I'm the managing director of a Boutique Investment Banking Advisory firm. We are merger and acquisition advisors, guide business owners to prepare for an exit in their businesses, provide management coaching, and strategy consulting.

For what projects/services did your company hire Hawke Commercial Filmmaking?

I hired Hawke to produce a video for a buy-side client. We wanted to showcase my client's talent and experience to help us attract business owners with interesting businesses that might be open to sale or investment.

What were your goals for this project?

I wanted them to showcase that my client was a real guy, with real interest, and the means to buy companies.

How did you select this vendor?

I had been exposed to Hawke when he documented and produced materials for a business conference. I was impressed with his work, his team, and how easy it was to work with them.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

We developed a simple concept: a brief, well-produced, not overly slick video to introduce my client. I wrote a basic script, and Hawke handled the rest. My client was both pleased with the in-studio experience as well as the video itself.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

We discussed what we wanted to do, Hawke produced a quote, we got in the studio, shot it. Shortly thereafter we had a cut to review, we made some edits, and it was done. Very easy to work with this group, they don't try to create something beyond your core purpose, and they offer you options and help along the way.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We used the video extensively and we were able to get more conversations with business owners as a result. That's the outcome we wanted.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was very easy to work with Hawke. They were low key, professional, and good people.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their flexibility, professionalism, and their ability to put you at ease in front of the camera was impressive.

I don't have any recommendations for improvement.

My company hired Hawke Commercial Filmmaking to produce a series of instructive medical video modules to support the launch of my client's medical business.

What were your goals for this project?

We set out to present my client as an expert in the field and as an approachable and friendly personality. We also wanted to depict a high-end medical service.

How did you select this vendor?

I’d worked with Richard (Creative Director, Hawke Commercial Filmmaking) on several previous video projects and trusted his quality and professionalism.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

The videos involved placing the client in front of a white screen and presenting a series of medical lessons directly to the camera. The main challenge was working with the client—someone without professional on-camera experience—to present dry medical content in a friendly and relatable manner. Hawke not only managed a professional set, putting the client at ease, but they also coached their delivery in a patient and effective manner.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

They were open to feedback during the shoot itself, taking notes and participating in a lively collaboration. During post-production, we had two rounds of feedback and then a short period to do some minor clean-up. Richard was responsive and attentive during this time, and I found him easy to work with.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

My client was pleased with the final product, and the website launched successfully last year with our videos in a featured spot on the page.

We couldn’t have worked together better.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their quality and simple collaboration were the highlights for me. Beyond producing a great end-product, they made the process fun and easy.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The only potential improvement would be to build up their staff to scale up production and clients.
