Afterward, they started working on our site’s SEO. They continue to help us with our digital marketing and PPC efforts. We don’t do much social media marketing anymore, but they did help us with LinkedIn marketing in the past.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our PPC campaigns have been hugely successful. Throughout the engagement, I’ve been either fully booked or close to being sold out. We always have a high occupancy rate.

Konstruct Digital does their job well. They’ve allowed us to overcome the seasonal nature of our business. We’ve seen a steady flow of prospective guests come from the team’s marketing efforts.

They score high in terms of communication and sticking to deadlines and budgets. We use email and Zoom to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re a great, proactive team — they’re totally on top of the project. Konstruct Digital always actively looks for ways to improve our website and marketing efforts. If something isn’t working, they quickly let us know and recommend changes.

We’ve had a long-term partnership with Konstruct Digital, and they’ve maintained the standard of communication throughout the years. Tryphena does a great job of translating technical terms to us — we feel like she truly understands our needs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing they could do better. If I have any problems, I can just call them up, and they’d immediately provide me with a solution.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Disclose everything they need for the project to succeed. Give them information on your business and your goals. Additionally, don’t be afraid to tell them whether or not they’re doing a good job. This level of honesty will help them do a great job.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen a 136% increase in SEO and organic traffic since they started. Paid through traffic has grown by 1,127% over a year, and clicks per product grew by 132%. Working with them has had a big effect on us — we now have too much work.

How did Konstruct Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a monthly meeting. Whenever I make a request, they usually answer within 20 minutes. Additionally, they always keep me up to date on everything that’s going on.

I’m impressed with their professionalism and customer service. They’re the first decent company I work with.

I can’t think of anything right now. We’ll see how the whole project turns out.

I’m the marketing project lead at Shane Homes Group of Companies. We’re a home builder and land developer company in Calgary, Alberta. We have three divisions — Shane Homes, focused on home building, Shane Communities, which focuses on land development, and Shane Multi-Family, which builds multi-family units like condos and townhomes.

What challenge were you trying to address with Konstruct Digital?

We weren’t ranking very well on Google, so we reached out to Konstruct Digital for help with our SEO and non-branded search terms.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Konstruct Digital is doing on- and off-site SEO for our three divisions — homebuilding, land development, and multifamily. We already had a website, but they’ve implemented new changes and recommendations.

At the beginning, the deliverables were clearly outlined, and they came back with their approach on how they implement all of their solutions. For implementation, we gave them access to our Google Analytics, as well as the backend of our website. They did most of the research, and then they approached it from a fresh perspective.

They’ve mostly done content changes, rather than structural ones. First, they scanned and went through our entire website, outlining where we had missing alt tags, broken backlinks, and 404s. We fixed those changes, and then they moved on to work on the current content SEO, keyword research and mapping, and some title and meta tags.

We’ve done the first phase with them, which is kind of the foundational setup. In May, we’re moving on to more of a content SEO strategy.

Although I often interact most often with two of them, there’s four people on our team — Amanda (Managing Partner), who is our partner strategist, Joel (Digital Marketing Consultant), who is the head of SEO, Kimberly (Digital Strategist), and Hannah (Content & Social Media Specialist), our SEO content strategist.

How did you come to work with Konstruct Digital?

We found them through a Google search and landed on their website. We were looking for SEO vendors, so we invited them to put a proposal together and present it to the Shane Homes team. There were a lot of conversations with Amanda; she’s very knowledgeable. Ultimately, we wanted to partner with them because their presentation was great and we had a lot of confidence in their abilities.

Up until now, we’ve spent between $20,000–$25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We reached out and talked to Amanda at the end of last year. Our partnership began in January 2021, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve provided us a dashboard with metrics. Compared to the same time period last year, from January–April 2021, our non-branded keyword searches went from 19.3% to 31.9%, which is what we wanted. That data is telling us that something’s working.

Then, on the dashboard as well, we can see the keywords that we’re going for, and we’ve started to rank well for those, so the results have been amazing. They’re really good, and we’re seeing success.

How did Konstruct Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re really organized. What I really like about Konstruct Digital is that they give us a report with three things they’ve accomplished and three things they’re working on at the start of every week. We have those check-in emails, and then we also have a check-in call every Thursday to just touch base on the project with Kim, our dedicated rep.

