I’m the chief experience officer (CXO) for Wurkr. We provide digital workspaces.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hire Tester?

We engaged with them to hire a tester to run a short timebox piece of QA and software testing.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The Wurkr platform is a video-based platform with multiple video rooms all on one screen and users seamlessly move from one to the other. Hire Tester came in to create test plans on the functionalities and features of the office.

Additionally, they’d run through the different features and functionalities on different browsers and devices to make sure and check that they were or weren’t functioning. If they weren’t functioning, they told us what the bug was that was identified.

What is the team composition?

We worked with one person from their team.

How did you come to work with Hire Tester?

I had been chatting with Alex (CEO) for about three or four years, and we happened to need to run some QA and software testing manually on our product. I had a relationship with Alex and reached out.

How much have you invested in them?

It was less than £500 (approximately $700 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

It was 20 hours of work in August 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They found six or seven bugs for us that we weren’t aware of and that helped u improve the product.

How did Hire Tester perform from a project management standpoint?

They met the deadlines. The woman that was running the testing came into the office every day when she was testing and worked as part of our team inside our office. It’s a digital office, so she just logged in.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It has to be their communication. It was fantastic, and they’re very responsive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, what they provide, they do very well. They’re software testers, they test the software, and deliver the results.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s very much worthwhile to jump in on an initial kickoff call with them. That was extremely beneficial.

I am CEO and founder of M01 app. M01 app is a solution for unique restaurants, bars, and coffee shops to reduce their staff cost and help their customers order without a hassle.

Find all possible errors and bugs before adding real restaurants on the software.

They have been working with one of our team members before with some other project with success

Find all possible errors and bugs before adding real restaurants on the software. Create test users, and test restaurants and test this as a real environment.

What was the team composition?

I believe that the whole team size was 3-5 people. We were talking with the person who was in charge. This was the best way to handle the testing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Results and work were amazing, I did not believe that we could do this good testing. The results were easy and understandable to read. They found a lot of errors that we would not find otherwise even we have done testing in a house. They made our software better than before We will work with them a long time 

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was super good! They responded questions and inquiries super quickly. I would not change anything about working with them, it was better than I expected!

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I think the perfect test company can make the software better, challenge the people who have made the code and make the software bulletproof. They did that! As a CEO I do not understand the code that well than people who made the code but all the communication and results were still easy to understand.

No, will work these guys long-term

Thoroughly tested user journeys for various mobile apps. We needed a thorough report to outline any bugs that needed fixing before going public. The project worked with video and multiple complex settings. It was highly important each as tested thorough across multiple devices.

We had a lead point of communication who liaised with various other testers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We received an incredibly detailed and clear test report that highlighted all issues. In order of severity. They went above and beyond with other tests we hadn't requested too. Highly successful. Our App Reelshot was featured Worldwide by Apple multiple times. I strongly put much this down to it being completely bullet proof after our testing.
