Development, testing and operationalisation of our iOS and Android app front end interfaces using Rea t Native, back end event driven architecture and cloud infrastructure stack leveraging node.js, AWS and Terraform. This includes the performance/load testing of the platform using K6. 

No fixed deliverables as SoW is being executed on a resource augmentation basis

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project is still in delivery phase but the key measurable outcome we are tracking against at the moment is feature completion for MVP.

Insighture have responded to our needs fantastically well, ensuring that we have the relevant level of skilled resources as well as providing incredible agility to onboard these resources quickly and efficiently. Insighture have also provided architectural guidance and are fully engaged on ensure we not only deliver the MVP but to also deliver an MVP of very high quality.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The culture of Insighture is one of their strongest assets. It is easy for a company such as Insighture to provide skilled resources but another thing to go beyond this and show the levels of engagement, commitment that they do. All our allocated resources from Insighture, irrelevant of their experience level are always fully engaged and feeding back ways of improving not only our product but also our ways of working. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Insighture could have done differently?

At this point nothing at all - Insighture have reacted quickly from day one of the discovery phase of our engagement.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• Reduction in AWS infrastructure costs for same scale of application usage. Increase in scalability headroom for a given configuration. Known configurations and costs to reach customer specified scaling objectives. Inclusion of performance and scalability aspects in all product development and deployment. Easily met AWS Well Architected Performance and Cost Pillars assessment

We met on a semi-regular basis to discuss progress towards specific deliverables and how they contributed to stated objectives. They were open and pragmatic about obstacles and how to get around them. Delivery was continuous, with ongoing demonstration of achievements to our teams. They were flexible in terms of changes of focus from planning to execution when required. They became a valued member of our team.

Their ability to focus on all of the detail required to bring about the objectives. This required a thorough appreciation of the problem space and a working level of knowledge across many domains.

Insighture were contracted to supplement our in house payment team and assist them to build and run their services. In addition they were responsible to building our PCI compliant card store and proxy for internal use. For all applications and services developed Insighture were responsible for 24x7 support.

• Insighture integrated well with the team, our culture, and our way of working. On the PCI project they were very proactive in learning new domain and technical practices with little guidance from us. Working across timezones have worked well as the team are self sufficient

Yes. We followed an agile delivery model with a daily standup and weekly planning. Any unknowns and delays were flagged proactively.

The people we worked with did not required micro management, which has been our experience with previous outsourcing arrangements. There was no additional management layer needed as our team was able to directly communicate with the dev team as required
