Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Mediator is a product management system that sits between the major vendors and suppliers based in Bulgaria and e-shops. It handles over 150K products on a hourly basis and gives up-to-date information regarding products' availability, price and much more. 

Currently it uses over 50+ different APIs to source that information. The project is ongoing and in the last versions of the app new functionalities have been added that gives the e-shops new autonomous approach of adding products to their websites.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Developing the app had tremendous impact on our business making our product offers more accurate in terms of availability and price management - something we had to do manually before. By automating this process this gave us competitive advantage and increased our product portfolio.

Our experience with HONE in terms of project management was exceptional. They consistently delivered items on time, demonstrating a high level of organization and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. What truly stood out was their responsiveness to our needs. The deliverable is an app you can link to your stock trading platform. During the trading day and while linked to your platform the app instantly shows useful information and major metrics for the stock tickers the moment you open them in the trading platform. These include: 

• dividend information
• last price
• current yield
• par value
• fillings information 
• and many more. 

The app is sourcing the information on a daily basis (and in some cases realtime) from different sources such as different API endpoints and CSV files sent by our brokerage house. The app is being used by 50+ day traders on a daily basis.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have seen improved efficiency among the day traders which collected the data by themself and by hand before creating the app.

We used Github as our primary PM system which fit us perfectly since we already had experience working with Github. We worked on a monthly iterations and they always delivered on time. HONE have always been proactive in the communication with us making the whole process much easier.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were clearly interested in the topic and respectively in making such app which was important to us. I liked their proactive approach and that they were asking questions in order to understand the problems and our needs more deeply. What I also found impressive is how effective is their team and how they manage such projects without all the unnecessary bureaucracy for both parties.

Are there any areas for improvement or something HONE could have done differently?

I wouldn't say there is something that bothered me during the project.

As no out of the box solution existed at the time that we started our business, HONE was tasked with developing a full seed to sale solution. All aspects of the work were required to meet the requirements of the strict regulatory framework that governs the cannabis industry. Key deliverables evolved as the business did: Ability to register a client, ability to sell to this client, ability to track inventory, ability to perform a recall, ability to launch new products, ability to fulfill orders, ability to transform products, ability to generate reports,to name a few.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Passing Health Canada inspections and being granted a license to produce and sell cannabis. Maintaining this license while adapting to the everchanging regulatory landscape. Having the ability to track inventory through a robust manufacturing process to later fulfill specific orders for clients that were also registered using the holistic solution.

Excellent project management, HONE was always available to us throughout the project and support phases. HONE responded to our needs with professionalism, tact and always with our best interest in mind, using best practice solutions that would best position us for success and scalability in the future. Items were delivered on time and as importantly, within budget.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What we were able to accomplish is such a short timeframe and small budget to start was extremely impressive. Their dedication to the work and ability to problem-solve in real time was refreshing. They made themselves available every step of the way for years to ensure smooth operations. Their turnaround time on issue resolution was phenomenal.

Are there any areas for improvement or something HONE could have done differently?

Nothing of note. There are multiple ways we could have accomplished our objectives differently, but hindsight is always 20/20.
