Our google merchant centre account was suspended by google for no specific reason and only a vague reason was given which could have been one little thing, or a hundred different. After multiple attempts of trying to fix this in-house with no success we reached out to the keycommerce team. Very quickly were we in a google meet to discuss further steps. After payment within a few days a full audit of the site was complete with recommendations of what to improve on. After making improvements over the next two weeks our website was looking much cleaner, better and more within googles recommendations. They also contacted google on our behalf and within 3 weeks our suspension was lifted and our ads were running again. There was close communication throught the service and i was very pleased with the professionalism and speedy work of the keycommerce staff. I look forward to what the future holds for us as we will continue working with them to improve our ad services.

I was suspended with Google Merchant Center and Google Ads. After I had exhausted the allowed attempts on my own (Google only allows 3 before you're banned), I hired Key Commerce to help me get this resolved. They audited my site and GMC account, and produced a list of items that needed to be updated/corrected in order to be in complience with GMC's policies. 

Diego then guided me through the audit, and made any changes on my behalf that I asked him to. When the updates were complete, Diego contacted GMC and Google Ads directly (I had been getting no response on my own, prior to hiring Key Commerce) to request another review. Google reviewed my site and determined it is now in complience.

When summer has now come around and demand is lower, we discuss the goals and focus on just the profitable campaigns and stop testing to maintain profitability

Honestly, I have a hard time finding any area for improvement, at least from my perspective. The only thing would be that we've gotten account ad managers switched twice - but I get that the PPC industry is fast paced - and the quality of service has been maintained so it doesn't really matter.

We hired KeyCommerce to run our Google advertising campaigns.

What was the scope of their involvement?

KeyCommerce operates all of our campaigns on Google Ads. We’ve gone through their onboarding process, where we outlined our business goals and budget to develop an ad plan. Whenever there are new features, KeyCommerce’s team walks me through them after they’re determined to be suitable for our business. We’re always looking for new advertising methods to increase our ROI. 

What is the team composition?

I work directly with Datch (Director of Operations), but four other teammates are involved in our project.  

How did you come to work with KeyCommerce?

I found KeyCommerce through YouTube videos they’d posted about Google advertising. It was clear their team was knowledgeable — Datch had over 15 years of experience in Google advertising and listened to our brand explanation. Plus, KeyCommerce’s owner is also from Australia.

How much have you invested with them?

We invest around $2,350 AUD (approximately $1,700 USD) a month with KeyCommerce a month, plus an additional $60,000 AUD (approximately $45,000 USD) in ad spending. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement with KeyCommerce began in April 2021, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I’ve worked with several agencies before, and KeyCommerce cares more about their accounts than any other firm. They invest time in our project to ensure we get positive results. While it did take 4–5 months for our ads to generate significant revenue, at this point, about 40% of our revenue comes from Google. 

Our ROI is around 3.2% — we’ve received $161,000 AUD (approximately $119,000 USD) in revenue from KeyCommerce’s ad efforts for the $60,000 AUD (approximately $45,000 USD) we’ve invested. For the last three months, our ad revenue has been three times as much as our ad spend. 

How did KeyCommerce perform from a project management standpoint?

During the first six months of the project, we had weekly meetings to discuss the project results and what was working. Now, we have monthly virtual meetings to walk through the accounts and determine which ads are and aren’t working. Since there is a time difference between our firms, we schedule meetings accordingly. Datch is always available to discuss the project — he goes above and beyond to deliver for us. We also use Slack to communicate. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

KeyCommerce listens and cares about our brand — Datch is very knowledgeable and makes a lot of manual adjustments to our ads until he’s happy with the results. Their team sees our business’ success as their own. KeyCommerce cares a lot about our partnership — we’ve had financial difficulties before, but KeyCommerce stepped up and offered an 80% discount on their monthly fees for two months so we could continue our partnership. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Currently, there is nothing to improve. However, we had a very slow first few months of the project, where we didn’t have a positive ROI. During those months, we had some miscommunications, but KeyCommerce has since improved.

I’d advise customers to have clear goals about what they want to achieve with KeyCommerce — it can be anything from brand awareness to revenue.
