We selected two client locations for the video to be shot in. The two locations had to be scheduled on different days. Lisa Maria Hall the Producer / Project Manager and the videographer arrived on time and with all of the necessary equipment to run the shoot.

They introsuced themselves to our cleints and immediately made them feel at ease. This was a very critical step in the process and made me feel very good about what was about to happen. I've seen numerous promotional videos where the person being interviewed is extremely nervous and not at ease, which does not come across as well as if the person is cool calm and collected.

They checked the location for light and sound before setting up the areas for the shoot and prepared the area very quickly. The interview process went well and with very few re-takes as the people being interviewed were really comfortable. We were in and out much quicker than I expected.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

We provided Lisa Maria Hall the Producer / Project Manager with a list of questions that she would ask each person. Lisa made the people very comforable and so the answers came across very naturally most of the time in the first take. Withon a few days we received the first draft of the vidoe and were immediately impressed with the quality of the audio and video. Back and forth editing process was very easy and the turnaround of each edit was very fast. After the5th edit we arrived at the finished product.

Within one day of sending the video to a prospective client we signed a deal with them for two markets we had not seen any success in prior to them seeing the video

We met them at a conference last year and they completed 3 training videos for our company with much success. It was a no brainer going with them again!

It started with scriptwriting and many edits and changes to the original script. Then the production of on-site filming as well as editing of the video.

There were 2 people involved in writing the script and one videographer on site. Then another 1 or 2 edited the script.

We explained what we needed the video for, how it would be positioned in our marketing strategy, booked and scheduled time to get stakeholders in to record them, also sent video and pics we had in house, they edited and created a rough draft, we revised it and sent it back with our approval and the process was complete.

they recorded video, got raw footage, received broll video, then put it together as a draft for our review, we reviewed gave our thumbs up and the process was complete

We have been able to garner the interest of a few larger companies that are thinking of investing in the organization.

The turn around time and the creative elements (i.e. the faces that were put in the logo to show the team aspect of our organization was creativity we weren't expecting)

Key West Video has requested our services a number of times in the past, and since we know they do great work, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to have them work with us this time.

They provided a videographer for the shooting itself, and an editor for the post-production work.

Within weeks of completion, our client had successfully sold all of the homes through their presentation centre.

While our client had a number of revisals that were periodically sent to us, Key West's editor was very quick to respond and assist with all of our client's requests in a timely fashion.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have extensive knowledge about video post-production and can make changes to work very quickly.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Everything can always be done faster, but we were very satisfied with their efforts every step of the way. Ultimately we wanted quality and not an unorganized and rushed product, so we were very happy with what we got.

I've worked with Keywest at a previous company. I've always found them to be very professional life-savers. They have a knack for interviewing people they've never met before. They were in our office for half a day and managed to pull together a series of videos that truly captured who we are.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The feedback from the team was great. It's rare to meet a vendor capable of capturing and telling our story well. Engagement on our LinkedIn page went up 400%+ during this particular campaign. We've been asked to have our video featured on other channels as well.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Simple communication, emails were answered quickly and the videos were delivered on schedule. They got the venue before I did!

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was blown away by Keywest's quality of work. They're a talented bunch, I've worked with them large projects previously. They put their all into every project, no matter how small.

Are there any areas for improvement?

This is a small thing but we learned a lot on the day of the shoot --I would've loved to get that guidance ahead of time to help make the day run more smoothly.

In 2019 we were launching a community initiative featuring organizations that were having a positive impact on the communities in which they live and work. We wanted to share their inspiring stories and capture the photos and short videos of a representative of the organizations that would be featured on our website. Our first community was PEI. We did not have the internal capabilities to produce this type of video or to capture the type of photography that we wanted for our website. This required someone to travel to each organizations to take unique and engaging photography.

What were your goals for this project?

For select organizations, we wanted a short video (2-3 minutes) that would capture their story, as well as capturing insights from other organizations (30-60 second video).

How did you select this vendor?

The firm has used Key West Video for much of its video requirements. They were able to provide what we required within our timeline and budget and are always great to work with. They have worked on related community-focused initiatives and this was a good fit.

