I am the owner of New Age Surfaces - a manufacturer of high end surfaces for bathrooms: Shower floors, shower walls, vanity tops, etc.

For what projects/services did your company hire Kucheriavi Studio?

In addition to building physical showrooms, I wanted realistic looking digital bathrooms made to showcase my colors.

What were your goals for this project?

The showrooms had to be both beautiful AND look mid-upper income class. There is an abundance of 3D bathrooms that look like only movie stars can afford them. I couldn't have that.

They were found on Upwork, and had an impressive showcase.

Every few weeks they built a new beautiful bathroom with all its own idiosyncrasies to separate it from our other displays. All the work for each room was original and gorgeous.

What was the team composition?

The design work was primarily done by Halina, which made it easy for me to handle all aspects with a single point of contact.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

An example that says it all: The bathrooms designed by Kucheriavi look so good in my digital showroom, I actually get my own customers calling to ask if they can steal images for use in their own print ads, websites, and marketing campaigns! Every couple months I'll get a call about this.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Excellent. I felt like I was always in the loop on finish dates for each portion of work.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I've worked with dozens of remote freelancers for my outsourced projects over the past few years. Out of all of them, Kucheriavi is my favorite.

No.

For what projects/services did your company hire Kucheriavi Studio?

We hired Kucheriavi to help design our house. The project was particularly complicated as it involved restoring a 150 year old wooden house and building a new part of the house adjacent to it. Kucheriavi created detailed visualisations of the interior and exterior and helped with the detailed technical design of certain areas.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal of overall project was to totally renovate an old house, together with a new build. The goals set for Kucheriavi was to ensure that there was a clear understanding of the finished product to ensure that the outcome would be as we expected, to avoid rework and to ensure that all contractors had a clear view of the endgame.

How did you select this vendor?

We did an online search for suitable firms, including using Upwork. Then, we selected a shortlist of three vendors and gave each one the same project to do (on a paid basis). One the basis of several criteria (e.g. responsiveness, accuracy, creativity, practicality) we made the decision to appoint Kucheriavi.

Describe the project in detail.

To start, the vendor used the best available electronic version of the house plans to construct their own version of the plans. Then we progressively addressed each area of the house (e.g. exterior façade, room, staircase) to iteratively produce a suitable design. For each area, we gave our initial thoughts to Kucheriavi and then they prepared a first draft, including our thoughts and their input. Then we iteratively produced subsequent drafts until we were both satisfied with the outcome.

What was the team composition?

Halina Kucheriavi worked directly with me throughout this project. From time to time she was assisted by her colleague on certain parts of the project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After eighteen months, the construction project is nearing completion. Key results that demonstrate success of the work done by Kucheriavi include the following:

• The buy-in from workers (e.g. carpenter, electrician, plumber) was materially increased when we could share the visualisations of the finished product, so that all had exactly the same goal.
• There was no rework at all where we were all working to the visualised version of the plans.
• The finished outcomes are extremely close to the visualised version, demonstrating that the work produced by Kucheriavi was practical and implementable.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Highly effective. Even though Kucheriavi never visited the project site, they worked as if they were on site. Communication was mainly by email and Kucheriavi were timely and accurate in their communication.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed by the quality of their visualizations, creative ideas, and speed of response. I also liked their willingness and determination to find the right solution for our needs.

For what projects/services did your company hire Kucheriavi Studio? 

We were about to erect a multi-unit building and needed to produce some 3D renders prior to beginning construction. It was a tight deadline, but this would allow us to list items for sale immediately. Kucheviavi Studio joined the project to develop the exterior and interior visualizations for the property.

We wanted high-quality work delivered promptly.

How did you select this vendor? 

One of my colleagues in the real estate business referred me to Kucheriavi Studio as the best-valued 3D rendering studio. 

Describe the project in detail.

To meet the construction deadline, we relied on Kucheriavi Studio to develop two exterior and three interior renders in less than three weeks. We provided the team with a floor plan for the interior images and photos of the environment for the external ones. Although the photos were overexposed, they quickly established a clear outline and roadmap of the project before delivering as expected. 

What was the team composition? 

They’re a family-owned studio that consists of two people. The main advantage of working with such a small company is stellar customer service. They gave us all the attention we needed.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success? 

We achieved all our goals—they incorporated our revisions and delivered the final renders within three weeks at a very reasonable price. 

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

There isn’t really a hierarchy in the company, so I communicated with the actual people who would be working on my project. This minimized misunderstandings and sped up the entire process. 

What did you find most impressive about this company? 

I was blown away by everything, from what they were able to do with our existing assets to how accurately they rendered the visualizations. They delivered in a timely manner and had prompt communication. 

Are there any areas for improvement?

This is personal preference, but if you prefer concise documents, bring this up right away. Kucheriavi Studio typically goes into detail when documenting, and I simply don’t have the time to read through it all. Once I told them this, they were happy to accommodate.

The project that I needed to be completed included detailes space planning, CAD drawing and 3d visualization of the bakery. It's complex due to the small interior and many requirements to the equipment placement, HVAC requirements and other details.I required a set of drawings for renovation and custom furniture production, 3d visualization of the bakery in details.