We typically communicate through emails, and then we have that one half-an-hour Zoom call every week.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re an extension of our team, and they’re just really great to work with. My in-house marketing team and I reach out to them, and they're willing to show us and answer questions, even beyond SEO.

I can’t really think of anything.

Respondent 2: We had built out a simple website for ourselves and had engaged in some basic digital marketing efforts. We retained their services to improve the look, feel, and function of our website while also improving and expanding our digital marketing campaigns.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Respondent 2: To start the engagement, we tasked them with updating our site’s home page. They came up with new concepts for the page that incorporated e-commerce best practices to help improve conversion rates. We worked with them to incorporate our ideas into their solution before they implemented it on our site. They also helped us set up Google search retargeting campaigns, delivering collateral and managing campaigns to help drive sales increases.

Respondent 1: Another project they helped us with more recently was preparing for our company’s appearance on Shark Tank. They created a landing page for the event as well as promotional graphics for us to share on social media. They also wrote and disseminated a press release for us. In addition, they made sure our website was ready for the increase in traffic that would result from the episode’s airing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Respondent 2: With how much is changing for our company, it’s hard to attribute any one metric to any one vendor. However, we attribute increases in site traffic, conversion rate, and sales through the site to their work.

Respondent 1: They’re really nice to work with and are receptive to feedback. They want to make sure the client is satisfied with the end result. They’re not afraid to go back multiple times to make sure they get everything right.

Respondent 2: We’ve been happy with the quality of the creative assets they’ve delivered as well as how they’ve managed our ad campaigns.

How did Konstruct Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Respondent 1: We mostly communicate via email and schedule monthly calls to check in. Depending on what projects we’re working on, we might schedule another call to make sure everyone’s on the same page about the schedule of deliverables. We have a shared Google Drive that we use for collaborative work.

Respondent 2: We don’t use any project management software, but our communication with them has been clear and effective.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Respondent 1: They’re never pushy and are always straightforward about how they can help us. I really feel like they’re a part of our team.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Respondent 1: Be clear about what your ideal project path is. We were too concerned with project costs at the start of our engagement, and I wonder what our work would have been like had we not limited them starting out.

Our organization is a publicly-traded software company that delivers solutions for construction companies. We’re one of many companies within our parent company. I’m the VP of sales and marketing.

Our challenge was related to marketing on our website. We needed content marketing, SEO, and website design services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They provided us with SEO optimization, blog content, web design, wireframes, and more. From soup to nuts, they handled all the content, framework, and strategy for content on our website. While they didn’t implement true structural site changes, they greatly expanded the amount of content we have on the site. They handled the design and framework of the site.

My colleague found them. They had very good referrals, so we asked them to share their portfolio of blogs and content with us. After vetting their work, we decided to hire them. They stood out from the other companies we considered.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everything from our optimization to landing pages to our rankings in keyword searches has improved. The volume of leads coming through our website has increased by about 40%. There’s tangible evidence of the quality of their work. They correct their work when corrections are required as well.   

How did Konstruct Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

We worked very closely in terms of feedback and still meet twice each week to review their work. In those meetings, we share our edits and thoughts to move the project forward. We’re constantly in-touch and vetting the quality of their work.

They always show up extremely organized. We got through a very focused agenda, and they never miss deadlines. We communicate via email, Zoom, and sharing information on Google Docs.

They’re very knowledgeable and have great writing capabilities. We appreciate their organization, intelligence, and focus on getting the job done.

They’re don't charge very much for their work and could charge more than they do, but it’s a competitive world.

Sign up with them because they’re a terrific team. They’re experts but will take your feedback when you offer it. Be engaged with their advice because they’re very good at what they do.

We don’t have the inhouse knowledge for digital campaigns, PPC campaigns, and SEO. We needed to bring our digital presence up a notch, so we were looking for a local company that we could meet with to reach our goals.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

 First, we were just looking for Google Ads and support with PPC campaigns. However, Konstruct Digital became an extension of our team. This ended up being really great for us because they also provide SEO consulting and support, and helped us through the rebranding processes.

Then they supported our PPC campaigns, Google Ads, display ads, and native ad. In conjunction with that, they wrote content for each ad.