We had identified community organizations that we wanted to feature in the long video format (2-3 minutes).  We provided Key West with a creative brief that outlined our objectives for the video, the story we wanted to tell and the types of interview quesitons we wanted asked. Our goal was to capture the video at the community organization's site. We outlined the expectations for community organizations for their video and photo shoot. Key West visisted each site to capture interviews and B-roll.

Key West was also invovled in photo shoots for additional community organizations and was able to capture footage around 1-2 key questions that could be used in short video insights online. Further they attended our live community event to capture video to create a short video of the celebration of those community organizations to be share internally and externally.

The vedor provided regular and consistent feedback on the process and timing. Videos were drafted and shared, allowing feedback for finalizng. Multiple images were provided, allowing for final selection.

We have successfully launched our website featuring the community organizations. The photography is engaging and captivating. The video's effectively capture the stories of these community organizations. The images are impactful in helping drive social media to view the website.

Projects with Key West run smoothly and there is consistent and valued feedback and interaction with the team.

The team is always responsive. They provide positive ideas and feedback. They act professionally and are always effective in engaging those they are filming or taking photos with.

I have worked with Key West many times over the past eight years and always call them first when we're looking to create new videos.

The project involved creating 10 videos, from across the country, and for each video, Key West interviewed between 3-4 people, created some amazing B-roll of the various locations and cut it all together into 10, 2-3 minute highly engaging videos.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

For this project, an editor and project manager was assigned to help schedule the interviews, keep the videos on track, take a first edit and then work with us on any remaining edits. Having one contact person is highly helpful when you're trying to juggle many different schedules and videos.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The videos turned out fantastic, and we had great feedback from both our retiring Partners, and others who attended the event where the videos were shown. Key West has worked on this project for us for many years and each year, they come with new ideas to help keep the videos fresh.

The workflow was very effective. I love working with Stuart and his team. They're always friendly, very responsive and make sure they're clear on what we're trying to achieve at the beginning of the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Having worked with many vendors over the years, there are many things I find impressive about Key West. They're extremely reliable and I trust them completely. I've worked with them on many, many projects and they've always met our deadlines and come in on budget. They never take our relationship for granted, and are always coming to the table with new creative ideas.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Honestly, I've always been very happy with them and their work, but I know if there ever was an issue that I would be able to bring it up and they would resolve it right away.

We wanted a stronger online presence because what we had wasn’t enough. We wanted to add a video component to it.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Key West Video Inc. helps with video production. When we have events, they come in and do event videos to recap the day, which we use as a part of our advertising. They’ve shot 10 of our events. The second component of their work has been our vlog series, which they’re now working on finalizing.

We’ve worked with a couple of their shooters and a couple of their administrative teammates.

We found them at a tradeshow. We picked them because we watched a video that they produced and it was on point. Additionally, their pricing is good.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement began in February 2017 and we’re still working with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’ve referred other businesses to them as well, and people like their work. Key West Video Inc. is easy to work with and the price point for their work is phenomenal.

I can get a video for maybe $2,500 while other video providers quote me $25,000 for the same work. There isn’t anyone there like them. They’re not a cheap firm but for their value, they do good work.

How did Key West Video Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

I like their project management style. They have a large backlog because they’re popular. Their communication is good and on point, and they always tell me the timeline. The team had also been very helpful with planning and advice. 

The whole collaboration has been pretty flawless. We know when we’re supposed to be doing what, so it’s been a very pleasant experience. We communicate in-person and online, and they always give us clear instructions. When we do our vlogs, they always look over our script.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re willing to help. Other providers that I worked with in the past would charge me per iteration after two iterations. Key West Video Inc. wants to make sure that we get the work done and that I’m satisfied.

They never complain about too many iterations or that the feedback is irrelevant. I’m not very natural on camera so even when I went to do my vlog twice, they told me that it wasn’t a problem. Their customer service is phenomenal, and you can tell that they know what they’re doing. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I have no suggestions. I really like them. We’ve had other vendors in between but we still go back to them. We like working with them and will continue to do so.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open-minded to some of their suggestions. Sometimes you have your own idea of what you want and it might not turn out as good as you think it will. They’re the professionals and they know what’s on-trend.

They do their homework, so take their advice. As much as you want to tell them your requirements, it’s a dialogue. You’re hiring these artists for their creativity. Don’t ruin it by giving too much artistic direction.
