the genius level.

The seasons highly impact our market. Summer and winter are historically poor for educational businesses. This summer, we have doubled last year's indicators. That's mostly because of their great, timely work.

They meticulously schedule communication so we can understand their workflow. However, we can always can talk to the project manager. There's never a problem making changes on time.

I'm impressed by the high quality of the designs. Their designers are involved in our business and its processes. They truly love what they do, and we're happy to work with them.

League Design Agency delivered the project with 98% accuracy on the planned budget, which was awesome. They delivered 30% more wireframe screens and workflows than initially planned and completed 95% of the project on schedule.

We received very positive feedback from users regarding the prototype. The color, design, and mascot choices were very much in line with customer expectations.
