 I'm the founder and director of In Reach Therapy, a medical company. We provide trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming speech and occupational therapy in homes and care centers using a unique social model of care.

What challenge were you trying to address with LatHire?

 We needed to source a virtual assistant for a full-time front office position for our therapy practice.

 LatHire was responsible for sourcing and HR management for the virtual assistant since the assistant would be their contractor.

 LatHire provided an interview with a virtual assistant who we found to be a good match.

How did LatHire perform from a project management standpoint?

 LatHire's communication wasn't good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

 There was nothing impressive about working with LatHire.

Are there any areas they could improve?

 We had a deeply disappointing experience with LatHire due to a lack of communication, structure, and professionalism throughout the onboarding process. After being matched with a virtual assistant, there was no communication or support from LatHire regarding what to expect next. We were surprised to find ourselves alone in the interview with the assistant. No representative from LatHire attended or reached out beforehand to explain the process or follow up afterward. We had to initiate every point of contact ourselves just to understand their procedures. When I finally managed to schedule a follow-up meeting (after multiple email exchanges), I received a late and incomplete Zoom invitation. The link arrived without a time, and even after clarification, it came so late that I entered the meeting halfway through. During that call, the representative excused the lack of communication by saying they'd had a "stressful day," which I found quite unprofessional. To make matters worse, the Zoom call was conducted from a free account and ended abruptly after 10 minutes. No one attempted to reconnect or continue the discussion. When I reached out to request a new link, I was told that LatHire wouldn't move forward with us due to what they described as "verbal harassment." That characterization was both inaccurate and inappropriate. The conversation was recorded and would easily show that I was expressing legitimate concerns about communication and accountability. In my experience, the LatHire team appeared young and inexperienced, with limited understanding of professional client relations. It's unfortunate because the virtual assistant candidate herself seemed promising. Until the company matures in its management approach and develops clear, professional communication systems, I would strongly caution others against working with LatHire.

LatHire was responsible for owning and managing our entire HR fucntion on an ongoing basis. the scope of work covered end to end HR operations including the creation of our employee handbook, compliance policies and HR documentation. They built and managed all onboarding and offboarding processes, handled employee relations, supported terminations, and managed payroll.

In addition LatHire set up and maintained our HR systems and ensured all systems worked together smoothly within a highly technical environment.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The biggest outcome was having a fully built and stable HR function in place without needing to hire an internal HR team. LatHire successfully took ownership of all HR operations, allowing our leadership team to stay focused on growth. Our onboarding payroll, compliance, and employee relations process ran smothly and consistently, even as we scaled quickly.

Stephanie in particular,took full ownership of the work and understood the urgency and complexity of our environment. She adapted quickly to our needs handled issues directly, and maintained a high level of accountability. Overall, all the workflow was efficient, organized, and dependable.
