GreenSight has developed an aerial intelligence platform that detects drought and plant stress and diseases before you can see it with the naked eye.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire Intent Solutions Group to accomplish?

We realized back in 2017 that we needed a dedicated long-term software development partner that could bring not only world class technical talent but also thought leadership around the people, processes, and technology architectures related to custom software development.

We needed a partner that could really help us scale, reduce risk, and deliver high quality software on a consistent basis. Over the years Intent Solutions Group has helped us continually improve our agile processes, keep our technology architecture modernized, and implement many new features and modules to our overall platform.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Intent has been assisting us as a partner for 5+ years in continuously developing and extending the TurfCloud software platform. They support us across all areas of the software development lifecycle such as with front-end development, back-end development, quality assurance, DevOps, and product management.

The team is continuously adding new features and integrations to the existing version of the app, and they're also building the new version of that app that we'll release soon. Support for the configuration, tracking, and management of autonomous robotic lawnmowers, development of an advanced mapping portal that displays data from the Greensight drone, implementation of an advanced chemical planning, costing, scheduling module are examples of major Epics that have been developed.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

TurfCloud supports hundreds of customers with tens of thousands of transactions daily. This is a direct result of the scalability and usability of what we have built with the help of Intent. We have built industry first deep integrations with the biggest companies in golf providing a single portal for robotic and IoT devices.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Intent helped us set up a single integrated global development team workflow and communication structure in the very beginning of our engagement. We now see that communication and workflow are critical to success.

We are all following the same process and using the same process language so workflow between your team and theirs isn’t really something that we think about at this point; communication and workflow are seamless.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Intent Solutions Group is really a true strategic partner for us. Although they spend most of their time writing code, testing code, and deploying code, it is the subtle things outside of these main functions and the mindset of the team members that really makes the difference.

They seem to thrive on solving complex problems with simple solutions, they share their point of view on things, and they take ownership.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Intent Solutions Group could have done differently?
