I’m the founder and executive coach of The Kanthal Group. We coach leaders to be more confident and invest in their careers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Handbook Growth, LLC?
I was using SEO loosely and narrowly, so I hired Ersan (Growth Marketing Expert) to help me improve that. The goal was to make more money by having more prospects come to us and closing more deals. I wanted to have a strategy in place to attract the ideal client and improve my website presence.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?
The first thing Ersan did was to educate me and discuss my growth market plan. This included everything from my technology stack, blogs, the services I provide, and the functionality of my website. I handed over all of my online collateral from there.

So far, he’s done an extensive audit of my online presence and identified low-hanging fruit we can correct or update to improve my SEO. We’ve also talked about content creation. Ersan and I work closely in terms of keyword research, and he’s going to create blogs for my website. He’s currently guiding me and my team around best practices going forward. He’s going to do some updates for us and will serve as our ongoing consultant.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Handbook Growth, LLC has exceeded my expectations, and I’m optimistic about what’s to come. Ersan is knowledgeable and experienced, and he delivers results that back up that experience. He’s credible, and the report he provides is clear. It has links to helpful materials and provides definitions and foundational knowledge for me to understand what’s happening. Ersan has explained tech-related things to me in a simple way.
How did Handbook Growth, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?
What’s remarkable about Ersan is he can talk about high-level strategies that’ll positively impact my online presence while also doing the actual work. He’s not too high in the clouds nor too low in the ground — he’s a perfect combination of the two. He clearly outlines time estimates of how long it’s going to take to implement a specific task.

Moreover, he gives me ideas for costs and collaborates well with my staff. I’m never in the dark, and I can check in with him if I have a question. He gives me periodic updates on what he’s working on, the challenges he’s facing, and any additional information I need from him — he’s truly communicative. If there’s any delay, he communicates it effectively. Overall, it’s as good a partnership as I can ever have.

For tools, we use traditional methods of communication. We also use Google Documents, which gives us the opportunity to add notes and see our progress. Otherwise, we use phones, texts, and emails.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re experts and reasonable, and they guide me. They equip me with as much information as possible when making decisions. They facilitate dialogues for any challenging or bigger decisions. They tell me the possible outcomes, risks, and issues and advise me on which things to prioritize first to move the needle. All of these things have been truly helpful for me.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any so far. Ersan has been clear in terms of what he can deliver and when he’s going to deliver. He’s been clear on how he’ll implement strategies and execute their findings, everything has been exactly as he’s said so far.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be willing to invest money and time to see the results you want. On top of that, be confident in the expert that you choose. Clutch is a great place to find real reviews and other vendors with similar expertise — this should make your vendor of choice credible. Moreover, Ersan is a truly likable person. He’s creative and expert in his work; he’s reasonable and fairly priced — he’s a man of his word.
