I am the founder and developer of a company that builds garage suite communities.

We are a new concept in real estate and, as such, needed to create content that would allow folks to understand our concept and get them excited about the potential to buy our units and join the community.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I met Tom at a local auto show before we even broke ground. He was very diligent and thoughtful to keep up with the project, and as we neared completion, he reached out to see if we would need their services to promote the project, which we did!

We discussed the project, what we needed, what we were struggling with, and how he could help with all of those needs to further our sales. It became clear we needed a lifestyle video, a more typical real estate sales video, some online marketing-focused content, and pictures to support our efforts.

What were the terms and the value of the lease, and what percentage did Innova Digital take in commission?

The term of the deal was fair and required multiple days at the sit shooting as well as the back-end editing and content creation.

Tom brought 2 additional people to help with shooting the events. One shot additional photography while the other helped with the videography.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the engagement or general feedback about the services?

The content created was awesome! Tom really took the lead, which made the process very easy on our end and nailed it. He was aware enough to take the time to build a complete picture of our wants and needs and made sure to address them in his deliverables. It was perfect.

Tom was very easygoing and friendly through the process. He was very responsive, and we communicated with email, video calls, calls, texts, and in person. All of it was functional and appropriate for each application.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Tom really took the time to understand who we were and what end product would best suit our needs. It felt like he was on our team right from the start. With this genuine interest and knowledge, he could take the right pictures or videos in the moment and then edit them to make something that will be a clear benefit to our sales process.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I am hard-pressed to find anything. He really made this a great process from start to finish.

I’m the owner of Dooby Global and we’re a company that focuses on developing products for pets and babies. Our idea is to develop smart and useful products for daily usage that can facilitate baby and pet care.

What challenge were you trying to address with Innova Digital?

Having a good product is not enough to get to consumers. We wanted to be able to convey the information about our products through videos. Therefore, the purpose of the collaboration with Innova Digital is to produce videos that I can utilize as marketing content.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The service they provided included guidance, suggestions, script review, and the actual video production. Additionally, they provided us with photography, editing, and music synchronization for the entire video. The majority of the video was live-action, but small portions of it were animated.

I described my ideas, we wrote the script, and they provided a lot of feedback to facilitate the content generation. For the actual filming, they set up the places, the equipment needed, as well as the models. There were also a few back and forths between us in terms of editing. They shared a few drafts of the edit and I gave them additional feedback and adjustments.

The final deliverable was to amend the deal including the entire story, photoshopping the photos, and also producing two small clips for social media.

Tom (Founder) was the major point of contact, but we did work with people from their team who I didn’t directly interact with.

I found them through Jungle Scout.

We spent somewhere within $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the project in July 2020 and it was officially completed in April 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Innova Digital’s work was excellent and they went above my expectations. There were a lot of details and experiences I wasn’t familiar with, but they were willing to share their knowledge, as well as their professional and creative ideas.

I want to highlight the work they did on my logo for the videos. They made it more animated and vivid and didn’t charge us further for the work. They also added a few more touches to the animation that made the entire video look really great.

Additionally, compared to most of the product commercials on Amazon, the overall quality, atmosphere, and feel of the video were done professionally. It was very elegant and well-made.

How did Innova Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

We had phone and conference calls throughout the project, and we also exchanged documents using Word and Excel. There were also a couple of websites that Tom connected me with regards to the filming locations.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were very impressed with Innova Digital’s experience and professionalism. Usually, it’s not easy to find high-quality work for the price point, but Tom was very passionate and it wasn’t only about making money for him. He wanted to make the video great to his own standards rather than just trying to finish it and collect the money.

He didn’t rush to wrapping it up and he made sure everything was high-quality. We really appreciate all the efforts of Innova and we’re super excited about the video.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything at the moment because things went so well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would say to definitely engage in a conversation with them and address what you’re looking for. That will enable Innova to get things in place in a timely manner.

We hired Innova Digital to create a series of video ads ranging from Six-Second bumper ads, through Ninety-Second cinematic promotional ads as well as 3-4 minute product instructional ads.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were a series of professional videos for YouTube, FaceBook and other Social Media advertising platforms. Ultimately this series of videos were designed to increase revenue for the company.

SOLUTION

How did you select Innova Digital?

We reviewed portfolios of over 300 videographers. While many were talented we felt it was easy to pick out the top five in the group. Many people own a professional camera, only a select few know how to use it professionally.

Even within our top five Innova Digital was a clear outlier. The quality of the videos are what you expect from a high-end production. After meeting with Thomas at Innova Digital we could see that they were clearly the right candidate.

During the first meeting, he understood everything we were looking for and even offered valuable suggestions that we had not considered.

We spent about a month planning a series of videos. We gave Innova Digital a general idea of what we were looking for and they took over the helm. They did an extensive amount of research on our products and our competition.

With their database of information, they presented a series of proposals for us and offered a number of scripts and storyboards - many of which were concepts and product talking points we had never considered. We were impressed even before the production began.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

They provided the film crew and editing. We worked together on a number of storyboards of which they took the lead. In doing this for over ten years generally storyboarding goes back and forth several times.

In the case of Innova Digital, about 90% of the scripts were approved on the first shot. We were very happy with the planning and the execution.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Three months after our initial hire, the series of videos were completed. We have used them as posts through our Social Media platforms, as well as advertising on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and others.

The videos work great as lower, middle, and higher funnel marketing. We could see an immediate improvement in sales as the new videos were going into the queue.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Innova Digital was great to work with. Very professional every step of the way. They were prompt and on time with their commitments. Working together was very natural and easy.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Two of the most impressive aspects we found with Innova Digital were their marketplace knowledge and the quality of the products they produced. They brought our company image into a new era with a modern look and feel. Very cinematic. Very catch. Very creative. They used modern techniques from today's market and applied them extremely effectively to our video product line.

