I'm the Head of Marketing at Keylite Roof Windows. We manufacture skylights and roof window products, serving builders, merchants, and stockists in the construction industry.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lambda Films?

We needed AI video production services for one of our marketing campaigns involving TV screens and POS in a merchant customer branch. We required a partner with expertise in AI video production to deliver changes on a tight timeline.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lambda Films edited and amended a video we already had. We needed to update the video by replacing the actress with an AI avatar and making other edits, such as changing the music and subtitles. Lambda Films retained the CGI product components and handled all video editing and audio mixing using their in-house software and team.

I worked mainly with two people from Lambda Films: Ryan, their creative director, who managed the initial project scoping and discovery, and Darren, their editor, who handled the editing process and revisions.

We found Lambda Films through a Google search for companies experienced in AI video production. After contacting a few businesses, Lambda Films responded the fastest and could take charge of the project quickly, which was essential for us.

We spent £5,000 on this one-off project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together in September 2025, and our project is complete. However, we will likely work on additional videos with Lambda Films.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The video produced by Lambda Films is being displayed on TV screens at our customers' premises, helping us raise brand awareness directly at the POS. The project met our needs for a quick turnaround and met our tight deadline.

How did Lambda Films perform from a project management standpoint?

Lambda Films demonstrated strong project management, meeting deadlines and staying on budget. They were excellent communicators throughout, and we primarily used Zoom, email, and phone calls to coordinate. There was no need for project management tools due to the project's size and scope.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Lambda Films' communication was particularly impressive; very clear and honest. The team proactively tried new things with AI video production and maintained a strong two-way dialogue throughout the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

For larger projects, using a project management system like Jira could be beneficial, but for this project, it wasn't necessary. Overall, I don't see many areas for improvement based on this experience.

I recommend setting up a call with Lambda Films early on to discuss the project and determine if they fit. A direct conversation helps scope out the project correctly and ensures they can meet your needs.

We needed to create an explainer video on the topic of sustainability.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lambda Films created an animated video for us. In fact, the project was quite straightforward. It included a voiceover, stock footage, and supers on screen. They proposed voiceover artists and a selection of stock footage clips. The team also tied everything together regarding the narrative, the flow of the video, and subtle animations. Moreover, Lambda Films added sound design and logos. We handled the project's scriptwriting ourselves.

We worked with 3–4 teammates from Lambda Films, including Ryan, the creative director and founder; Alex, the co-founder; and Darren, who is an editor.

How did you come to work with Lambda Films?

I discovered Lambda Films on Clutch and other similar websites. The team provided a very thorough, incredibly elaborate pitch for a previous project. They actually went above and beyond and even shared an animatic. We were impressed by the pitch, but someone else was better suited for the project.

However, the pitch left a strong, lasting impression on us. As a result, we were committed and enthusiastic about working with them on another opportunity. Finally, we contacted them this year after finding a suitable project to award them.

We worked with them during November 2024. The project timeline was two weeks.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Lambda Films delivered great quality output. The team quickly understood our brand guidelines and adhered to those requirements. The resulting video was published across digital channels, including most social media platforms, the web, and in person at an event. We were all impressed with the video and thought it was well put together with a professional touch.

How did Lambda Films perform from a project management standpoint?

Lambda Films was incredibly organized, accommodating, and flexible throughout this timeline. They were great from a project management standpoint, and the overall experience was a breeze.

Not to mention, they were explicit in their expectations and got through any question marks. The team was very receptive and accommodating to feedback while still adhering to the deadlines. Overall, we had a very smooth project experience given how short of a runway we had. It's worth mentioning that we communicated via email and Frame.io.

What did you find most impressive about them?

From a creative capabilities perspective, Lambda Films was well-established. The most important thing was the team themselves. They were very accommodating and enthusiastic about the project. The individuals working at Lambda Films leave a lasting impression and show true potential; that's why we wanted to work with them from the start. They did a terrific job.

We needed help producing a video for our president’s inauguration.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lambda Films helped us produce a video. Our organization had a rotating presidency, and each year, the president sends out a video of their theme and what they expect for the upcoming year. The video was 25 minutes long and included interviews, stock footage, and specific recordings of our units. Lambda Films' work also included video editing and audio mixing.

We worked with 4–5 members of Lambda Films' team, including Alex (Commercial Director), a creative director, and a principal director.

We found Lamba Films via Google, had a short call with them to see if they'd be interested in the project, and then sent out an RFT with a detailed description of what we were looking for. After that, we assessed their proposal and decided to work with them on this project.

We spent around £27,000 (approximately $34,000 USD) with them.

