Like any process to start working with a new stakeholder, the project management process was complex initially. However, they understood the need for more clarity for all stakeholders, making it possible to align and succeed in delivering the final outcomes with all the interests satisfied.

They demonstrated excellent organization and communication skills throughout the project, and were able to deliver on time according to our deadlines. Additionally, they went beyond by putting in overtime hours when necessary to ensure the project's success.

The level of knowledge, experience, dedication and commitment to meeting deadlines is commendable and their communication which greatly contributed to the overall success of the project.

After the two bigger product iterations we worked more with their junior staff and when the more challenging UI/UX arose it always had to be escalated to their senior designer, which does slow down the progress. Of course we do understand that junior staff are ever learning and still commend them for their hard work.

We hired HumbleTeam to help start a larger mobile app project. Their talented designer, Anastasia, designed the app from our description. She designed all the screens that the app would have during its first beta launch. She also built an interactive Figma prototype so we could develop internal consensus about the project.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Anastasia's excellent designs and prototype were used to help internal stakeholders understand the vision of the project. We also used them as the foundation of our mobile app's design, which launched to the #1 spot in the "Reference" category in the US App Store, and #36 overall. 

Hundreds of thousands of people have downloaded the app already, and the design is universally praised in hundreds of 5 star reviews. This design is from HumbleTeam, and we're thrilled with the foundational work they provided.

Anastasia designed the entire app in a remarkably efficient timeframe, and under budget. When she was unavailable for a short time, her colleague filled in and the project continued without losing any time. I was impressed with how quickly they understood our goals and our project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive thing was how quickly Anastasia understood our project and brought it to life. We work in a niche, and it's not always easy to explain our business model to outside contractors, but that was not an issue at all here. I found I could trust Anastasia's opinions and advice on the product design, and I'm glad I did, because our users love the design and UX of the app.

Our first project launched in January 2023 and is enjoying healthy revenue. We are also slated to launch our second project in August of 2023 and have been getting great feedback from our UAT participants.

If I were to sum up the Humbleteam experience, it would be speed and quality. The turnaround time is extremely fast, and the attention to detail is fantastic. I approached Humbleteam to help me conceptualize an idea I had been doing research on and completed a number of different scenarios. My ask of the team was for at least 4 concepts that I could use in a website that I had already designed to help me gain interest in the app idea. Each concept had a different story attached to it which I provided to the team and they turned my words into visuals.

Working with the Humbleteam was great. We were in different time zones and I never felt I was waiting long for a response. We used Slack for more general conversations and the team was very responsive and open to my feedback. ONce I gave my feedback they were able to implement the changes quickly or suggest alternatives that might work better. Overall it was a great experience.

I liked how honest they were about the process and the costs associated with completing the work. Everything was discussed upfront and they were very supportive in how they would do the work and what next steps the industry typically takes. I never felt pressured to do anything and appreciated the depth of expertise they were able to provide.

I originally interviewed and hired one of Humbleteam's founders through a platform called Toptal. After working with the founder briefly, I learned they had an agency to scale support for my growing UI/UX design needs.

I originally chose Humbleteam based on the quality of their portfolio, price compared to US-based designers, and in-house web development capacity.

The project started as a concept and has evolved to include multiple mobile applications, web applications, and a desktop application over the past three years and four months.

We've had numerous designers work on our project (5+) over the past 3+ years. Everyone from the founders, their design managers, project managers, and junior to senior level designers have contributed to our project.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Most of the design that Humbleteam has delivered has already been successfully implemented into our products. The designers and project managers have worked well with our product manager(s), researchers, and engineers to produce outcomes that met and exceeded our leadership team's expectations.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We've always had access to the management team and have felt supported even when transitioning individual members on and off the project as our needs changed or their careers evolved.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The greatest value in working with an agency is that you get many layers of project oversight, feedback, and review from a larger team of practicing designers than you would by bringing design in-house to a startup.

Secondarily, outsourcing to an agency, when done well, should reduce overall cost and risk to your project and organization.

Not at this time. We have navigated the partnership successfully to date.

Humbleteam delivered everything, and now the project is in the final stages. We've got a clickable prototype, positive feedback from users, and well-perceived by the end customer, so now it's time for development.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had an effective and professional workflow that was carefully planned and considered. We started off with a brief overview of the project and after got a detailed plan that was discussed in the group chat. Everyone was very proactive and contributed invaluable feedback and suggestions. The designers, in particular, had an impressive amount of ideas that could be integrated into the process. All in all, the workflow at Humbleteam was incredibly successful and efficient.

The entire team is amazing to work with. As their name implies they approach their work with humility. They make it really easy to provide feedback and iterate quickly.

UX design isn't easy to get right but with them, we can move fast without compromising quality. A few things that impressed me the most were how quickly they dove in and got up to speed, how well they understood the assignment and quickly turned around high-quality designs. But it didn't stop there. The team was friendly, communicative, and very accessible. The team may physically be located in Europe, but they always seemed to be available during East Coast business hours. This team is great to work with!

No, everything was good. We’ve been extremely happy with the work product, the price, the quality and the speed were really perfect for us.

I'm the Product Strategy Clinical Lead at Eko Health, a medical device company that develops FDA approved, AI-powered heart sound and EKG sensors for heart disease monitoring. Our product catalog includes digital stethoscopes and the software that accompanies them.

We needed a UX design for the dashboard of a new tool that lets clinicians document and review information and care for patients.

How did you select this vendor?

We were looking for a designer and Sergey (CEO of Humbleteam), reached out to us to consult and collaborate on the product design.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

I got to know Humbleteam through some work that we began in February 2021, where I was fortunate enough to work with Sergey and other designers. We joined a shared Slack channel together. Sergey was super responsive, we met twice every day. At our first meeting we discussed the project and its requirements. I created a workflow with the logic of what experience requirements we would include and gave them access to our current software, and he was able to take that and create a map of what he would work on first, with deadlines and everything else included.

It was a matter of weeks, extremely fast. The team would make design changes as we were meeting, which was very impressive. Over two weeks, the team accomplished a lot, and they were also very efficient and communicative. That's why we continue to work with Humbleteam.

Sergey and a couple of other designers were the ones making the magic. We would be on calls talking and giving feedback in real-time, and he would listen and make design changes as we went. It was amazing.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As impressive as the design work was, we decided as a company to shelve the product for the time being. We’ll still continue to work with Humbleteam on other projects.

Everything was on time, everybody was very communicative. They did a great job breaking up the designs into various iterations and wireframes, and once it was done, they added our branding and fleshed out the look and feel of the Eko brand experience.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed by how quickly they could move and get things done efficiently.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No. Everybody on our team was wildly impressed at how quickly the work was being accomplished, how far we could get with Humbleteam in such a short period of time, and the quality of the final deliverables. We often reference those designs for other work.
