We would have weekly meetings to review where we are at and the next steps.  Lots of communication witih To Do list created in excel to work through details.

Shubham was a very effective project manager and meetings were always on time and effecient. Even with the time zone differences it was never a challenge to make meetings work.  The next steps were documented well and they implemented the requests I made.

We needed help building a configuration tool.

What was the scope of their involvement?

HexaCoder Technologies built a configuration tool and an admin panel from scratch. The team also integrated existing files and implemented all the components in the campervans that we wanted. Regarding features, the tool allows users to configure the exterior and interior of the campervan, and the admin panel allows us to change all these things.

HexaCoder Technologies delivered a clear overview of the campers we can build, and customers can see the campervan in 3D before it's built. Overall, internal team members thought the tool was well done.

I’m a product manager at OQLO, an AI-powered platform that streamlines site surveys using drones, advanced visualization, and analysis tools, enabling users to easily generate CAD files and comprehensive reports.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire HexaCoder Technologies to accomplish for your AI-powered site survey platform?

We hired HexaCoder Technologies to build a production-ready, survey-grade web geospatial analysis platform that converts our drone LiDAR (LAS/point clouds) and photogrammetry into fast, client-facing insights.We needed end-to-end automation to ingest LAS/point clouds and run terrain analysis so surveyors don’t rely on slow, manual workflows. We also needed survey-grade metrics for reliable cut–fill/volume, elevation profiles, and core site measurements with sub-meter accuracy for construction, mining, and infrastructure.Additionally, we needed a Web 3D viewer with a Three.js-style interactive viewer to inspect, measure, annotate, and share online—without exchanging heavy raw files. We also needed a scalable processing pipeline for coordinate transforms, gridding/interpolation, cleaning, and web-optimized tiling for large projects.Moreover, we needed browser tools for reviews, including polylines, areas, sections, and volume selections with real-time navigation during client meetings. The business outcomes we expected were to reduce turnaround time, differentiate OQLO with a premium portal, and enable white-label/vertical expansions to increase revenue per survey.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of HexaCoder Technologies' involvement in this project?

HexaCoder Technologies was responsible for building our web app and 3D viewer, point-cloud pipeline, cut/fill analytics, GIS, and MIS. The team didn’t handle the operational/survey side, including drone flying and fieldwork, GCP/RTK control, heavy photogrammetry/LiDAR reconstruction/classification in desktop tools, or certified CAD drawings/sign-offs and client delivery operations.HexaCoder Technologies built our platform’s architecture and designed the product. The team created a production-ready web architecture for drone LiDAR and photogrammetry to analytics and reporting. HexaCoder Technologies also created a modular design to support GIS layers and MIS dashboards and scalable storage and processing for large survey projects.

HexaCoder Technologies also built a point-cloud ingestion and processing pipeline (LAS/LAZ). The team imported LAS/LAZ point clouds and project metadata, handled the coordinate system, and performed transformations. HexaCoder Technologies also cleaned, filtered, gridded, and interpolated the data and created web-optimized tiling/LOD. The team generated derived terrain surfaces (e.g., DTM/DSM-style outputs as needed).Moreover, HexaCoder Technologies built a Three.js-style interactive 3D web viewer for the client portal. The team ensured smooth navigation for large datasets (LOD/streaming) and shareable project views for client review. HexaCoder Technologies also built measurement and annotation tools in the browser, including distance, polyline, area measurement, cross-sections, elevation profile tools, and volume selection for cut/fill workflows.Additionally, HexaCoder Technologies built an annotation tool with pins, notes, saved markups, and measurement persistence. The team also built terrain analytics and survey outputs, including cut–fill and volume computations, elevation heatmaps/contours, and site metrics series and exports for reporting.

HexaCoder Technologies also built a GIS module for 2D/3D GIS layers and overlays. The team integrated a GIS layer system to support basemaps and overlays (boundaries, parcels, roads, utilities, assets) and imported client GIS formats (typical: GeoJSON/Shapefile/KML—depending on the final stack). The team also ensured CRS alignment between GIS layers and point clouds.HexaCoder Technologies also built GIS drawing and editing tools for field/survey context, including points, lines, polygons for features, and attribute tagging (feature metadata). The team also built layer management for visibility, styling, and ordering and a legend.

Moreover, HexaCoder Technologies built an MIS module for project operations and dashboards. The team built an MIS layer to manage OQLO’s operational workflow, including project intake, status tracking, and team assignments. HexaCoder Technologies also built milestones for capture, processing, QA, and delivery.

HexaCoder Technologies also built client access, approvals, and versioning of deliverables. The team built performance and business dashboards for turnaround time, project pipeline, utilization, and revenue per project. HexaCoder Technologies also built an audit trail for who uploaded, processed, viewed, or exported data.

Finally, HexaCoder Technologies ensured production readiness and handover. The team ensured role-based access for OQLO admin, pilot, project admin, sales admin, and user. HexaCoder Technologies also performed performance testing for large point clouds and multi-project usage.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

HexaCoder Technologies’ platform reduced our turnaround time from raw drone data to a client-ready portal and report by cutting manual CAD/GIS steps. The platform reliably produced survey-grade outputs like cut–fill volumes and elevation profiles with sub-meter accuracy. Large LiDAR point clouds became easy to review online through fast tiling/LOD, so clients could inspect, measure, and annotate in the browser instead of exchanging heavy files.

These improvements increased our client review speed and helped us deliver more projects per month with the same team while differentiating with a premium GIS + MIS portal. Our turnaround time reduced from seven days to three days (~57% faster), and our monthly delivery capacity increased from eight to 15 projects per month (~88% increase).

Moreover, our manual CAD/GIS effort dropped from 18 hours to six hours per project (~67% reduction), and a 200M-point (~12 GB) site now loads to the first view in 45 seconds, enabling clients to measure and annotate directly in the browser. Our client satisfaction (CSAT) increased from 3.9/5 to 4.6/5, and our NPS improved from +22 to +41.

Additionally, our average client approval time dropped from four days to two days, while revision cycles reduced from three to one per project. Our client back-and-forth reduced from 12 to five emails/calls per project, and our portal adoption reached 85% of clients with six sessions per project and 18 annotations/measurements saved.

HexaCoder Technologies’ project management was structured and delivery-focused, with clear milestones, weekly reviews, and issue tracking to keep scope aligned across the platform, GIS, and MIS modules. The team delivered on time against the agreed milestones, and any schedule shifts were tied to scope additions or data/validation dependencies rather than execution delays. We communicated through virtual meetings.

What did you find most impressive or unique about them?

HexaCoder Technologies was especially strong at making very heavy LiDAR/point-cloud data usable on the web, with tiling/LOD-style performance so client reviews felt fast instead of painful. Their ability to deliver survey workflows end-to-end (viewer + measurements + cut/fill + GIS layers + MIS dashboards) in one system was also unique, and it directly supported our digital-twin roadmap.

Are there any areas they could improve?

HexaCoder Technologies could have tightened documentation and handover earlier (setup guides, pipeline configs, data standards, and admin SOPs) so onboarding new team members was faster. More explicit acceptance criteria for “survey-grade accuracy” (test datasets, tolerance thresholds, repeatable validation reports) would have reduced debate during QA.Moreover, a clearer scope boundary between the web platform and “heavy” desktop processing (classification, registration, photogrammetry reconstruction) would have avoided occasional expectation mismatches.
