We hired FCKN for designing and user interface in the form of a data-heavy dashboard for our business intelligence platform powered by AI technology.

What were your goals for this project?

The goals where fast prototyping to support a lean customer development on our side, and a concise logic for the user navigation on our platform. Also, a clean readability and chart design for a fast information consumption were a paramount objective.

I found FCKN® 044 over Upwork, after reviewing and interviewing a handful of companies.

The project concerned a user interface in the form of a data-heavy web application for our business intelligence platform powered by AI technology for the retail industry.

What was the team composition?

To my knowledge FCKN® 044 involved up to two designer. However, as product manager I was interacting solely with the CEO and chief designer Mariia, which was a definite advantage in terms of short communication lines, availability and mutual understanding of goals and priorities.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The major outcome to mention is the ability of lean customer development with a set of interactive designs at my disposal that allow the customers to engage and provide feedback. This is a priceless outcome, especially in new and uncharted markets where target customers and audiences interact with data that they have not seen before.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was well aligned, communication lines were short, synchronizations happened regularly. We used slack, trello and Invision to update, measure, priorities and track progress.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The CEO has an extraordinary work ethic and is a great asset due to her reliable and engaging nature as well as her regard for the projects delivery dates and milestones. Even change requests on short notice have not posed any issues.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Communication was a bit laggy at the beginning, but this substantially improved over the course of our engagement.

Our company was creating a website for finding electronics specifications, including the admin system to manage the specifications database. We didn’t have an in-house designer so we’ve decided to outsource the whole design to FCKN® 044.

What were your goals for this project?

The project goals included - Intuitive frontend UI/UX design - Intuitive Backend UI/UX design - Exceptional ICO landing page to accept investments.

We curated the list of prospects to reach out to. In the end, we had to choose from a shortlist of 3 finalists. The final proposal was won by the FCKN® 044 cause of their transparent approach to pricing and workflow.

They created a brand style guide for our company, then handled web designs for our front and backend as well as our ICO landing page complete with email templates and illustrations.

We've been integrating the new designs into the new platform.

Communication and workflow has been great. We're using Trello, Slack and Invision to communicate between the teams.

Things can always go faster but we're putting an emphasis on quality, which is more important than rushing.

Our website is our product and we had reached the limit of what we could achieve designing everything ourselves. That's what we asked Mariia from Human+Human to do for us.

What were your goals for this project?

We had defined our brand, and wanted to update our design to refresh that and fix a large range of usability bugs we'd found.

How did you select Human+Human?

We looked at a large number of designers online, narrowed down to individuals (rather than agencies) so we'd be sure of who we'd be getting, and narrowed down to people whose work we really admired.

We spoke with a few of them and chose Human+Human because we trusted Mariia to do a good job.

We had a few conversations to explain how the site worked, the bugs we wanted to fix, and to describe our brand. Mariia responded quickly with new designs. We had a couple of iterations based on our feedback, and were very happy with the result.

My CTO and I were the only people who worked with Mariia.

We're very happy with the new design. It fixes the usability problems we had, and it's a great implementation of our brand.

Designed the UI for an app (Beat Pain) . The app was the brain child of an occupational therapist. The app steps users through self rehabilitation at home in order to improve their pain and increase their mobility and daily activities.

I required a clean simple UI design for an app

Originally I secured this developer from Upwork. I reviewed their portfolios and liked what I saw.

Once we selected our vendor, we worked in collaboration on InVisionApp. Meeting regularly and providing feedback to each other. It was a good relationship, with quick turnaround times.

I corresponded individually with Mariia, via Upwork and InVisionApp.

The app was built and approved by both app stores.

Very good.

Mariia was easy to correspond with, she understood the brief, despite being from different countries (I am in Australia) she delivered exactly what we asked for. Turn around times were quick, and she delivered on schedule. She understood the UI/UX environment.
