What challenge were you trying to address with Invica, LLC?

We needed a production company to help us air broadcasts in a professional way.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve worked together for almost a decade, and they’ve provided a multitude of services. They usually have a five-camera crew at each project. They also provide editing for pre-taped interviews and in-game production for all the different elements of broadcast. The team executes commercial logs, sponsor graphics, and both on- and off-site recording.

What is the team composition?

We usually have a seven- or eight-person crew at each event.

How did you come to work with Invica, LLC?

They were recommended by the sports director of a local news station. He had previous experience working with them on other projects and knew their work.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in the winter of 2009. We just had a broadcast with them, and the relationship is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Public feedback is very good. We’ve grown over the years, and our broadcasts continue to get good reviews from both our television and online audiences. We have live streams on Facebook and other platforms, and we’ve moved in a direction that matches the viewership of the times. We continue to evolve and get better.

How did Invica, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

They can go into any situation—be it a stadium with a booth or a gym with a space in the bleachers—and adapt to the environment. They can have camera operators on the ground, on platforms, up high, or on extended video sticks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very accommodating, flexible, and consistent in their production. They’re a company we can count on. Even in situations where we have no live signal, the team finds ways to get the broadcast out. They can engineer any situation to work in our favor.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve worked with them for years, and there’s nothing consistent that they should change. There are occasional camera angle issues, but they self-police those aspects and adjust. They continually work to improve and expand their product. They stay current with technology and are good at self-analysis.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Outline the project clearly and make sure everything is in writing. Know what deliverables and outcomes you need and sign a contract with them.

I am the head of marketing at Corrigan Sports Entertainment. We operate a variety of sports marketing events around the Baltimore area.

What challenge were you trying to address with Invica, LLC?

We needed a production company for our game of the week broadcast for a private school lacrosse league in Baltimore. We were looking to film the games and live-stream them on social media outlets.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve worked together on 30 or more events so far. We require two or three cameras for our broadcasts, and they provided us with all the equipment and their own production truck.

What is the team composition?

We often work with the president of the company, who also serves as the primary producer or director. They also bring four or five people to help with every broadcast.

How did you come to work with Invica, LLC?

They were referred to me while I was working for a different business in the lacrosse world.

How much have you invested with them?

This last season, we spent around $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement? 

We started working with them in March 2017. Their latest event with us was in mid-July 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In the lacrosse space, it’s uncommon to see high school games broadcast live on any platform because it’s not a big sport. But they have done a great job with our games of the week and broadcasting them to a large audience. We have other partnerships in place to make it work well, but in terms of the filming and the production, they do a great job.

How did Invica, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

The attentiveness and quality of work they provide us was exactly what we were looking for.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They cast a wide net with their ability. They managed to get our games on Facebook as well as ESPNU and ESPN3.

Any advice for potential customers?

Communicating with them is important. Make sure your expectations are made clear from the beginning.
