I'm the founder of a distillery company. We operate the world's first geothermal-powered distillery and cask maturation facility, using 100% sustainable waste heat from the UK's first deep geothermal power project.

We needed short films to support our funding round.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Here Now Films produced a series of films for us, including one on-site, one interview with myself and one of our founding investors, and another film made during a masterclass event we hosted during a crowdfunding campaign.

Ed contacted me on LinkedIn. I looked at some of their sample films and liked them so much that I decided to meet with them. They were great people, and we helped each other.

We worked together from June 2021–September 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We received positive feedback from investors and supporters of the project. The films helped us close a funding round and provided media for our website and social media channels that we didn't have before, generating more interest in the project and more credibility for what we are doing.

Here Now Films' project management was excellent. They delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Here Now Films was approachable and easy to work with. They were very enthusiastic and proactive and wanted to deliver a great film. The team was uniquely skilled at getting the core story out of the founder and presenting it in a way that engaged the audience.

Tate is a public institution that manages four major galleries, showcasing British art from 1500 to today and international modern and contemporary art, aiming to increase public enjoyment and understanding of art.

What challenge were you trying to address with Here Now Films?

We hired Here Now Films to help create a series of films that shifted our positioning from an exhibition lead campaign to a destination approach. The campaign was aimed at reaching local audiences.

Here Now Films came up with a creative steer for the film and then produced a short film and five shorter versions. The team handled all aspects of production, including scripting, filming, and editing, with our team's support.

We needed to create a thought leadership documentary to tell our story through the customer's voice and enhance our customer's profile with the content.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Here Now Films produced a five-minute documentary. The team handled all-day filming on location with a two-person film crew, scripting, and editing. The turnaround time from filming was four weeks.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Here Now Films delivered a successful thought leadership narrative. The end client was very pleased with the final product, and our internal stakeholders were happy with the production and storytelling. The documentary received 212 views in four days and had a warm internal reception.

Here Now Films delivered on time. The team was prompt with the edits and gave a detailed project management schedule. We mainly communicated through virtual meetings.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

During the Covid pandemic the Eden Project in Cornwall developed an online festival for two years from 2020 to 2021. The aim of the festival was to share positive stories and create a platform of activities and events to entertain and get people communicating and being proactively engaged in a creative activity.  All films had to sit in line with Eden's sustainability objectives. 

Here Now Films were commissioned in both years to develop concepts including storyboards and to produce a series of films which told some of these stories of hope and resilience

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The quality of the films speak for themselves, we had great engagement from the target audiences with the end product but everyone involved throughout the process including the Eden team and those who volunteered to be part of the festival and the filming, had nothing but praise for the crew and the company.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

We had a very set date for the festival so there was no option to not meet the deadline and Here Now Films provided the end products on time and on budget, infact, exceeded expectations in terms of what they produced for us.

Here Now Films has a can-do attitude; no job is too big or too small. They are enthusiastic and knowledgeable, however I would say their most impressive quality is their creativity and their focus on producing the best film possible for their clients.

I’m the co-founder of The Road to Happiness Ltd, a company that builds educational leisure projects and provides consultancy, mainly within tourism and leisure.

We needed to film a proposal for a major new visitor destination project, capturing a complex concept in an attractive, energetic, and accessible way.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Here Now Films did an end-to-end job. They nailed the brief, wrote the storyboards, found the set, crafted the critical issues, helped with the script, filmed the video, and edited the footage. The team provided us with drafts and then finalized the film to go on our website. We received a main promotional film with supplemental footage that can be edited into shorter films for social media.

Our film has received much acclaim and support from potential investors in the project. We’ve also seen significant changes in project momentum and have engaged two major new stakeholders.

The only thing that could have been improved wasn’t down to Here Now Films. It was down to us not having access to some of the specific locations we wanted to use because of private ownership.
