I’m the owner of a jewelry and apparel online store and interactive blog.

What challenge were you trying to address with Keltech Designs?

I started my business from scratch, so I was new at everything. To be honest, I didn’t know what I needed; I learned as the process went by. In the beginning, I just went with Keltech Designs to get a website design.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, Keltech Designs gave us a documentation intake sheet to know what services we were looking for, and we went from there. I already had my base colors picked out, but they instructed me to have 3–4 more colors, so they worked with me to add colors to the color scheme. Then, we looked for fonts. I also had a drawing of what I wanted. I gave it to them, and Keltech Designs took the concept and built the website around it.

The website is an interactive blog on WordPress, and the other side is a Shopify store. The team is currently working on both sides, and they’re creating an avatar for a 3D animation video. Additionally, they’ve provided designs for social media. They’ve come up with the heading, business cards, and other images on the website. I work with them to choose the pictures that I like, and we go from there.

When we first started, I just wanted help with the website, but our collaboration has gone further. Whenever I need something done, Keltech Designs contacts me with the people that they work with. They have a repository of people they can talk to for specific jobs, and when they aren’t able to handle it in-house, they send us their way.

What is the team composition?

I’ve had contact with 4–5 people. I primarily talk to the owner, and we have weekly meetings to disclose where we’re at with the project. Also, they have a separate team doing the social media and dealing with technical issues when the site goes down. Right now, two people are working on the 3D avatar animation, and someone is working on the video.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve probably spent $6,000–$7,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2021, and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’ve gotten positive feedback from other business partners, friends, and family that I’ve asked to go in and look at the website’s outline.

How did Keltech Designs perform from a project management standpoint?

I can pick up the phone and talk directly with someone about what they’re doing. The delays have been more on my side because I’ve kept adding projects. Keltech Design has kept their pace and done what I’ve asked them to do.

For communication, we mainly use emails. They give me a date to deliver and depending on how many changes I make, that may add more days. Overall, we communicate back and forth.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is very hands-on. Sometimes companies get so big, you end up being passed around a lot. You have to explain yourself to a new person instead of constantly talking to the same person, which I prefer. Moreover, Keltech Designs has bought into my vision.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’re in the process of changing their systems. They previously used tickets to address problems, and the tickets were usually responded to quickly. However, since they’re moving from one system to another, it has gotten a little sketchy, but they’re aware of that. Still, if an issue isn’t being addressed, I can pick up the phone and call.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

In my experience, I should’ve gone with them, told them my vision, and asked them what they could do to make my brand better. Also, I should’ve been open from the beginning and looked at everything they had to offer, which is very clear on their website. However, I didn’t initially understand how launching as I wanted could benefit my brand, so I’d recommend sharing your vision and then allowing them to do their sales pitch.

They were responsible for my graphic and web design work. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They were very critical in helping me design packaging, proprietary artwork, and in creating the initial design of my Shopify website. Keltech also helped me with my Google Ads & Google My Business accounts. Additionally, they advised me on social media advertising — connecting me with the right social media accounts and how to manage them. 

We still occasionally work with them, and I connect with Keltech whenever I need them. For example, I reach out to their team whenever I need assistance with tweaking or adding something to my website. 

What is the team composition?

My primary contact is Shardai (Chief Creative Superhero).

How did you come to work with Keltech Designs?

I reviewed companies through website searches and I compared whose artwork, history, and reviews were positive. I also wanted to partner with a local company so that we could meet in person in Arkansas, and that’s how I found Shardai and her company. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve probably spent $1,500–$2,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement began in December 2019.

I’m very satisfied with Keltech’s work, and they’ve been perfect. Everything has been what I expect it to be.

I’m the owner and master beautician at Vogue Visage Beauty Salon in Arkansas.

What challenge were you trying to address with Keltech Designs?

We were looking to expand outside the state of Arkansas and wanted more brand exposure.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Keltech Designs did a brand refresh and updated the entire look of our website. They added a rewards program, newsletter, and other customer retention components. Their team is also working on our SEO and social media. They’ve designed business cards, fliers, and other collateral for us. We make new fliers each month for different promotions.

What is the team composition?

I’m working with Shardai (Chief Creative), and she has some developers and other resources working for her.

How did you come to work with Keltech Designs?

I’ve worked with Shardai since before she had a business. She was referred to me by an old friend. There were a lot of companies I could’ve gone with, but I felt that she had a personal approach. I don’t understand these technical terms too well, but she broke everything down for me.

How much have you invested with them?

We’re spending $500 per month with them. This covers marketing, website fees and changes, as well as design. We’ve spent around $40,000 since the beginning of the engagement.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with Keltech Designs in July 2012, and our engagement is ongoing. They’ve been with us since the beginning, and I don’t know where I’d be without them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Shardai gives me website and social media reports on a daily basis, and we use Google Insights. The results are good. She was always pushing me to make some design changes to the website, and I got extremely good feedback from customers once I agreed to do it. Everything looks pretty, clean, and up to date. Customers are really excited about the rewards program.

How did Keltech Designs perform from a project management standpoint?

I can contact them through a 1-800 number or a chat if there’s an issue with the website. They set the deadlines, and they have to keep me on track, not the other way around. Their team gets the work done and delivers early. I don’t even check my email; they do all of that for me.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve developed a close relationship with Shardai over time. I like to feel valued as a customer, and I don’t like working with big agencies. With Keltech Designs, I don’t have to wait in line. I can just send them an email or submit a ticket and it’s taken care of. It’s just easier for me since I have other things on my plate.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Don’t be afraid to open your mouth. I don’t know a lot about Keltech Designs’ work, so I have to see the end result to make a decision. They’re accommodating in terms of making revisions, and no question is too stupid.
