The agency was engaged as our technology and product partner to build the foundation of a modern RSVP and guest management platform purpose-built for large-format Indian weddings and complex events.

The objective was to translate a domain-led vision into a scalable SaaS product — enabling a non-technical founding team to launch quickly, validate real planner workflows, and build infrastructure capable of supporting future expansion into additional event categories and integrations.

What impressed me most about this company was that they didn’t behave like a typical development agency — they operated like true co-builders. From day one, the founders were personally involved, not just overseeing delivery but actively shaping the product vision alongside me. As a non-technical founder, that level of strategic partnership made a significant difference. They didn’t just ask what to build; they challenged assumptions, refined workflows, and helped translate real-world operational chaos into structured product decisions.

Another unique aspect was their CTO’s forward-thinking mindset. While we were focused on launching the MVP, the underlying architecture was already being designed for scale — future integrations, automation layers, and product expansion were considered early. That balance between speed and long-term thinking is rare. They moved fast without cutting corners, and every decision felt intentional rather than reactive.

Most importantly, they helped me go from idea to live product without losing momentum, clarity, or equity — which for a non-technical founder is incredibly valuable.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Iterator could have done differently?

Overall, the experience was very strong, but like any fast-moving 0→1 build, there are always areas that can be refined as the product matures. At times, given the speed of execution and the collaborative nature of working directly with senior leadership, more formalized documentation and handover structures could have been introduced earlier to support internal onboarding and reduce reliance on live discussions. As we transition from build phase to scale phase, additional process standardization around release cycles, documentation, and knowledge transfer would further strengthen continuity for a growing in-house team. That said, these are natural evolutions for a product moving from early-stage development into operational scale, and they do not take away from the overall quality, commitment, and strategic value the team delivered.

Project Summary
Iterator supported Lumency on the redesign and rebuild of Touchstone, a Lumency-owned proprietary sponsorship proposal/request intake and evaluation SaaS platform. The goal of the engagement was to modernize the product’s design, improve usability and workflows, and transition the platform from a single-tenant architecture to a scalable multi-tenant SaaS solution that could support multiple enterprise clients securely and efficiently.

The project covered end-to-end product design and full-stack development, including backend architecture, frontend experience, workflows, scoring logic, and infrastructure. The work was delivered in phases, starting with a production-ready single-tenant build and followed by a conversion to a multi-tenant model to support future growth.

Overall, the engagement focused on creating a stable, scalable, and user-friendly platform that could support sponsorship request intake, internal review, scoring, and reporting for enterprise clients.

We needed someone who could understand our niche business idea in a country that was still nascent to the kind of tourism we were proposing. We needed someone with the right intellect and sensitivity first. After this, we needed someone with the right expertise, experience, and confidence to build a website that would give us a 10–12-year runway and support. Since the website was the primary funnel to showcase our products, we needed someone who ticked all of these boxes.

This includes beautiful pages for hosting our stays, a detailed page with many features for our journeys, drag-and-drop features for us to customize each page, an ability to manage, update, and modify our website independently if needed, and an auto price calculator for stays.

What Iterator has built for us continues to function despite just minor modifications and feature builds, which testifies to their approach of future-proofing products. Our website continues to be the primary driver for all of the revenue we generate. We’ve grown into a $500,000 business in revenue generation. Thanks to Iterator, the 1 million+ visitors we’ve had on our website have stayed on the site for an average of 6.4 minutes each.

We’ve also noticed a significant increase in customer inquiries, bookings, and operational efficiency as a result of the website and systems Iterator has built.

For someone like me who isn’t tech-savvy, having someone on call for troubleshooting is important. Iterator is always available in case of any issues, which I appreciate. Other measurable outcomes include the fact that our business is growing, and it’s largely because of Iterator.

How did Iterator perform from a project management standpoint?

Iterator has delivered on time for the most part. In case there are delays, they let us know in advance with the reasons for the delay. Although this has been rare, taking accountability and keeping us in the loop is far more important to me than anything else. Communication is key, and Iterator excels at it. We communicate via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Neil’s (Founder & CEO) availability has been invaluable, including during moments of emergency at odd hours. His dedication is evident. He’s able to keep his team inspired and motivated, which reflects in the service they provide to their customers.

Moreover, being able to reach out to them over a call or text when we need to, as opposed to waiting for days to receive email responses or generic customer service replies, is something I’m not a fan of. Iterator excels at this. Of course, technical expertise is important, but the human side is equally important.
