I am the owner of an online concept store for children, which offers modern, eco-friendly, sustainable children's products.

For what projects/services did your company hire K&J Translations, and what were your goals?

We use K&J Translations services mainly to translate product manuals and product descriptions. Our main objective is always to deliver good product descriptions to our customers, as that is the only way to adequately present the products we sell.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found them on Google and mainly selected them because of their neat, nice-looking webpage. When we sent our inquiry through their online form, they replied almost immediately with their offer. We can say that good communication was one of the most important factors why we chose K&J Translations.

They translated two manuals for strollers from Romanian to Bosnian language for us. Also they translated the majority of our product descriptions from English/Slovenian to Bosnian language. The first batch of product descriptions was shared via their contact form on their website with us and later on via email. For manuals, we used WeTransfer, as they were too big to share via email. All in all, as a company we usually use those platforms, so it was really convenient for us to use the platforms we already know.

What was their cost structure like?

They set their cost based on the number of words and language combinations. What we liked the most is that they took into consideration repetitions (we got a discount for that) and they also offered a quantity discount.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Their translation enabled us to deliver good product descriptions on our website. The translation was accurate, without mistakes, which makes our brand look good in the eyes of the customer.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We can say that we were amazed by the speed of their communication. It was really visible that they have a good structure as a company, and I also like that we got our project manager, who is always the same and responsible for translations for our company. That makes it much easier for us, because that specific project manager knows our company, needs and deadline flexibility.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We have worked with two translation companies so far, and we are really satisfied with K&J Translations' work.

Our cooperation is streamlined, the whole process is simple, and if we have any special requests (like changes to the translated file or the original text) they always implement them

Some of my clients need translations, and the majority of them need certified translations. We have our own translators on occasion, but we mainly outsource it to K&J.

They were recommended to me by my firm, which has been using them for a long time.

Normally, I email a copy of the document that needs to be translated to Arista, a colleague over there (Project Manager). She provides me with a quote as well as a delivery time estimate. I then get the client's consent and give her the green light. In addition to certified translations, they also offer editing and proofreading services, but I primarily use them for translations. It's been English and German translations recently.
