Please describe your company and your position there.

WEB3 development company creating blockchain-based games, NFTs, cryptocurrencies and other blockchain based products. I am the marketing and communications head of the company.

For what projects/services did your company hire HEXENS?

We hired Hexens for cybersecurity and audit service for Thrupenny arbitrage bot, which is a tool to optimize the DeFi strategies and create bots.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We based our choice on many factors, including the expertise of the team, which we could assess during several introductory meetings. The other reason was to ensure the quality of the audit. As there are several teams working on one audit, we decided that this approach will give us the best result. Last, but not least, one of the selling points were clients of Hexens. The company was chosen by industry leaders, and we share their meticulous approach to security.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The Hexens team analyzed the source code of the project to find vulnerabilities. By the end of our cooperation, we received a detailed report with the scope of analysis.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Primarily, we had meetings with the CEO and CBDO of Hexens to understand their approach and the conditions of cooperation. After that, we met with their CTO and two Senior Auditors whose teams were assigned to our project. In the final stage of the cooperation, we communicated with Hexens COO to get access to the report and complete payment.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Over 15 vulnerabilities of different severity levels were disclosed. Among the weaknesses, three were of critical severity. After resolving those weaknesses the Arbitrage bot became a constant product.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was quite effective, mostly because of the speed of communication and their internal processes. The audit itself took some time, but the communication part was rather quick and straightforward.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Some companies might use the same approach, but for now, we’re aware that only Hexens assigns several teams to perform one audit. They put the quality of their project over quantity, which is rather rare and impressed us the most.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We can only mention some difficulties in planning work, which was caused by different time zones. The quality of the project was exactly what we needed.
