I’m the owner of a co-working space in downtown Phoenix, Arizona.

We needed a new website and updated brand materials.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started out with a branding update, refining and modernizing our existing brand assets. They went through the entire design and implementation process from there, working with the inspiration images that we provided. The site they created was through WordPress. They were responsible for incorporating our new branding look along with SEO work into the new site. Over the course of our relationship, they also created some print marketing and social media materials.   

What is the team composition?

I worked directly with four people: a designer, a developer, the owner, and the art director.

How did you come to work with Ivio Agency?

They’re located near us and we were familiar with them beforehand. While we were searching for agencies, we knew that their portfolio was strong and matched up with our needs.  

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $20,000 in total.  

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2017, and the site launched in December 2018. Since them, we’ve developed an ongoing relationship with them for ad hoc marketing materials.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have nothing but good things to say about their work. I was impressed with their willingness to take our feedback, keeping in mind all of our requirements at every stage of the process. They always entered into tasks with a can-do attitude, trying to make all of our suggestions happen within our budget and time frame. We also felt that they were very creative in bringing our inspiration and requirements to life through design work. The final site was appealing and user-friendly.  

How did Ivio Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very responsive, immediately getting back to us over email whenever we had additional questions. I had direct contact with members of the team. For instance, I could talk to the designer directly if I had questions about their design work. We didn’t have a middleman, and everything was able to be tracked well. They were always available via email or phone. Our meeting cadence changed depending on how far along we were in the project. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They always had great suggestions to ensure that we were capturing all possible leads. We felt that they took a creative approach to marketing their design work as well to ensure that we made the most of the content across many platforms. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I didn’t have any complaints. It was very smooth sailing.

Come to them with ideas and the understanding that they can bring ideas to the table as well. Listen to them because they know what they’re doing.

I am the founder of an online publishing and digital marketing company. Essentially, what I do is buy out blogs in a variety of industries such as lifestyle or finance where the owner has moved on, and then I turn it around.

From there, I reach out or have people reach out to purchase advertising in the form of sponsored content, primarily. I typically end up running those or in some cases reselling the blogs as fully-fledged businesses through a broker.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ivio Agency?

I was looking to take my business to the next level through a variety of on-page SEO and keyword research so that I would be able to improve my ROI through sponsored content even further.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Their team helps us with the takeover of a few specific websites that we acquire, and depending on the condition of each works to build out some pages and redesign the UI/UX. They also do keyword research in the industry and help us start ranking on those pages as quickly as possible through internal technical support and keyword recommendations. Our team handles the actual content creation and sponsor outreach process after that.

What is the team composition?

I work primarily with Dustin (Principal) and one of his employees at the agency.

How did you come to work with Ivio Agency?

They first came to my attention on an online forum, and I really liked what others had to say about their communication skills. I kept their page bookmarked for a while, and when it felt like the right time for my business, I decided to move forward with them.

How much have you invested with them?

Our total investment with them has been about $12,000–$13,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership started around October 2019. We wrapped up our most recent project back in May 2020 but have an ongoing engagement plan to keep hiring them as we acquire new websites and need help with various elements of our strategy.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since I started working with them, I’ve definitely noticed a significant uptick in the rates I am able to get for the sponsored content on the sites they service. Because they have put me onto Moz and other analytics sites, I am able to cite those statistics directly to my advertisers which makes the negotiation process much easier to navigate.

On top of that, of course, the clicks that we are getting on the sites because of those keyword positions have gone up, and they’ve helped to give me a basis for continuing that improvement on my own as well.

How did Ivio Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

We primarily made use of email to keep track of progress on the projects, but if I ever had more in-depth questions or needed to reach them quickly, they were always available to speak on the phone.

The statistical reports on keywords were very consistent and always stuck to the expectations that they gave me upfront, which I really appreciated. I use my Google dashboard to track and manage the actual data on the sites, and they were more than capable of working within that system so that I didn’t need to adopt an entirely new platform.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really admire their team, and especially Dustin’s passion for what they do. They make it a lot easier to work with them on different projects because even though my business isn’t the most exciting one, they are always very motivated and reliable. I also appreciate the effort they’ve put into educating me on why they target certain types of keywords, why they set up sites the way they do, and other areas that can help me as a business owner in the long run.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their pricing structure could be a little bit easier to understand, but that’s only because they customize it to the needs and capabilities of each client. They would never use that to try to overcharge a client, so it didn’t cause any problems for me.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Get on the phone with them to make sure that you are on the same page from the beginning. Their team is great at communication, so there isn’t any problem that you can’t solve by discussing it with them. Each business has unique needs and systems, but they will be able to tailor their solutions exactly to yours if you lay them out from the beginning.

I am the owner of Cactus Corn, we’re an on-site production of specialty snack and dessert items for events, fairs, festivals, and sporting events.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ivio Agency?

We wanted to build a website that was more reflective of what we do as a business. Our goal was to attract more event producers and people to find us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started over from scratch and they built our website. In addition to helping with all the designs, they’ve also handled all of the backend development. Also, when it was set up, they helped with my Google Ads campaigns, as well, working on marketing efforts. 

They also have integrated a Shopify site into our existing platform to pivot due to COVID-19. When I want to add a new product, I can pop it in and have it live. We’ve done special occasion gift boxes, like 4th of July boxes, on the website. 

Now, I’d like to use them again to go back in and clean everything up and launch a few different programs. They had to put everything together pretty quickly due to the event revenue stopping, so we’ll hopefully be able to add a few more things to it. 

What is the team composition?

I have one point of contact, but I touch base with another individual for some tasks. They supply a frontend design team that I work with and there is a backend development team, too.

They are a local Phoenix business and we were in a business group together. They seemed to be the perfect fit.

We’ve spent around $7,500. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2018 and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

With the Shopify site, it’s what we could have hoped for. They made the design look really good in a short period of time. I’m pretty happy because it’s converting and generating consistent sales every day without having to spend any marketing resources yet. 

How did Ivio Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

Everything I’ve asked for has been handled in a timely manner. Ashlyn (Digital Advertising Operations Coordinator) is open to hearing my suggestions and utilizing my feedback. If there are some things I don’t understand, they’re able to make the decisions for me and produce great end results. 

For the process, we had an initial design meeting and then emailed back and forth on a weekly basis. We’ve set deadlines and they meet them. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

In addition to great design, they have great development resources and skills on their team. For example, I’ll be looking to launch an app and I’ll use Dustin (Principal) to explore development options because of their skill. He’s been able to help with an array of tasks and they serve as a one-stop-shop.

There are no surprises and it’s always within our budget. Everything has been seamless and they’ve hit the nail right on the head. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

As far as what I’m looking for, they’ve met my expectations. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d recommend listening to their feedback and giving their creative team free rein to come up with ideas. Allow their team to be creative and give them leeway to work.
