I’m the corporate communications manager for a global insurance company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hive Los Angeles, LLC?

We needed help with corporate video production.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They produced corporate videos focusing on a company overview for both internal use and global distribution. Some of them we post on our website. Recently we asked them to create a video on the gender gap. They’ve done a total of five videos.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 10 people in total. They hired onsite contractors for the creation of the video. The director, and maybe one or two other people were full-time Hive Los Angeles employees. 

How did you come to work with Hive Los Angeles, LLC?

I was introduced to them by a friend.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $150,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from September 2018–September 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re very satisfied with their work. We really wanted to make the films appealing to a global audience, and we were able to accomplish that. We got good feedback on the video from management and the internal staff. We were even asked by external people which company produced the videos.

How did Hive Los Angeles, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

The communication is great. It’s great to be able to talk to somebody in Japanese. Their English is really great too. They try to understand what we want to deliver for the videos. They listen to us and provide great suggestions. They always stick to the schedule.

What did you find most impressive about them?

When we experienced delays or setbacks, they were able to catch up and get us back on track.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There is a significant time difference, but they’re willing to work during our day to communicate with us. That really helps us.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They really wanted to know what we wanted to achieve. If you have concrete ideas, they will help to build those with even better quality. I’m honest with them, and they really appreciate that. When we had any worries, we just brought it up to them and they tried to fix it.
