We commissioned Lambda to produce a hero brand film for Solarport, a UK designer and manufacturer and installer of solar ground mount and carport mounting systems.

The scope covered the full production: creative development and pre-visualisation, multiple shoot days over several months including filming on site, and all post-production (edit, colour grade and sound).

Key deliverables were:

One hero film of 90 to 180 seconds

Two social cutdowns of 15 to 30 seconds each

A library of stills pulled from the footage across the shoot days 

Each deliverable went through two rounds of feedback and amends before the final picture-locked versions were signed off.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Lambda delivered the hero film and two social cutdowns to a very high standard, and the film is now the centrepiece of our presentations and shows. Since launch it has had many views across LinkedIn and at events. The response from customers, partners and our own team has been excellent, and it has given us a film we’re proud to put in front of anyone.

Lambda’s project management was professional from the first conversation. Communication was clear throughout: we were introduced to the people handling each stage, told what to expect and when, and given a clear process for feedback and amends. On shoot days the team always stayed on to go the extra mile and make sure the work was the best it could be. Everything was delivered on time, and whenever we raised a question or request they dealt with it quickly and without fuss. They are also very nice people, which made the whole project easy to manage from our side.

The creative thinking. Their ideas and vision for the film were inspired and original, second to none in my experience, and they had the craft to deliver on them to a very high standard. What makes them unusual is that the ambition comes with real graft: they always stayed on to go the extra mile until the work was the best it could be. They are also very nice people, and a pleasure to work with throughout filming.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Lambda Films could have done differently?

Nothing significant. The project ran smoothly from start to finish and we were very happy with both the process and the result.

We worked with Lambda Films to produce a 30–45 second live-action video for our client's Insights Marketing Transformation campaign. Their scope covered the full production process, including planning and logistics, actor sourcing, wardrobe, location sourcing, set creation, filming equipment and crew, as well as post-production.
They also provided creative input throughout, helping us bring the initial brief to life whilst making sure the final video was engaging, high quality and aligned with our client's brand. Lambda Films managed the production from start to finish, working closely with our team throughout the process.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Whilst we don't have specific performance metrics to share at this stage, the project was a real success from a delivery perspective. Lambda Films produced a fantastic final video that met the brief and captured our client's brand brilliantly.
The whole process was really smooth, with great communication, collaboration and creative input throughout. The end result was exactly what we were hoping for, and we were really pleased with both the quality of the work and the overall experience of working with the team.

The project management was excellent throughout. Ryan and the team were really organised, kept us updated at every stage and made the whole process incredibly straightforward. Communication was always clear and proactive, and they were really responsive whenever we had questions, feedback or needed to make changes.
They were also very accommodating and flexible, which made a big difference when managing the project on behalf of our client. Everything was delivered on time and to a really high standard. Overall, they were a pleasure to work with and made our lives much easier!

What stood out most was how easy they were to work with and the level of creativity they brought to the project. They really took the time to understand our brief and the client's brand, and came back with some brilliant ideas that helped bring everything to life.
They struck a great balance between bringing their own creative expertise and being genuinely collaborative, listening to our feedback and adapting where needed. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and they made the whole experience really enjoyable. Just a great team of people who clearly know their stuff!

Are there any areas for improvement or something Lambda Films could have done differently?

Nothing significant springs to mind, to be honest. We were really happy with the whole experience, from the initial conversations through to the final delivery. The team were always responsive, flexible and happy to take feedback on board, which made everything really straightforward. It's genuinely difficult to find any areas for improvement based on our experience, and we'd happily work with them again.

We were able to successfully launch our brand's website and app; the content Lambda produced for us was key to us showing up professionally in the market where trust is extremely important.

Lambda Films created a fun video from start to finish. They ensured that what we do as an organization came across in a modern and relatable way. We wanted to show our work in a quick video that was easy to showcase and understand. In the end, Lambda Films delivered a single video demonstrating our main projects, who we are, and what we do for students.

Lambda Films delivered a storyboard, conceptual idea, and finished video. We received positive feedback from students and other stakeholders. The video demonstrated what we do for students and conveyed who we are and what we’re about in a fun and succinct way.

Lambda Films’s project management was excellent. They delivered on time, communicated well, and were well managed. We communicated via in-person meetings and emails or messaging apps as and when needed.

We were impressed by Lambda Films’ personality and values. They are very fun to work with, and really are about what they work towards and who they work with.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lambda Films?

We needed AI video production services for one of our marketing campaigns involving TV screens and POS in a merchant customer branch. We required a partner with expertise in AI video production to deliver changes on a tight timeline.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lambda Films edited and amended a video we already had. We needed to update the video by replacing the actress with an AI avatar and making other edits, such as changing the music and subtitles. Lambda Films retained the CGI product components and handled all video editing and audio mixing using their in-house software and team.

I worked mainly with two people from Lambda Films: Ryan, their creative director, who managed the initial project scoping and discovery, and Darren, their editor, who handled the editing process and revisions.

How did you come to work with Lambda Films?

We found Lambda Films through a Google search for companies experienced in AI video production. After contacting a few businesses, Lambda Films responded the fastest and could take charge of the project quickly, which was essential for us.

We spent £5,000 on this one-off project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together in September 2025, and our project is complete. However, we will likely work on additional videos with Lambda Films.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The video produced by Lambda Films is being displayed on TV screens at our customers' premises, helping us raise brand awareness directly at the POS. The project met our needs for a quick turnaround and met our tight deadline.

How did Lambda Films perform from a project management standpoint?