We were impressed with how often we selected their first suggestion. Typically, for example, with a background music track many videographers would provide five or so options, none of which were acceptable. Five grew to ten, ten grew to fifty before we settled on something.

On our series of videos there ended up being seven different soundtracks used throughout. Innova Digital presented us with a total of eight soundtracks. Meaning everything they did from storyboarding, through production, and through the final editing, we liked what they provided from the very beginning. They simply knew what would work best.

We knew Tom Brown from other projects we had worked together on, and chose Innova Digital to showcase our new 5 O'clock Tower building for us, and particularly to tell the story of the almost 10,000 feet of automobile artistry that resides there.

What were your goals for this project?

Most of our marketing is for the sole purpose of selling real estate, but the mural project was created just for the love of automobiles and the stories behind them.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We were searching for a good company that could be an ongoing partner for our video projects and had suffered through several "dud"s before we were introduced to Innova Digital. We saw their work, hired them for a project, and continued to use them for several projects over the last 5 years.

Most projects were one day shoots, but the mural project took place over at least 4 shoots spanning a year's time. We did not get too involved because Tom already knew us, and knew what we wanted. He met with us to go over the look and feel that we wanted, and took it from there.

What was the team composition?

Most of our projects were handled just by Tom although for large events he has brought several team members. All were professional and courteous.

Our videos are a way to tell a story, and Innova Digital does that well. Iron Gate Motor Condos has so many intangible benefits. There is a community that has developed around our owner's love for cars.

We always say that no one really needs a car condo because you can store your car anywhere. Tom has helped us show our audience what makes Iron Gate special. You come for the cars but stay for the people.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The developer of Iron Gate is very demanding and it shows in every little detail of the development. The Iron Gate Motor Condos brand is everything to us, and Tom Brown respects that. He is very patient with our many changes, and has grown along with us.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Tom goes over the look and feel that we want, and rarely do we have to repeat ourselves. He listens and delivers. Their artistry with lighting and creating a mood is amazing!

We just wish he hadn't moved so far away!

How did you select this vendor?

Our company searched for video production companies online and we picked Innova Digital due to their previous work regarding sports products. Other characteristics that we chose them for was their level of communication in discussing details for the video and planning (e.g: location, models, music, styling, etc.)

In the beginning, they worked with us to find the style we were looking for based off of other product videos. We discussed ways in which we can create our own style by adapting popular attributes. They were also very patient and transparent with us when production had to be rescheduled to have the product redesigned to prevent confusion. During post-production, they worked with us in helping us select what clips we wanted to include in order to create the most effective video.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

They have been communicating with us from the start in order to make sure that all of our needs were met. They did not hesitate to ask us questions for clarification. They were also helpful in giving recommendations when asked for them.

The video helped increase our brand awareness on Amazon by featuring the videos in Sponsored Video placements, local product page placements, and brand storefront banner placements. We have seen a significant increase in conversions on our product after uploading the video.

The company is incredibly talented and has amazing room for growth in the future when it comes to video production. They are located in Chicago and have a wide range of possible locations for them to shoot and are able to deliver on high city quality at very fair prices.

I hired Innova Digital for their Video Production services.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to have an interview styled story video for new customers to understand the brand proposition and the benefits offered by our Movielogue posters.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I selected Innova Digital after extensive research and found them to be a promising company to take up this project. I saw their demo reels and I was looking for someone with a good eye and who can do justice to the requirements of the shoot.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

The Video was to be a story styled which brings a new customer on a journey about what the product is all about. The scope entailed strategy, scripting, storyboarding, filming, and post production. Since I had background in production, the script and storyboard was co-created and Innova Digital was very open to collaborating which was highly appreciated. Since I was not located in Chicago, the entire pre-production (including casting and location scouting), shoot, and post production was managed by Innova Digital, and done superbly.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Innova Digital primarily provided one person for this project covering the scope detailed above. There were also 2 main cast assigned to the project that were to be leads in the video. There were additional people also featured in a couple of the scenes. The entire process was done very smoothly as Innova Digital listened to the brief, clearly understood the requirements, and even tweaked the final product based on new insights and data received post the brief. This was something I deeply appreciated. There were a 3-4 rounds of feedback but none of the rounds was rework, but mostly about fine tuning the final deliverable.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are off to an incredible start on the business, and much of that is thanks to this video, that helps new users explain how the product may become a part of their lives. We are still too early to publish any quantitative results at this point but qualitative feedback from the video has been excellent.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We were assigned Tom from Innova Digital. He was excellent in communication, scheduling, managing expectations and ensuring we kept our eye on the ball the whole time. He was very open to collaborating and having us involved. He was also very open to listening to feedback and reflecting this into the final plans. Since we are off location, we communicated regularly via Web conferencing and phones.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I would say the most impressive thing was their ability to expand their scope of work to fit the needs and execute them with precision. We tried out new things in this project - longer video, deeper scripting, screenplay ideas etc which Innova Digital adapted to instantly. By the time we got to the shoot, I was highly confident that we were in good hands and were going to get an outstanding video. Which we did.

We got an outstanding product. Nothing that comes to my mind.

30 days after launching our Kickstarter we were 110% funded. The video from Innova was the key feature of our campaign and contributed greatly to our success.

Our project manager was receptive to our overall plan. He wasn’t shy about suggesting improvements and we relied heavily on his technical and creative directive. This form of workflow was very collaborative and worked extremely wel.

We were very impressed with Innova’s ability to bring our concept to life through visuals and audio. The end result was polished and professional. Their ability to create a cohesive video that seamlessly integrated visuals and audio was truly impressive.

We would absolutely work with Tom and innova digital again.
