I am the owner of Sarver Movers, which does residential and commercial moving in Austin, Texas.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hen's Bread Productions?

We needed a firm to redesign our website and work on SEO to improve our search engine ranking. I needed a site that would entice customers to submit quote requests.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hen's Bread Productions is redesigning and developing our website using WPX. Per my request, they're ensuring the design has a clean aesthetic. We've adapted the project as necessary to include photography and filming, which Hen's Bread Productions has completed for free. 

As part of the discovery phase, Hen's Bread Productions has analyzed my previous website and my market performance. The data from the discovery is now informing the design process and our SEO efforts. Hen's Bread Productions' team also utilizes Jasper.ai to optimize our content using the keywords we've identified. 

What is the team composition?

I worked with four teammates from Hen's Bread Productions, including Jacob (Owner).

How did you come to work with Hen's Bread Productions?

I was referred to Hen's Bread Productions by a friend who utilized their services. Their team was the most reasonably priced out of all the companies I got quotes from. 

How much have you invested with them?

Overall, we've invested $11,000 for the website redesign and initial SEO work. Once the site is done, I'll pay Hen's Bread Productions an additional $2,500 a month for SEO.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement with Hen's Bread Productions began in February 2022, and it's ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We haven't published all of the site changes yet, but my website has already jumped from the third page of results to the first for some keywords. Hen's Bread Productions has provided me with comprehensive reports about how our website performance has improved since our partnership began.  

How did Hen's Bread Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

Hen's Bread Productions is responsive and easy to work with. Their team regularly emails me to discuss the project. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Hen's Bread Productions has excellent communication and checks in regularly to get my approval on designs. Also, their work quality is really great, especially their site design. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing for Hen's Bread Productions to improve. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I'd advise customers to put together a plan before beginning a partnership with Hen's Bread Productions that includes their target audience and region. Hiring Hen's Bread Productions and going beyond template-based site designs will help customers achieve their business goals.

We wanted to connect with new and existing customers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hen’s Bread Productions has done many things for us. They’ve created promo videos for upcoming events and come to offsite events, such as music, food, and wine festivals to capture what happens on that day. Currently, we’re working on a project to record our history and make engaging videos for our website.

We usually discuss the outcome we want and the general look and feel of the video. We share if we want to capture pecific shots, but we also consider their ideas.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with two people; they’re both videographers and editors. 

How did you come to work with Hen's Bread Productions?

We searched for videographers online. They contacted us back, and they were the ones that we enjoyed talking to the most. We quickly related to them, and they felt like good people to work with, which wasn’t the case with the other people that called us back.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began our partnership in May 2021, and it’s ongoing. We’ve completed many projects and are still working on new ones.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re fun people to be around, so they make long shooting days easier. Also, they have excellent ideas, but they’re very receptive to ours and are willing to build them up and come up with better ones. In that sense, it’s a great collaboration.

Moreover, they’re open to feedback in editing and first drafts. They always ask us to be brutally honest and tell them exactly what we think, and they’re quick and responsive about making changes.

How did Hen's Bread Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very efficient. After an event, it usually takes them one week or so to get the first draft, and then they’re quick on the turnarounds and edits. From a customer standpoint, they manage the project very well because they’re responsive and swift.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team can do many types of video production. If we want a documentary style or a corporate commercial, they can do it. Hen’s Bread Productions isn’t just an assembly line of one type of video production; they’re versatile in what they can do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nobody’s perfect, but they’re just what we need.

Don’t hold back what you’re looking for, but be open to their ideas.

Please describe your company and your position there.

Genesis Drum & Bugle Corps is a youth performing arts non profit and I am a board member.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Hen's Bread Productions, and what were your goals?

We hired Hen's Bread to create a total of 40 videos. About 4 hours of finished content. Most of which was for an online video course and some of which was for a YouTube series.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I selected Hen's because our project involved filming our students and I felt that they would feel comfortable around the Hen's people. I felt I could not only trust them around our students but that the students would like them. That was the deciding factor but of course, their previous work looked professional as well.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

I gave them the audio voice overs for all of the lessons in the course and direction on what we wanted the YouTube series to be like. Then to film the course, I helped direct because it required subject matter expertise. For the YouTube series, I only gave them access to film and to interview people that we wanted in the videos. During editing we had multiple meetings to make sure things we going in the right direction and communicated via Google doc to sign off on edits.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

After the project we had a discussion at length on how we would improve our process if we did it all again. Overall, the project was a huge success so I intend to hire Hen's Bread again in the future.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have had almost 400 enrollments in our course in less than 6 months with almost no marketing. Just 4 posts on our own social media and a key blog spot and a lot of word of mouth.

Phone calls, IG messages, Google docs, zoom calls.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their level of creativity was very high. You can trust that they will put together work that they are proud of.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We would have done some storyboarding for the videos but during our project we didn't have the timeframe to do that before filming.
