I’m the firm administrator of an immigration law firm based in the US.

What challenge were you trying to address with Human Resources Mexico?

We wanted to expand our team overseas to have a wider pool of Spanish-speaking team members since most of our clients speak Spanish.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Human Resources Mexico provides HR outsourcing services for our company. We recruit the people, and then they take care of the HR aspect of their roles. We’ve hired team members in administrative roles, receptionists, case managers, and sales department members through their service.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with 2–3 members of Human Resources Mexico’s team, including Diana. Different teammates jump in when we open a ticket and need help with something.

How did you come to work with Human Resources Mexico?

My husband found them through a Google search. They seemed very organized from the beginning, sending over all the paperwork and the benefits that the team members would be entitled to. Human Resources Mexico was also transparent about the cost and the services they provided.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $250,000–$500,000 with them. We pay in US dollars, and the employees are paid in Mexican pesos.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them around April 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Human Resources Mexico has saved us time navigating the employee-employer relationship in Mexico. We couldn’t have done that ourselves. Moreover, they deliver high-quality work.

How did Human Resources Mexico perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate with Human Resources Mexico through emails. Once in a while, we get on a phone or video call, but the majority of the time, it’s through email. They deliver work on time and within budget. They always send us an invoice review before we pay.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Human Resources Mexico has a quick response rate. We usually get a response within the same day or within 1–2 days. They also follow up with us and are good about reminding us if we haven’t responded to something important for HR.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be helpful if they had a portal or dashboard where we could log in and see the details of our employees.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Human Resources Mexico follows the rules, which is good. There are many regulations and things we have to follow, like severance pay or the 13th bonus month. There are also extra expenses we didn’t know about. If you’re going to work with a team in Mexico, be aware that there will be extra costs associated, and that Human Resources Mexico follows the rules to help you be in compliance.