We worked together from July–November 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We published the video that Lambda Films created. We also had an inauguration event where we showed the video to a select group of members and key stakeholders for the organization, and they received it well. Additionally, we had good feedback on the online performance of the material.

Overall, Lambda Films' video quality exceeded our expectations, and the team was able to bring the style we wanted with quality imagery.

How did Lambda Films perform from a project management standpoint?

Lambda Films communicated well and was transparent with the budget management throughout the process. Regarding tools, we used phone calls and Microsoft Teams.

Alex deserves a shout-out because he took over our changing briefs and worked with us to manage expectations well while delivering upon complex requests.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Lambda Films' team was very approachable and took on feedback well; they tried to understand what we were looking for to deliver it technically and creatively.

Lambda Films was very polite and agreed with us a lot, but they could've just told us sometimes when our ideas wouldn't work.

Be honest, provide timely feedback, and share with them as much as you can so they can help you create the vision you're aiming for.

Lambda Films provided us with a wide variety of video production services, including creating concepts, brainstorming, preproduction, casting, and voice-over recording services. The team was also responsible for on-site video production, postproduction, and final editing. 

The videos were created for an end client and used internally. In the past two years, we’ve worked on about three videos with Lambda Films, each under 10 minutes. The main platform we used for reviewing edited versions of the video was Frame.io, and we shared documents via Google Drive.

We don’t have any hard metrics, but our clients have been very happy with the videos provided. Lambda Films supplies high-quality work, and they not only meet, but exceed our expectations.

They were great communicators, and we worked regularly with project managers. Our timelines were flexible, but they were always able to complete everything when we needed it. From a budget standpoint, we never had any issues with them either. We used phone and video calls for communication. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with their preproduction and overall production skills because they were highly capable. If there was something that they didn’t have, they had connections to find the right people. They were able to take care of everything that we needed, whether that was internally or externally.

There’s nothing we can come up with at this point.

Bring Lambda Films in early on in the engagement. We had a lot of great collaboration in the early development because they brought so much value. They are a true partner who will make the final product better.

We gave Lambda a brief to create an animated video that explained our university's location, transport links and key amenities and features. This video was to form part of a 'virtual tour' package but also to exist as a standalone piece of video content on YouTube and other platforms. We asked Lambda to work within our brand guidelines and to comply with accessibility and legal requirements. 

The tone of the video was to be more 'explainer' than 'promotional', and our target audience was prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students, both from the UK and overseas. Lambda worked from our draft to produce storyboards and a finished script. They recruited a voiceover artist and took us from keyframes to a finished animation that fully met our brief.

The finished video had recieved high levels of positive engagement online.

Their ideation process was thorough, and they then delivered to their deadlines and delivered high quality work without the need for multiple revisions. they responded to our comments quickly and effectively, with valuable creative input throughout.

We required a video which was no more than 1:30sec in length, with cut downs for use over various channels.

We have worked with Lambda Films on approximately 8 large-scale projects since 2017. These have varied in approach ranging from high-end internal training content, to promotional films, 3D animations and narrative-driven films. Each project has been unique in its approach and style, while remaining true to a visual tone that reflects well on our client. The key deliverables includes 2 promotional films for our tech client, 4 internal training films for our tech client, a 3D animation for our aerospace client and a series of comedic, short adverts for our tech client.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The main demonstration of success followed the delivery of the first internal training film; our client agreed to a further suite of films based on effectiveness, retained information by the viewer and overall views. As well as internal recognition from CEO & leadership on the quality of the output.

The Lambda Films team is highly communicative and detail oriented. They are happy to schedule regular meetings to ensure everyone is up to date on the projects, and they use a range of digital communication tools to help communicate across disciplines and teams. Furthermore, they are flexible when working with our international client across multiple timezones. We work with one or two contacts within Lambda to ensure every detail of the project is addressed, but we have the flexibility to work with their specialists on the finer detail of the shoot. 

Lambda integrate with our internal teams to deliver the best outcome for the project, whilst still allowing us to control and maintain the overall project and client relationship. Lambda always listens to our needs, and implements changes for the betterment of the project, but they’re not afraid to push back if they feel there is a better alternative. All projects have been delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The attention to detail, care and effort that goes into the project is the most impressive thing about Lambda. It could be easy to leave things until the shoot day, but the team spends the time ensuring everything runs smoothly during production.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Lambda Films could have done differently?

We work very collaboratively with Lambda Films and are always discussing and looking for ways to improve our work flow, we focus on being clear, kind whilst making projects an enjoyable experience for all and stand up teams and hold roles and responsibility sessions at the start of projects and retros after project are complete to identify where we can make improvement on further production, each time trying to better the outcome and the process.
