They designed, created, and SEO optimized our website - and keep it running so that we are consistently at the top of page 1 of Google for all the relevant search terms. What were your goals for this project? A professionally appearing website as well as increased SEO and website traffic.
SOLUTION
How did you select Jax Media Team? Initially a web search. I was able to review their gallery of other websites and cross-reference search engine results with keywords that I would use to find companies of their nature. Once I saw the results were acceptable, I decided to work with them. Describe the project in detail. As I mentioned, we use the Jax Media Team as our outsourced marketing department. They designed, created, and SEO optimized our website - and keep it running so that we are consistently at the top of page 1 of Google for all the relevant search terms.
Additionally, they have provided sound advice on numerous other marketing efforts and coordinated with other web developers, branding experts, email marketers as necessary so we were able to remain focused on running a successful business as opposed to being marketers. What was the team composition? Our point of contact was initially Patrick Cruz who is the founder of JMT, but over time we also worked with Alan Smodic and John Darabos as well. John Darabos is the website design expert, while Alan Smodic has great expertise in SEO.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success? Our clients like and use our website. We are consistently on page 1 of Google for relevant search terms. Our web traffic has increased year over year consistently. How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs? The workflow has been effective. We have communicated via email, phone, and face to face interviews. The primary challenge - as has been with any website designer or marketer - is the nuances of our business and the regulations that we must operate within because of our specific industry and the government entities to whom we report. Once we had set those parameters effectively, we did not encounter many miscommunications. What did you find most impressive about this company? Whenever there is an issue or a problem that needs to be worked through, the team is extremely responsive and usually resolve any issues within minutes or hours, not days. Having worked with many other IT professionals, website designers, SEO and digital marketing companies, in the past, I can tell you that JMT has surpassed all of our expectations. Are there any areas for improvement? While expert at their job (SEO, branding, brand awareness, etc), I would not call JMT particularly creative - or at least not in our industry. Our clientele skews heavily toward financially successful Baby Boomers, while the JMT team are primarily millenials.
As a result, sometimes we have had to "massage" the message occasionally in order to make sure we are resonating with our seleted demographic niche. However, I suspect this is an issue with any niche business working with a marketing firm. One's message is always one's OWN, not an outsourced firm.
