I'm the global team leader software applications at ASK Industries, an automotive audio company. We're a first-tier supplier for the automotive industry, manufacturing sound systems, amplifiers, speakers, and antennas. Our company does a lot of software work, and we're involved in R&D.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with int2code GmbH?
We had a peak in workload and needed external developers to help us.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
int2code GmbH provided development staff augmentation services for ASK Industries, specifically targeting our automotive audio software. The team developed embedded software, namely our amplifiers' firmware. int2code GmbH worked as a team member for our project.
int2code GmbH assisted in developing software that amplifies and controls music in the car. Users can change the sound with the equalizer. The software also has hands-free functionalities for phone calls. If a user gets a phone call, the software automatically attenuates the music so that the user can get the phone call. The same is true if the user has a navigation system, when the app gives directions.
int2code GmbH also developed features for electric cars to warn pedestrians and cyclists because those cars are very silent. The team collaborated in producing artificial noise from electric vehicles so that people could recognize them, as well as artificial engine sounds for sports cars. The software that int2code GmbH helped us build enhanced the engine sound artificially with some synthesizers.
int2code GmbH built the software using C. We leveraged a Jenkins build server, a repository system, and Autosar, a predefined stack by the company Vector. int2code GmbH used Vector tools and connected to it via Ethernet. int2code GmbH handled application software, software integration, and software architecture.

We worked with 6–7 members of int2code GmbH's team.
How did you come to work with int2code GmbH?
Rafal was a former colleague of ours. He decided to leave ASK Industries to drive his own company, which is int2code GmbH. We had a very good relationship. I knew he was very skilled, gifted, and smart, and I was convinced he'd have good engineers. We contacted int2code GmbH because I was convinced they had good people.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested between €250,000 and €500,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2019, and the engagement ended in June 2025.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
int2code GmbH was the best external company we collaborated with. The team showed us how we can learn from other companies to do things differently from us and more efficiently. The team also gave us some training.
How did int2code GmbH perform from a project management standpoint?
int2code GmbH didn't do project management because they were part of our development team. Our project leaders guided them. We used Git and Polarion from Siemens. We communicated via Microsoft Teams and email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The most impressive thing about int2code GmbH was Rafal; he's highly gifted at finding excellent 9engineers. We absolutely relied on his people. Rafal exchanged team members who didn't perform with other colleagues to ensure they met our requirements.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren't any. We had no complaints at all regarding int2code GmbH.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
int2code GmbH's efficiency and performance are outstanding, and their pricing is reasonable. int2code GmbH's developers are located in Poland, which makes the cost lower than in Germany. int2code GmbH's hourly rates aren't cheap but are okay.

It includes full-stack development from platform bring-up to application-level integration across classic and adaptive AUTOSAR environments.