They also tracked each campaign’s success through analytics, managing the ads to optimize them.

We met with three of them. We worked closely with Valerie and Amanda.

We are a global business with offices in London and Dubai, but working with vendors there can be difficult because we’re in Calgary and the time zone differences are substantial. We were searching for a local agency. They stood out because they’re a boutique agency and were able to be an extension of our team.

Once we set up the initial meeting, our personalities meshed well. We were able to talk about what we were looking for and they were able to provide solutions to those issues.

We started at the end of September 2019 and put our campaign on pause in March 2020 due to COVID-19. However, we’re working on a contract for 2020–2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Website traffic was a big indicator and we saw a big increase due to our PPC campaigns. Specific to our industry, we saw an increase in leads for an exhibition we were hosting. There was also a boost in attendee registration and admission submissions. Compared to last year, we saw success in increasing our digital presence.

How did Konstruct Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

They did a good job. Our marketing team is small but mighty; they were on top of deadlines and talked through relevant news and projects in our industry. We appreciated that they were on top of everything and thought ahead. We never had to chase them for anything. Rather, they followed up with us when needed. That helped us meet the deadlines we set at the beginning of the project. But also, it helped nurture that relationship between our two companies.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They really know what they’re doing. I know some companies talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. Konstruct Digital, on the other hand, delivered. I worked closely with the digital specialist and she was obviously very competent at her job, writing content, finding things that are relevant, and linking together two ideas together we haven’t thought of. She thought outside of the box and it really helped our digital campaign.

Have an open conversation at the beginning of the project. But also, I would encourage you to include Konstruct Digital as an extension of your team. With more information, the more beneficial the engagement will be. They will reciprocate your efforts.

After exclusively managing SEO initiatives, their team recommended that rebuild my website to further improve my rankings. They then revamped my entire website. Since starting to work with Konstruct, I’ve experienced 300% growth in organic traffic and 140% improvement in conversion rates. I noticed growth in traffic and rankings prior to the new website’s launch. Following its launch, I saw even greater improvements. Their team created a beautiful website.

Their team’s excellent. They quickly complete tasks and clearly state timelines. In terms of online billing, it’s easy. They send an invoice that I pay online.

They’re a smaller team that’s local to my area, and I personally appreciate those qualities. I feel just as valued and prioritized as much as a company with a huge budget by Konstruct. They’re enthusiastic and passionate about their work.

Honestly, at this point, nothing comes to mind. They’re growing, and I hope that they maintain their small business feel.

Talk to them about your needs and budget. Konstruct’s open to providing suggestions and feedback. If you don’t want to move in those directions, they’re more than happy to meet you where you are. For example, their team was willing to exclusively continue their SEO initiatives. However, they provided a good rationale for why it would be worthwhile to revamp my website.

We brought on Konstruct when we started our franchise system. We needed a proper digital presence. We tried to build one ourselves but weren’t skilled enough to be effective.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Konstruct redesigned and redeveloped our website in accordance with our marketing materials. They expanded on all of our different services and built the website to be scalable for our franchise system. Their team ensured the site was searchable and easy to use.

Later, Konstruct managed a whole PR campaign related to our appearance on Dragon’s Den. They reached out to different media outlets and used social media to make sure that everyone knew the details for our appearance.

When we started with Konstruct, we made $1.1 million in revenue. In 2019, we had a $4.5 million run. This year, we’re expecting to hit $7 million in revenue.

We’ve seen a 700% growth in organic traffic and a 200% growth in keywords. We also gained significantly more followers on social media as a result of their work. They attained first search results listings for all of our franchises.

We use G Suite to share files and typically communicate via email. They’ve done a tremendous job. Their team takes charge and cares about maximizing our exposure. They’re amenable, so it’s easy to work with them. I’m happy to have them in my corner.

They genuinely care about how people feel about our company. Their team captured the heart of our organization and portrayed that in our website design and social media posts.

I’ve been happy with them. We collaborate on an annual strategic plan, but that should probably be done quarterly.

We are a government approved, fully licensed and insured Alberta training facility that provides both Driver Training & Motorcycle Training courses in Calgary. I am the Office Manager.

Our first office was located in a business centre. We felt that we wanted to use other businesses within that centre. Konstruct was one of the business.