Lambda Films demonstrated strong project management, meeting deadlines and staying on budget. They were excellent communicators throughout, and we primarily used Zoom, email, and phone calls to coordinate. There was no need for project management tools due to the project's size and scope.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Lambda Films' communication was particularly impressive; very clear and honest. The team proactively tried new things with AI video production and maintained a strong two-way dialogue throughout the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

For larger projects, using a project management system like Jira could be beneficial, but for this project, it wasn't necessary. Overall, I don't see many areas for improvement based on this experience.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend setting up a call with Lambda Films early on to discuss the project and determine if they fit. A direct conversation helps scope out the project correctly and ensures they can meet your needs.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lambda Films?

We needed to create an explainer video on the topic of sustainability.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lambda Films created an animated video for us. In fact, the project was quite straightforward. It included a voiceover, stock footage, and supers on screen. They proposed voiceover artists and a selection of stock footage clips. The team also tied everything together regarding the narrative, the flow of the video, and subtle animations. Moreover, Lambda Films added sound design and logos. We handled the project's scriptwriting ourselves.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 3–4 teammates from Lambda Films, including Ryan, the creative director and founder; Alex, the co-founder; and Darren, who is an editor.

How did you come to work with Lambda Films?

I discovered Lambda Films on Clutch and other similar websites. The team provided a very thorough, incredibly elaborate pitch for a previous project. They actually went above and beyond and even shared an animatic. We were impressed by the pitch, but someone else was better suited for the project.

However, the pitch left a strong, lasting impression on us. As a result, we were committed and enthusiastic about working with them on another opportunity. Finally, we contacted them this year after finding a suitable project to award them.

We worked with them during November 2024. The project timeline was two weeks.

Lambda Films delivered great quality output. The team quickly understood our brand guidelines and adhered to those requirements. The resulting video was published across digital channels, including most social media platforms, the web, and in person at an event. We were all impressed with the video and thought it was well put together with a professional touch.

How did Lambda Films perform from a project management standpoint?

Lambda Films was incredibly organized, accommodating, and flexible throughout this timeline. They were great from a project management standpoint, and the overall experience was a breeze.

Not to mention, they were explicit in their expectations and got through any question marks. The team was very receptive and accommodating to feedback while still adhering to the deadlines. Overall, we had a very smooth project experience given how short of a runway we had. It's worth mentioning that we communicated via email and Frame.io.

From a creative capabilities perspective, Lambda Films was well-established. The most important thing was the team themselves. They were very accommodating and enthusiastic about the project. The individuals working at Lambda Films leave a lasting impression and show true potential; that's why we wanted to work with them from the start. They did a terrific job.

We needed help producing a video for our president’s inauguration.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lambda Films helped us produce a video. Our organization had a rotating presidency, and each year, the president sends out a video of their theme and what they expect for the upcoming year. The video was 25 minutes long and included interviews, stock footage, and specific recordings of our units. Lambda Films' work also included video editing and audio mixing.

What was the team composition? 

We worked with 4–5 members of Lambda Films' team, including Alex (Commercial Director), a creative director, and a principal director.

How did you come to work with Lambda Films?

We found Lamba Films via Google, had a short call with them to see if they'd be interested in the project, and then sent out an RFT with a detailed description of what we were looking for. After that, we assessed their proposal and decided to work with them on this project.

We spent around £27,000 (approximately $34,000 USD) with them.

We worked together from July–November 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We published the video that Lambda Films created. We also had an inauguration event where we showed the video to a select group of members and key stakeholders for the organization, and they received it well. Additionally, we had good feedback on the online performance of the material.

Overall, Lambda Films' video quality exceeded our expectations, and the team was able to bring the style we wanted with quality imagery.

How did Lambda Films perform from a project management standpoint?

Lambda Films communicated well and was transparent with the budget management throughout the process. Regarding tools, we used phone calls and Microsoft Teams.

Alex deserves a shout-out because he took over our changing briefs and worked with us to manage expectations well while delivering upon complex requests.

Lambda Films was very polite and agreed with us a lot, but they could've just told us sometimes when our ideas wouldn't work.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lambda Films provided us with a wide variety of video production services, including creating concepts, brainstorming, preproduction, casting, and voice-over recording services. The team was also responsible for on-site video production, postproduction, and final editing. 

The videos were created for an end client and used internally. In the past two years, we’ve worked on about three videos with Lambda Films, each under 10 minutes. The main platform we used for reviewing edited versions of the video was Frame.io, and we shared documents via Google Drive.

We worked with Alex (Commercial Director), Ryan (Creative Director), and Hillary (Video Production Manager). We also worked with Darren and James (Video Editors).

I’m not sure how my company initially found Lambda Films because they were there before I came on board.

We worked together between January 2022–December 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We don’t have any hard metrics, but our clients have been very happy with the videos provided. Lambda Films supplies high-quality work, and they not only meet, but exceed our expectations.

How did Lambda Films perform from a project management standpoint?

They were great communicators, and we worked regularly with project managers. Our timelines were flexible, but they were always able to complete everything when we needed it. From a budget standpoint, we never had any issues with them either. We used phone and video calls for communication. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with their preproduction and overall production skills because they were highly capable. If there was something that they didn’t have, they had connections to find the right people. They were able to take care of everything that we needed, whether that was internally or externally.

There’s nothing we can come up with at this point.

Bring Lambda Films in early on in the engagement. We had a lot of great collaboration in the early development because they brought so much value. They are a true partner who will make the final product better.
